    the school will not let the girls use the microwave in the school kitchen---a cook has to do it for them, so i spoke to the cooks about their celiac disease. recently one of the cooks asked my daughter about celiac because she thinks her nephew might have it, but her sister doesn't know much about it. i wrote up a list of different sites, foods, and books...

    tianna will be in-patient at seattle children's hospital in their eating disorder program. we will be having an online conference with them on monday at the hospital tianna is in now. they will explain the program to all of us. they will have classes for kevin and i to take while we are there, and reading to do when we come home. i have the feeling...

    we bought the gluten free oats and i made granola for my girls. they have had no problem with them. one of my kids gets nauseated when she eats gluten----and she has eaten a fair amount of the oats without getting sick. christine

    i've just gotten home tonight from 5 days in the hospital with tianna. kevin is staying with her right now, i will go back up on tuesday. i don't think she will be coming home for quite awhile. the doc said he is keeping her there until we have a "plan". her potassium was low, so she is on supplements and a heart monitor. her heart rate is pretty low...

    tianna is one of my twins. she and kassie will turn 15 on the 31st of this month. kassie is pretty thin also, but she weighs 20 lbs more than tianna---and kassie looks healthy. after talking to a counselor today, i think that tianna is anorexic, not bulimic. she doesn't do the binge eating. he explained to me that anorexics will throw up also. kassie...

    the ped gi will be admitting tianna to the hospital tomorrow. she will have an NG tube placed for feeding----the doc said tube feeding doesn't always work with bulimics, but they will get her stabilized while they try to get my insurance to pay for in-house treatment at a feeding disorder clinic--------i hope they know how to deal with celiac. as of last...

    yes----you can test negative to wheat and still have celiac disease. celiac disease is not an allergy, it is a genetic, autoimmune disease. what test results are you waiting on? christine

    my kids have not seemed to have any reaction to their products-----do you think it is just cc issues with the non-gluten flours-----they do say they batch test for gluten. my kids don't have any food allergies----so do you think we are safe? christine

    the web site for bob's red mill says that their gluten-free flour is ground in a dedicated room---sounds like it is separated from other flours. where did you get the info about them making no effort to separate them? are you meaning they don't try to separate the different types of gluten-free flours? christine
