  1. They said not to worry about it. If it was TB it would be a bigger mark.....put my mind at ease
  2. Mango You heard the story right. The boy did cling to a tree to survive. Since I live in coal country it interested me. Your book sounds very interesting. I will have to look into it.
  3. That is great your daughter made honors. I really liked your suggestions. I would suggest talking to the other two celiac's parents and just see how things worked out for them. Good luck!
  4. I eat the ones in the same facility, but I steer clear of the ones that say made on shared lines. If I get a reaction or even feel a little out of it after eating something from the same facility then I steer clear of that product as well. It comes down to personal choice and what you feel comfortable doing.
  5. I was in the Chocolate Ave Grill in Hershey on Friday for lunch with some friends from work. I have posted before about good service I had there before. Friday they went over and beyond. I asked about the fries. The waitress came back and told me, there was no wheat on the fries but they are fried in the same fryer as their breaded shrimp. I was so happy...
  6. Mango- could you let me know along the lines what the book is about. I read all sorts of things. Right now it is about Centralia PA, the mine town with the fire underneath.
  7. K-too's are very good and so are Kinninnick's animal cookies. They practically melt in your mouth.
  8. I have to agree with Colleen on this one....
  9. Sorry no malt barley. There is a very good rice crispy recipe floating around here somewhere.
  10. I have not tried Ruby Tuesday's yet, my parents love the place but for some reason I just do not feel comfortable going there. I am hoping someone on here can share something though. In the future it would help me to decide whether or not to venture there.
  11. I am pretty good with needles overall. Last year, I was an egg donor for a couple who turned to fertility. I had to take 2 injections a day in my stomach. The only thing that was not as fun is when you hit a vain and it gets black and blue. I showed my nurse the area on my arm, which is still red and raised. I have to wait until 9 to go to employee health...
  12. Thanks guys, I am googling too! That should be a millenium verb... To google.....verb to search on website. I am getting it checked as soon as I get to work tomorrow. I have never had this happen so that is why I am a little iffy. It seemed fine all day too. Well bedtime. I'll post in the morning. Amanda
  13. Well...I got that TB test today...and I have never had a problem. Tonight the area is a big raised red area...and I am scared....I have always gotten the shot (we get it every year) and you can never even tell where it was given.
  14. I can't wait till I have my own home and I can remodel....my kitchen walls are a sad dreary cream color and the appliances although still very functional, I would choose better See you all later tonight. Work is over and it is time to venture out in the rain.
  15. I will have to borrow my dad's copy.
  16. Liz- I just wanted to say what a great idea Good Luck!
  17. I know Nikki---I feel like I am betraying you guys I will try harder to post this afternoon. Yep raining in the Northeast today. Going to get heavyier as the day goes on....and into tonight. Tomorrow they say very cold and windy...fun fun! Now I am off to Employee Health to get a TB shot, the hospital mandates them yearly, so anyone want to go...
  18. I am so dissapointed in myself, I have not checked this thread all morning...I have been piled with work. The nerve of people, don't they see it is a Rainy Cold Monday, 1st day of a 5-day work week....what are they thinking???
  19. Morning All! Welcome to another silly day in Sillyville.....sad when you have to think how to spell that!
  20. I don't want to say this and be taken the wrong way.....CC should be a major issue whether you think you are sensitive or not. If you have been glutened twice in the past few days, I am not sure I would risk the chinese tonight. If it was me anyway. Chinese food is very tricky for celiacs, because of the soy sauce containing wheat...and it is not easy to...
  21. Carla so excited about the new kitchen, I bet you are so glad that is all finished too
  22. Wow, how odd is that? I think you are destined to have that house Are you staying in your general area? The housing in our area is not the greatest, we took have been looking for some time and neither of us are thrilled with what has been out there. Well, there was this nifty house a few months back, it had an open stairwell which was in this open...
  23. I love breakfast casseroles
