    Dinner at Macaroni grill, with pasta and an ENTIRE LOAF of french bread. I wish I would have gone to KFC, gotten a loaf of french bread on the way home, and a tube of pillsbury cookie dough.

    All bourbon is whiskey, but all whiskey is not bourbon. They are all aged in Oak barrels, but bourbon is aged in barrells that have been charred first. Bourbon must also be made from a certain percentage of corn in the mash. Over 50% I think. Most of it comes from Kentucky. Whiskey, I believe, is made more from rye than corn.     I don't drink bourbon, but I've cooked with Jim Beam with excellent results. I've heard good things about Evan Williams and Wild Turkey, as well.

    The only thing they used for me was Versed, which is a amnesic drug. You're awake for it, but you don't remember it. They also used a topical anesthetic of some kind that I had to swallow. It was fine for me, and I didn't even have an IV. Make sure you have someone to drive you home either way, though.

    I feel pretty safe, although when it comes to getting my hair done, I think my vanity outweighs my safety. Last time I got my hair colored, I seemed to be ok. I go to an Aveda salon.

    I did though! I had a bad case (triggered celiac). My glands swelled on my neck to enormous size, I was very very pale, I had dark circles under my eyes, and my mouth gaped open because I couldn't breathe, swallow, or move. Apparently I smelled like a dead bullfrog also, because whatever toxins my tonsils were getting rid of smelled really bad. I didn't know...

    I'm sorry your family is having such a hard time. I've had several anorexic/bulemic friends and it's rough to even be around. I can relate to looking in the mirror and seeing fat.     If you're still in the early stages of mono, sometimes the blood test doesn't show it. Even then, not everyone will show on the blood test. What you described is what I felt like with mono. I looked like a dead bullfrog. I felt like one too. I hope you get to the bottom of it! Feel better!

    I know I'm glutened within 15 minutes. I completely zone out and my face feels like I have too much powder on. Stomach feels crappy for several days.

    I don't trust myself with doing my own color. I only go to Aveda salons, and I know most of their stuff has wheat, but I haven't gotten sick. I'm just careful for a few days.
