  1. Xifaxan? Probably could not hurt. Make sure to take probiotics after so you can rebuild the good bacteria.
  2. My h. Pylori was negative too. The bacteria is probably SIBO. Usually diagnosed by breath test. Which I happen to be sitting and waiting for myself as i type.
  3. I was originally diagnosed with duodenitis and a small hernia but then the pain then was usually mild with some nausea. there was no mention of a stomach biopsy so I'm not even sure if I Had/have gastritis but my guess is probably yes. I did have some BouTs of pain that were severe enough to wake me up in the middle of the night. One was after 2 glasses...
  4. Unfortunately I think you're going to have to wait this one out and keep testing. I also tried Protonix and then later found out I did not have GERD. When I stopped the Protonix I used Pepcid and magnesium to control the acid rebound. It sounds like you might be getting some cross-contamination though. For a while when my stomach was really bad I also...

    ARCHIVED Help

I'm a little concerned that you're having that much diarrhea for 3 weeks straight. Basic electrolyte imbalances, especially magnesium, can make you feel really bad and contribute to anxiety. Can your doctor draw some basic blood work for you? In the meantime, maybe supplement with magnesium and drink coconut water in addition to regular water.
  6. Did they run any other labs? Were you eating gluten at the time of the test? Do you have a copy of the biopsy? How many samples were taken? There is an EMA and DGP test they could also run for you. In fact DGP is suggested for those with IGA deficiency. No test is perfect though. TTG can be positive for other things and even DGP can be misleading. ...
  7. First, sorry for the limboland. A study published in Italy this past summer confirms the existence of seronegative celiac and you know with your IGA levels, this may be the case forever, or until new tests come out. Did they try tacking on any of the old AGA tests to see if you are positive to them? Testing is weird, I tested moderate positive...
  8. I may not actually have celiac, but one doc I had felt that my blood sugar was dropping when I would get these spells of feeling really bad. My primary had theorized perhaps anxiety attacks but then I discovered that my heart rate would slow way down into the 40's/50's. Sometimes my BP would drop too. Back then I was working out 3-5 times per week and the...
  9. Thank you!
  10. That is a good idea. I think we are doing the bloodwork early on and if no change, again later on. I also have to get the thyroid tackled to figure out exactly what is up there as everything started around the same time. We are further slowly removing xanax that I started taking when all this happened as it too can cause a lot of issues during...
  11. I was on a ppi for a couple of months in the fall. I did not want to take it but figured i would give it a shot. I was told to discontinue it and a GERD PH test revealed normal acid. So I have been off of it for about 2 months. Some zantac or pepcid following d/c of ppi and now totally off everything. 400 mg mag oxide at bedtime since early August.
  12. Thank you so much. Yes, I am on day 8 and am not noticing any increased sickness outside,of what I already had and maybe some morning D. So it certainly has me questioning. If I was as sick as you, I would not continue. Around the same time I became sick my neck began hurting, prompting a thyroid ultrasound months later. So who knows... My boyfriend...
  13. The celiac center actually had told me that they would probably end up suggesting a longer gluten challenge as the first one was six weeks. I spent time/money going there and am unsure yet if I will go there for follow up or stay local. I am supposed to do a virtual visit with them after SIBO testing is done locally on the 5th. My large red wine days...
  14. After doing a gluten challenge roughly a year ago I have had a lot of weird symptoms. my biopsy last year six weeks on gluten was normal my blood work was weak positive. I have been gluten-free ever since March of last year except for still going out to eat and had some heightened blood work in August as well as inflammation but no Villi blunting. the positive...
  15. Thank you. I do take magnesium
  16. I am so sorry. I have this as well. Most of my anxiety comes from not actually having an official diagnosis and still being quite sick. I am terrified that by the time they figure out what I actually have It will be been too late. But I can totally relaTe. Unless you are extremely not capable of functioning during the day I would highly recommend...
  17. I was told by Celiac Disease Center at Mass General that they do not put emphasis on DGP tests as they had some trouble with them. Too many kids testing positive with negative biopsies. Interestingly, those kids were coming to the center for a reason. The center in Chicago informed me that at the very least DGP IGG is more reliable then IGA and weak...
  18. No. This was only at the end of August this year.
  19. Thank you. We did a monitor months ago, just some pvcs. But things are nuch worse.
  20. I read a couple of articles suggesting the reverse, inflammation before actual villi blunting occurs, so it might make some sense that she is healing and may be getting small exposures here and there. Or perhaps she has SIBO or something. Do keep us posted!
  21. So, in the 90's, celiac researcher Alessio Fasano came to the US and noted that the rate of diagnosed celiac was roughly 1 in 10,000 but more like 1 in 250 in Europe at the time. He and his team paid a processing fee for some blood from the Red Cross and tested it against TTG. Guess what? The US is just like the rest of the world, the disease was not being...
  22. Back in March I started getting some skipped beats, a bit unnerving but I figured I was just developing PVCs. In July I actually had some kind of arrhythmia at the gym. I had 2 stress tests, monitors and an ultrasound of the heart and all looks good except for some PVCs. They never caught the arrhythmia. Fast forward 3 months from my cardiologist making...
  23. Hello, all my meds/vitamins say gluten-free on them except 2, and I looked them both up. Docs did an endo and colonoscopy, I assume they would have seen diverticulitis? I eat whole foods and certified gluten-free only. Except for a few things, salad dressing that contains no gluten, I had some gluten-free Trader Joes bread mix recently and I had some...
