  1. Lauren-the place you went in Baltimore, is that where the big celiac clinic is? I read alot of great things about that place.
  2. I see a doc at Hershey Med, not a GI...my family doc here told me right off the bat she thought I had celiac. I ended seeing her when I became fed up with the 1st doc I saw. Anyway, I described to her how I was getting sick, when, and how quickly and she told me all about celiac. I did leave the Med Center to see a GI, and only because I am an employee here...
  3. Let just wish you a safe trip first!! Now I can tell you how jealous I am that you are going to the beach , I am trying to locate a decent priced beachhouse in Wildwood NJ at the moment....anyway I would also pack some fruit and veggies that you can snack on. Glutino and Enjoy Life both make decent tasting snack, I actually keep the Enjoy Life ones in...
  4. I eat Healthy Choice, chicken and rice, the one in the little green microwavable containter. Tastes great!!!! Very quick for lunch at work too.
  5. I usually buy the Wegmans salad dressing. It is marked gluten-free right on the bottle. I have never had any problems. I also use the Wishbone Italian and Kraft Ranch both without any problems.
  6. My best friend, wow, I am lucky she stuck by my side. For 3 years I was always sick and in agony. We grew up together and we went to college in seperate directions both leaving home. We were within 2 hours of each other. Well, I stayed in the area I went to college in and she went to Temple and left Philly and moved to my area. it was right after she moved...
  7. I am the one who posted the original messgae about them being gluten free. I still have not had any reactions and I ate some with milk for breakfast this morning. I really like this cereal, reminds me of Captain Crunch. Gabrielle, If you don't mind the drive, I am in Harrisburg and I have been to the dillsburg store. They sell the Perky O's which are...
  8. Moongirl-I have you beat I eat a bag a day if not more...I am stocking up this weekend since Easter is over. This is one thing I would cry about if it was not gluten free :)
  9. I do the Wegmans dressings all the time. I use the Ranch...yummy!
  10. I am a Wegmans gal. I buy alot of their brand so it is not as expensive. I have always loved that store even before celiac came knocking at my door, now I have even more reasons to go there
  11. don't feel bad, I bought the same box a couple weeks back and ate it once or twice and felt a little odd afterwards, thinking it was my mind. Well I reread the labels and saw Wheat Starch towards the bottom....hmm I feel like an idiot because I completly missed it the first time I read the label....oh well. I will keep munching on my neoPets cereal and those...
  12. As I am reading this post, my other hand is digging through a container of Frosted Perky O's sitting on my desk. I bought them for the first time on Saturday at the new store in Dillsburg. I cannot believe how good they tasted. I miss frosted cereals so these make me happy. I do not know how they taste with milk, I do dry cereal as a snack alot. PS...
  13. I am not sure if this will help you or not depending on your location...but Wegmans posts Gluten Free on all their store brand foods. It is a big help when shopping for stuff. I never enjoyed store brand food before but their's actually tastes very good. I was impressed.
  14. My fiance and two friends won free tickets to 6 Flags for opening weekend. This will be my trip to the park gluten-free has anyone been there before and can offer any advice. I see they have a kosher dining place listed but it says deli. Thanks guys!
  15. I was just in Scranton last weekend to visit family, but I will be checking that store out in a few weeks when i go back again. If you get to go there let us know what it's like. I am very impressed with the Dillsburg store. funny, I read that on WNEP this morning after I go to work, but the website was not loading so i could not post about it. Thanks Claire
  16. I also didn't mind Annie's. I did have to season with pepper, salt, and hotdogs but Deboles...right down the drain. That stuff was nasty!
  17. I purchased a box of Trix not containing Wheat last weekend at my grocery store. I was excited just to have sweet cereal.
  18. Hi, Can you give me directions on how to get there from Harrisburg? I would love to take a ride there tomorrow, Thanks for the info. :) I love the Grainless Baker products.
  19. Cadbury Mini Eggs, are made by Hershey and sold under the Cadbury egg. Caramellos.....heaven....8 and I am thinking about going downstairs to the main cafeteria to find a carmello bar.
  20. Skinny-Oh my gosh, I thought I was the only person who bought them in bulk. It is August and I whip out a bag. I think the mini eggs got popular again, for a few years I had a hard time finding them. I know Wal-mart in my area doesn't sell them. I can get them most everywhere else so I am happy. I glad to see someone else shares my love for mini eggs!!!!
  21. Cadbury Mini eggs, the ones with the candy shells... Those are my weakness, literally. I have a container on my desk and I eat them all day...my coworker helps me but man I am so glad these are safe.
  22. Hey Everyone, I came across a new cereal, it is a little kiddish, but for those of us with semi-sweet teeth, it may satisfy us for a bit. It is called Neopets Island Crunch cereal. I found it next to the Kix and it looks safe. I had to re-read the ingredients a few times seems good. Tastes good, too, not too sugary but it has taste! Let me know if you...
  23. I never had any problems with their products. I have eaten both the Sour Cream and Onion and the BBQ and had no problems. This is one company I trust, for me they are a local company.
  24. I am originally from the area you are talking about. I never stayed at the Sterling Inn, however I am a big Grainless Baker fan. I eat their sandwich bread on a daily basis, love their cookies...ok I eat too many cookies. My finace eats their cookies like there will be none the next day and he isn't Celiac. Their products are just so good. :) I had almost...
  25. Laura- I sat on the other side of your mom. Funny how that worked out. I turned and asked her how long she has been gluten-free and she told me she was there for you. I give her alot of credit, that's nice she was there to help you. I didn't get to talk much more to her, she had to leave to go to work. She was very nice though.
