Thanks Everyone! Angie-You are wonderful. I am glad you are so close. You are a great friend. Right now she is resting, and my parents have left her. She is in a small hospital up in NEPA. She was in a room with an elderly person who was not doing too well, but they moved her into her own room, I am hoping so not to tramatize her. She has never... -

ARCHIVED Calling For A Prayer For My Sister!
blueeyedmanda posted a topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Today when I got home from work, I got a call from my mom, my sister who is 20, had been up all night with bad "D" and ended up with a Dr's appointment this morning. At the Dr her blood pressure bottomed out and she passed out. She was rushed to the hospital and she is dehydrated. I was just informed she has a Gastro Infection and has other tests pending... -
ARCHIVED Calling All Gas Stove Users...question
blueeyedmanda replied to blueeyedmanda's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
I had never heard of the brand until I moved in here, My fridge is the same brand. I have to give the stove the benefit of the doubt, it has been real good up until now. Our apartment was built in 91' I want to say they are the original appliances. The good thing is when things break we will get a new one. So I am keeping my fingers crossed. Because I put... -

My period sometimes comes earlier and it is much lighter, I can get away with using a "light" tampon for the last 3 days of my period. My periods still last 5 days like they always did, but by the 5th day...there is not much left. I did notice after becoming gluten free I am more emotional before my period, not b%$@#y...but will cry easily (esp at movies...

ARCHIVED Calling All Gas Stove Users...question
blueeyedmanda posted a topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Hi Everyone, I am hoping someone here can relate. When we moved into our new place about a year ago and it came with a gas stove. It works well, it is older, about 15-20 years. I don't even think they make the brand anymore, Caloric. Every now and again, we get an orange flame while cooking. Last night, I noticed everything was fine until John turned on... -
ARCHIVED Mcdonald's French Fries
blueeyedmanda replied to ShortStuff2309's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I am not sure if ours has a dedicated fryer or not, they do cook the chicken fingers, and sometimes I found crumbs in with my hubbies fries. So thats enough of a reason for me to stay away. Plus...I was never fond of the fries, they were either dried up or too salty. There were very few times when the fries were very good. -
ARCHIVED Moving.... Frustrations.
blueeyedmanda replied to Adelle's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
My neighbors that moved out in Nov. They used to fight with each other all the time, throwing glasses/vases at each other. It was horrible. He would play computer games in surround sound and it was loud. They used to complain about parking (rule is one car in front one in the overflow which is along the house) but they would hog up two spots. Everytime we... -

If you can get your hands on a bag of the Gluten Free Pantry truffle brownie mix...you will have everyone drooling. Those brownies are even better than wheat-filled ones. I have managed to fool everyone I have ever shared them with. No one believed they were gluten-free. Everytime I brought them to work, the plate was empty quickly. -

ARCHIVED Gluten Free Pantry Muffin Mix
blueeyedmanda posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Yesterday I bought GFP Muffin/Scone mix. By the time I got around to making it last night, I did not have the milk to make it but saw you can use substitutions for a lactose free recipe. It said in place of butter you could use oil and instead of milk fruit juice. I am not lactose free so I used the butter. I used fruit punch for the milk. It didn't specify...
