  1. Open Original Shared Link I have gotten the above bars. They are ok. Open Original Shared Link I have never tried these bars, but I like the pouches of dried chick peas. Have you tried a natural food store?
  2. Plain chicken breast with that banana. Try it for a week.
  3. I was an anxious mess during my gluten challenge. Not sure if it was the wacky symptoms that cropped up or anxiety in itself. I use passionflower. Our gut hosts the same neurotransmitters our brain does. GABA is involved in anxiety and is also in your gut.
  4. EAT PROTEIN! My globulin dipped a bit and my protein was at the lowest end of normal during my gluten challenge. Nothing shocking lab wise, but boy did I feel it. I literally had times when I felt I would pass out and ended up in the ER. I was also afraid to drive with my son. I also realized this was connected to hunger even though I felt I should not be...
  5. Yeah, the DGP was the only thing mild positive for me, and the gene was positive as well. My biopsy was negative after being gluten-free for almost a year, but I was back on it for 6 weeks. My sibling has confirmed biopsy celiac and had NO positive blood work. He made a good point to me when I was going through the gluten challenge: You really do not...
  6. My primary care suggested to go gluten-free despite a negative biopsy. I did have 2 tests, DGP IGA, that came up weak positive, plus the DQ2 gene and a family history. My GI had forgotten to do the bloodwork after a 6 week challenge so I planned to resume eating gluten for the suggested 12 weeks until the primary suggested I stop. I actually have not...
  7. This breaks my heart for you. I know how awful it is to have symptoms and no answers. I find I need to take breaks to alleviate my anxiety for a bit because it can produce more unrelated symptoms. Please do nice things for yourself. A bath with a glass of wine, book or candle. Save up some cash and spend it on yourself. Go feed some ducks with a friend...
  8. Ah, nope. They took that one from me in 1997. Thanks!
  9. So, after being gluten-free for 8 months, and fairly gluten light before, I did a 6 week challenge with a negative biopsy. I had a slightly elevated DGP in 2015, the gene, and a family history. After the challenge, I went gluten-free for a month In January. I then began eating it again in early February because my GI forgot to do bloodwork and you need to...
  10. I should give the benefit of the doubt. I will try the company!
  11. I got a groupon for urthbox and selected gluten free. Now, I love this thing. It comes to my office monthly and is such a treat. But then I discovered one snack last month, Ricky's Lucky Nuts w/ coffee, stated it was manufactured on SHARED equipment with wheat. Not in the same facility, but shared equipment. No where on the package did if say gluten-free...
  12. I know this must be frustrating for you.follow up with your doctor and get a stress test and go see a cardiologist. Both my brother and I thought we had heart issues and we do not. it was just a lot of odd chest pain with gluten. However you might. my ex had an abnormal EKG and has a fairly common heart problem. Make sure you are comfortable with your doctor...
  13. Just a fyi, my brother was confirmed Celiac by biopsy and his blood work was always normal. I have The gene and only slightly elevated blood work on one test. my recent biopsy in January was negative after a six-week gluten challenge after being gluten-free for 8 months. so I resumed eating gluten and have been getting crazy s*** happening the last 6 weeks...
  14. A researcher I spoke with via email me informed me that Deamidated Gliadin IGA is not a specific test to celiac, especially if it is borderline positive. The University of Chicago site also says to disregard a weak DGP IGA when follow up testing on a gluten free diet because it is unreliable. I know the old gliadin tests are not specific but thought...
  15. Awful. I am having all sorts of weird issues too with only weak positive bloodwork twice, the gene, and a sibling with confirmed celiac. My biopsy was negative. I gave up gluten for 8 months then went back on for 6 weeks for the biopsy. You should be eating it 12 weeks before bloodwork. So for lack of better words i have been f@*&ing around with it on...
  16. Omg yes, my doc knows because it scared the heck out of me. Upcoming stress test as a result of the chest pain. The dizziness and numbness she kind of dismisses to sinuses and sleeping position. But I am not so sure...
  17. Thank you for your reply. Yes, I had also began to notice numbness and pressure in my head, dizziness and my hands falling asleep at night (regardless of sleeping position). Keep me posted on your results!
  18. Hello, so my biopsy was negative after a month long gluten challenge following a year gluten free. I do have the gene as well as 2 weak positive tests which turned negative after 5 weeks going gluten free post biopsy. i was gluten-free for nearly a year prior. My question is, does anyone else get horrible chest/esophagus pain? It even goes into my teeth...
  19. Thank you, they did take 8 biopsies of the same area, duodendum . I do have a copy. Not sure who dx my brother but he had high Marsh scores. Anemic as a kid, etc. Very reactive if he gets cross contaminated. His blood work was always negative though which was puzzling. He has a gene and so does his son. At this point, I do not even care about the biopsy...
  20. Hello, I have the DQ2 gene, sibling with biopsy confirmed celiac and most likely a father with it. All my lab work was normal except a slightly elevated DGP IGA twice now. During the 2nd lab draw I was gluten free for 4 weeks after a 6 week challenge and gluten free 8 months prior. I was pretty gluten light for a few years beforehand. My biopsy in January...
  21. I get this and it drastically got worse during the end of my gluten eating prior to biopsy. I had gone gluten free for 7 months and then did a 6 week regular diet. I had one test (DGP IGA) that was weak positive, the DQ2 gene, and a negative biopsy recently. When the pain started creeping from my chest to my throat I really freaked out. I called my brother...
  22. Sorry about your diagnosis. That is awful, especially since you sound very active. I did get symptoms on and off at first. My first encounter with gluten during the challenge made me feel drugged within seconds. That drugged feeling would happen a lot earlier on, but it seemed to go away. Or I just got used to it. There were days when everything in my system...
  23. Newbie here. I have the DQ2 gene, a sibling with confirmed celiac, and a nephew with the gene and a wheat allergy. I went gluten free for 7 months then did 7 weeks of a challenge before my recent biopsy. I will not get into my symptoms. However, my sibling never had any abnormal bloodwork but the doc could see damage during the endoscopy and the biopsy confirmed...
