I'm about to go to lunch with my boss. The restaurant we're going to is small and one I generally trust. As for salad dressings, they make their own viniagrette. To me the class of dressing sounds generally safe. Oil, vinegar, spices. Should be alright, right? I hate to generalize, and of course I will ask, but I want more than a wedge of lemon...

I consider it a good day when I don't have the urge to take a nap under my desk. It sucks that I miss a day of work about every month when I have stomach pain so bad I can't work. I'm not contaminating the bathroom every day now, so that's a plus.

Take a cheat sheet with legal and illegal ingredients, edited with those you know for a fact are safe or unsafe. I had a list that said inulin had gluten, it doesn't, it's from chickory root. Your brain eventually becomes programmed to see unsafe ingredients. Just takes time. -

If you react badly to vaccines, then it's not irresponsible to not take them. For the general population, they are by and large a good thing. They have saved far more lives than they have harmed. I agree that you should read the entire insert, and just like any other medication or treatment, and make an informed descison. I'm not going to tell everyone... -

I've been glutened by more things that say "gluten-free" on them than by mainstream products! I buy a lot of Kraft, Unilever, and General Mills products because they will always clearly label gluten in the ingredient statement. -

I explain Celiac Disease to all of my family, but if I'm just out with friends or work people, I say I'm allergic to wheat. Not to offend, but "gluten intolerant" or "gluten sensitive" sounds kind of wishy-washy and may not be taken as seriously. ANY major surgery, illness, pregnancy, or trauma can trigger autoimmune diseases. If your celiac is under control, I don't see why it would be a problem, and you'd have roughly the same risks as everyone else. You are opening yourself up to the possibility to triggering more autoimmune diseases, but you do that every day when you get into a car hoping... -
