  1. I hope you can find out before your trip. I love beef jerky but haven't had any in over a year. Keep us updated.
  2. Many thanks to all of you. I have a strong faith but today I am a little anxious for his surgery tomorrow. Thanks for all you do. You guys are GREAT.
  3. When I was diagnosed about a little over a year ago, I did two things. When on a gluten free diet and joined this awesome support group. I don't know how I would have made it without you guys. I just got home from a four day hospital stay. I had two units of blood and an IV iron infusion. After a variety of tests they have found 3 masses in my small...
  4. Thanks, will do.
  5. I tried to post a new topic and it came up with an error. I wonder what I did wrong.
  6. Second the Johnsonville
  7. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM sounds wonderful
  8. That is unbelievable that they would do that. How dare they ask for a doctor's note. I am so sorry you got that response from a company. I have only been told a couple of times at a place that they couldn't accomodate my needs with a particular item but they did do a substitution. I hope you have better luck in the future. It is frustrating when someone...
  9. Update: Bruce is doing fine. He has a feeding tube in his nose to help supplement bottle feedings. He lost several ouces but is now back up to 4 pounds 8 ounces. He is just so wonderful. Mom is doing well, she got out Saturday but is staying at a Ronald McDonald house until he gets out. My brother will stay with her this week and her step-daughter the...
  10. We sell them in our store. They have not been a good sale item but they do taste good. They have a very cinnamony taste but I like them once in a while for a change. They last quite awhile if you take them out of the package and put them in snack size baggies.
  11. Wow. I have done this as long as I can remember. My dad used to say "Jenny stop it," all the time. I tend to do it when I am very nrevous or watching TV. I don't know if there is a connection but you are not alone.
  12. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. I am still floating. Mom and baby are doing well. I had to come home so I haven't seen him in over 24 hours but mom said he is eating on his own and she got to feed and hold him last night. My brother is one proud papa. She is doing well and may get out Saturday. Bruce will be there at least two more weeks.
  13. I went to www.generalmills.com and clicked on Old El Paso medium enchilada sauce and it showed a side label which stated as an ingredient -- wheat gluten-- and on the allergy part it listed wheat and soy. I hope this helps some.
  14. I posted a few weeks ago about my SIL going to make me an aunt soon, well it happened alot sooner than expected. Mom and baby doing ok. He weighed 4 pounds and 9 ounces. He was born 71/2 weeks early. I am so excited. Please remember little "Bruce" in your prayers.
  15. I understand that it is NOT gluten free. I used to use it all the time and quit. I use a package now I think it is by McCormick and I think it is really good.
  16. I am so sorry for your loss. Your family is in my prayers. I love the second poem.
  17. Please, if you believe in prayer my sister-in-law is 32 weeks pregnant and was just rushed by ambulance to a medical center with toxemia. My brother said that they were doing all kinds of tests and starting her on steroids for the baby's lungs in case she delivers early. Please pray for them. I am leaving to make the trip here in a few hours. Thank you...
  18. It's a real pain (pun not intended) to be so careful about what we eat then to be done in by carelessness of others. AAARRRGGGG Hope you feel better soon.
  19. My brother whose wife is going to make me an aunt was also my foster brother that my parents adopted when I was 19 and he was 4. When my youngest daughter was 4 and he was 11 he was chasing her around the church and one of the ladies said "You sure can tell that those two are related they look and act so much alike." I told her thank you and that it meant...
  20. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
  21. Congrats. The baby is beautiful. I am going to be an aunt in 7 weeks and a great aunt in 22 weeks. I am soooooooo excited as I know you are.
  22. Thank you so much for the help. It gives me a few weeks to plan. I knew I could count on you guys.
  23. My 23 year old son is going to the hospital at the end of May to have brain surgery. He is going to be there at least a week. I am going to stay with him at the hospital and feel selfish asking this about myself but what can I take with me to eat that week that will not need refrigeration and won't spoil? I want to give him all my attention and don't...
  24. I will put yours and her family in my prayers. I am so sorry for your loss.
  25. I too bruise very easily. I still have two very black bruises from where I had my IV iron infusion in November. Thanks for the info on what to check for.
