  1. Hi and Welcome, I am glad to hear your baby is doing so much better. It sounds like he has come a long way in just a few short months. Congratulations!!!!!
  2. gluten-free pancakes with fruit on top!!
  3. This is the first I heard of the Drew Brees thing, very cool!
  4. I am glad to see someone else is wondering the same thing as I was. My fiance has been told he needs a low-card diet to help with some weight issues and I could use a little work too. It would be great if I could do some of the South Beach. He has been looking at Southbeach and really likes what he sees.
  5. I notice if I get glutened I get acne, and it is huge and painful...I never really had acne as a child either. I do get break outs before my period but if I get glutened in between...I get them on my chin and in my cheek area and sometimes around my chin/sides.
  6. It's great to hear you finally got some answers....yes I agree colonoscopy was real fun, but I am not sure what is worse the test or the prep beforehand....I threw-up the phos-soda, ugh! I actually do not remember the procedure which is nice. The gas pain afterwards was not fun
  7. I used to have a lot of dizziness before finding out about my celiac, now the only time that really happens is if I get glutened bad. I had an episode of dizziness about 3-4 weeks ago while I was at work...not sure if it was gluten related or if it was actually an illness. It made my whole day horrible but I didn't think i could drive home....so I had to...
  8. Now that is very cool! I bet you can really help a lot of people out with the info.
  9. Happy Birthday!!!!!!!
  10. There was one winter when I was young we missed so much school we went right up to the end of June. We once did not go all week due to ongoing snow. I was in 6th grade. I want to say it was the winter of 94' But I am jealous you are getting snow, it will get winter cold here and then 50 the next day...too strange
  11. that thread must have been before my time, or I just didn't notice it.
  12. Linds- I know how you feel, I live in PA and we usually have seen snow by now even if it had melted. I saw people wearing shorts the last few weekends. It is not our typical winter weather...I could use a blizzard. I miss the snow we got when I was little. Plus I am a skier and the man-made snow is not cutting it over the past years and most ski resorts...
  13. I actually live in Central Pa and have never been but I might take a look into it.
  14. I use the corn wraps for sandwiches and I also buy lots of naturally gluten free foods, fruits veggies. I make my own soups using Gluten Free broth. I stock up on Tinkyada pasta when it goes on sale at Wegmans. I also buy pasta sauce and the broths at Wegmans so when they go on sale I buy more. Believe me, we are on a budget, so I try to get as much for...
  15. I want to know the staff is well-educated and could help me make good choices off the menu without making me feel like a pain in the butt. Also CC is a big thing they could work on. We get a lot of surprise glutenings from things that could be prevented. If we felt more comfortable in how places handled food and such maybe we would venture out more.
  16. I always had painful periods and then I noticed they got less painful once gluten free. They were always very normal 5 days, 2 heavy and then tapering....Until Sept, I went on fertility shots and now my periods come every 5 weeks and the first day is heavy but the taper begins and my period lasts about 4 days, by the fifth I could use a light tampon. I...
  17. That is horrible you were verbally abused!
  18. I try to get on more frequently but with work these days I just seem to be able to surf and not always post. I need a vacation!!
  19. She was discussed in this post a few days. Hope this helps. Open Original Shared Link
  20. I didn't exactly know today was a holiday, I did...but it doesn't feel like it. I work in a hospital we don't close for holidays so sometimes I forget the smaller ones.
  21. Yep, MSG does not have gluten but it has some awful side effects, this does vary person to person but its personal opinion to stay away from it. I don't stay away from it but most of what I eat doesn't include it.
  22. At first I didn't think I had to worry about the shampoos and conditioners until I found myself having a very irritated itchy scalp. I did some research and switched to non-wheat containing shampoo and the problem seemed to resolve. Everyone does react differently so it is up to personal opinion. As for toliet paper and paper towels I never had a problem...
  23. Very informative links, isn't is amazing what a little bit of crap can do. No pun intended.
  24. "D" is my big one, brain fog, mouth sores, skin break-outs on my face, itchy skin, fatigue....and very depressed moody and very foul outlook on everything in general. The sad part of this is the last set of symptoms....I am a very happy person and when I get glutened some of the things I say or think are so bad.
