  1. wow, if those legs weren't so tan and skinny, I would've had to say that was me at the dorms in college! I get mad at people who hover....They get pee everywhere! All over the seat, the floor....everywhere! Way grosser than just other people's butt meat on the seat...I mean really...the dirty part is in the open hole!
  2. I don't know if this is useful, but here is the process for making sake, they mention the sake cake: Open Original Shared Link
  3. Well, I think you could replace just about anything in these with just about anything. I had to sub a lot and it turned out fine. For example, the original recipe called for oats, and I subbed quinoa flakes, even though they aren't as dense as oats. Still worked perfectly. I don't see why rice flakes or even rice bran wouldn't work And yes, I think...
  4. I'm pretty sensitive and have had no problems with cheetos, or any lay's product that was supposed to be gluten-free for that matter.
  5. Hellifiknow.... ....as I scratch my back with a fork. I'm breaking out into hives EVERYWHERE!!!! Can't wait to get home to take some GD benadryl!!!!
  6. Good luck! I know she's allergic to a lot. The powdered milk is just there for extra protein, and the flax would probably make up for the eggs if you added some oil. I also saw reviews at food network where people added a banana to it and it worked.
  7. I'm breaking out into hives also all the time, but I don't know why in my case. My allergist said that for foods, the skin prick tests aren't all that accurate, and that blood tests were better. He also said the best way to figure out a food allergy is by an elimination diet. I guess different doctors have different opinions (duh), but if he reacts badly...
  8. Also, since I clearly have too much time on my hands, I did a nutrition analysis on it: Per bar (1/20 of recipe) Calories 155 Total Fat 6g Saturated Fat 1g Cholesterol 21mg Sodium 21mg Total Carb 23g Fiber 3g Sugars 11g Protein 5g Vitamin A 4% Vitamin C 1% Calcium 6% Iron 10% You can do this for your own recipes at...
  9. I modified the heck out of this food network recipe to make it both gluten-free and weight watchers friendly. They are YUMMY!!! I'm so glad I don't have the whole pan in front of me, or I would be eating all of them and blowing my diet I wish I had the fiber breakdown, but it's got to be high. They're really moist, a little chewy, and kind of taste like...
  10. Woot!
  11. 1. FIRST NAME? Chelsea 2. WERE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE? A Jane Fonda character 3. WHEN DID YOU LAST CRY? Recently, I'm sure. I cry at the opening of an envelope 4. DO YOU LIKE YOUR HANDWRITING? 12. They might be able to see some characteristic scalloping folds in your intestine with the small bowel x-ray. At any rate, it couldn't hurt, because they can see lots of things in x-rays, and as long as they already have your arse hanging out of a hospital gown, eh, why not?
  13. Snickers bars are gluten-free
  14. Glad you're feeling better, Suzie!
  15. That is by and large a good list, with some misnomers: - Ice cream without any gluten containing ingredients (such as cake or cookies) is usually gluten-free. Of course, always read the label and check, but ice cream is one of the easiest prepared things to find gluten-free. - Metamucil (except for the wafers) is gluten-free, it's made from psyllium...
  16. A Greek one?!?!? SWEET!!!! Now I'll have to order them...thanks for the heads up!
  17. It's a tran-species cat.
  18. Tonight I'm having a chicken and broccoli stir-fry made with San-J Wheat-Free tamari served with brown rice. I'm doing WW, so it's only 8 points
  19. Or here: Open Original Shared Link
  20. Chebe mixes make a fantastic gluten-free pizza
  21. My doc said ~4 slices of bread (or equivalent) a day for 3 months for a chance of damage showing. He got his info from Dr. Green at Columbia.
  22. Last I checked, all Coke products are gluten-free. Diet coke definitely is
  23. I should hear by Friday
  24. Congrats! We need more energetic people like you! In other news: Gluten makes me bloat! I lost 3 lbs in my first day gluten-free. Hopefully the other 27 lbs. come off just as easily!!! How is everyone today?
  25. Personally, I would do it (and I did!). Your doctor sounds remarkably like mine. There's more than celiac to stomach distress, gluten isn't the only culprit of symptoms. It helped me, for my peace of mind, to know that I don't have ulcers, stomach cancer, chron's, etc. As far as glutening the hell out of yourself until Friday, I don't see much of a point...
