  1. Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone has ever had a salad from Panera since going Gluten-free? The office Christmas party is Monday and we are ordering out. I have checked the ingredients on the Panera website and there are a few salads which look ok. Just wondering anyones experiences.
  2. I have to agree coffee could be the culprit causing the "D". Tea is more gentle on the stomach. There is also a new coffee by Folgers or Maxwell House...you have to forgive me I don't drink coffee at all but, it is designed for sensitive stomachs. I don't even know whats all in it. Just giving a suggestion in case you want to keep the morning cup of joe
  3. I got confused with the username too....don't feel left out I have my self as constantly logged in at home, so a few weeks ago I finally figured out to use my email addy, this morning it took a good 5 tries before I saw it said username...I blame it on the rain
  4. I know, I was getting worried. When I tried this page at home last night all I got was a bunch of jarrgled symbols and some words I couldn't understand This morning it kept saying it was down too....Now I finally can come back on!!! Talk about excitement!
  5. It was a good thought that you sent the thank you note. I would have probably been surprised if someone I least expected gave me a gift but it was a nice gesture. Maybe it was her way of saying they cared.
  6. Thanks Everyone, I would talk to the Doctor but this is supposed to be a "surprise" She just called down and blabbed it to one of the girls in my office. We actually do not have a kitchen where I work. So I couldn't really bring anything that involves too much cooking. I would confront this woman but....and please don't anyone get offended by what...
  7. My hair stopped falling out I slept better My eyesight improved Not as many bathroom issues. Energy slowly returned. I felt better...all around
  8. I would go with the above posters, show her some information in writing. Seeing things on paper really do open your eyes. It is true, since we live with it we do tend to pick up on it more. Explain that to her, I would also let her know how much you care about her daughter and you just want to make sure something doesn't get overlooked.
  9. Wow- I had a Celiac meal come with the print at the bottom that said, use this instead due to CC or wheat. Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the store. I find price wise, I do better going there.
  10. No, she knows I have allergies, she is forever offering me cookies when I come upstairs. One day her and I had a conversation about it. How they came to find I had this..etc. When the conversation was over she bluntly said...I would kill myself if I was you. Just when I thought I was getting somewhere. Thanks for the suggestions. I knew I can count on...
  11. So at work next week they are having a pizza party, one of our doctors is throwing it. So his assistant called down to see which pizzas our office of 10 would want. Once I found out, I asked politely if they could order a salad for me. This is a place where you can get real good salads. So the girl next to me asked this woman to order me a salad. The woman...
  12. He is adorable, I really like the name Shiloe, he is too cute!
  13. I have been to Hunt Valley and it is very nice You'll like it. I work at a hospital currently and although I love my job, I would probably leave it in a heart beat to work at Wegmans, I hear they are very good to their employees and the turn over rate is very low in their company. I know I always have a positive trip to their stores.
  14. I notice when I get glutened I get very moody and down in the dumps. I am usually a happy-go-lucky person but if I get glutened I can go from happy to mopey and then I get emotional, crying and such. I feel as if I have no friends and everyone is mad at me. It is a horrible feeling. Since it only ever happened when I got glutened I would not go on any sort...
  15. I usually shop at the Scranton store which is an older store but does have the kitchen section. The holiday section was amazing, so much to choose from. They always make their store so presentable. Their newer stores are amazing. We sometimes shop at the Hunt Valley, MD store. It is so much bigger than the Scranton store. You can eat upstairs and overlook...
  16. JerseyAngel- I was there too yesterday, the store had a lot of Holiday products to offer for all tastes. I always see new products in the gluten-free section too. They now carry the Glutino frozen mac and cheese, and penne with mushroom sauce meals. These come in good when you want a quick meal. The produce section in that store is amazing.
  17. The Wegmans brand puts Gluten-Free on their product so look for the G in the orange circle on the front of the product. Wheat free may not mean is is gluten-free. They are very good at labeling their product. The prices are decent. Tinkyada pasta is on sale a lot for 2.50 a bag which is far less than I pay in health food stores around here. This is my favorite...
  18. I had a Dodge Neon....stay far away!!! We had to service it all the time. Currently, I have a Hyundai Sante Fe, I have to say the warranty is very good. I don't have any complaints.
  19. I am so sorry to hear you got sick at Outback. I only ever order Alice Springs chicken, I never do salads or desserts, I usually have to take some home. I never got sick before but, I know a good friend who lives in the same area as I do and she got sick at Outback when she was out of state. Just stress to them Gluten Free when ordering. Good Luck next...
  20. I buy the small Dinty Moore beef stew, and it is tasty. I even like the Ham and Scalloped potatoes.
  21. There are some companies who do a lot to support Celiac Research and Awareness but still did have shared facilities. This is not a problem to me as long as they are very good with their sterilization and do not allow CC issues to arise. Some companies do great at this while others have problems. I understand you wanted a lot more people to be in agreement...
  22. To save money in that way is one of the saddest but true statements.
  23. Man I work next-door to Campbelltown too. Wow! Thanks for the info.
  24. I am on board with Karen, I do the same thing she does, contains wheat is a no go but being processed in a facility containing wheat. I will give it a try. I eat a lot of Enjoy Life products and they are made without the Allergens and some are quite tasty. It can be done. But like previously stated they want to sell a product that will be bought be a bigger...
  25. I understand completely, I work in a hospital and vendors bring all sorts of gluteny-goodies. Yesterday one of my nurses came back with this box of really expensive cookies and everyone raved over them. I understand they are enjoying it, but can't they do it in a little quieter sense. I also do not have a problem sticking to the diet but certain things...
