  1. Regular Milky Ways contain wheat--so, as you suggested, of course, the minis also contain gluten (Milky Way Midnight is gluten-free). The Poppables are a dangerous area, so I just avoid them. You have to be...more careful with the minis. There was a major problem a few months ago with those variety packages of mini candies...malt was used in the glue for...
  2. Absolutely. Maltodextrin is gluten-free in the United States unless it states otherwise (i.e. says "WHEAT maltodextrin." The one exception to this rule is medication where you need to check out its source, but don't you nearly always have to call for medicine, anyway? Distilled vinegar is a big debate, but at least theoretically, it's gluten-free....
  3. I haven't had a chance to listen yet...will do asap
  4. Yes...all gluten-free except poppables...I had 2 bars today

  6. I loooooove the Glutino bagels. And until a few months ago, I thought I was alone--then someone asked about the best bagel @ the delphi board and most others agreed...try it--it's not the same--a little lighter (I live in NY, as well), but it's the best thing I've found so far. What's funny is that at first I didn't like it, since I tried it right after...
  7. Yes, Open Original Shared Link is great. I find Kinnikinnick to be really dense...but everyone has a different opinion
  8. How is it not still the gold standard? The EMA isn't going to replace it anytime soon, and the tTG, though good, is not yet at a point where it can fully replace the biopsy.
  9. Try the pre-made gluten-free bread at your nearest Whole Foods. Mona's makes good mixes, as well. I've given up on those breads such as Kinnikinnik, Ener-G, ahh...none of them ever tasted very good.

Yes--nothing needs to be said. Sometimes you need to go through that testing stage to remember why this takes such a high priority in your life. I haven't needed to, but everyone is different. Feel better
  11. Hey, thanks, Richard. My seventh grade teacher, whom I have kept in touch with sent me an e-mail this morning about a NPR story on Celiac...I wasn't sure if it was the "Gut Reaction" one that was on a few months ago (replaying it?) or not, but it turns out it was new! I'll have to reply again and thank him for keeping his eyes (well, ears) open...
  12. Sure... looks great
  13. Sure... First, get rid of the stuff you have at the end in brackets...make it so it just has the writing you're going to want. Highlight the writing that you'll want in a certain color, then go to color and pick one. Do the same thing for size, font, etc. OR: go to the beginning and choose your color, size, etc. Then hit close all tags when all the...

  15. LOL...yes, the thing about taking one long piece of toilet paper and breaking it up sounds familiar
  16. This has already been sufficiently answered, but NOOOOOO!!!
  17. I know!!! Glad you enjoyed it!
  18. 17-1 final score...and Baltimore won, as well-- it would ideal to have Boston or Baltimore take the division and the other take the wild card--can you imagine? Boston wins one year, Yankees don't even make the playoffs the next.
  19. Karen, don't feel old ...I'm younger than glix and I didn't know what it was, either
  20. Yes...you can't deduct the full cost of gluten-free cereal as you could the full cost of necessary supplements, but you could deduct the difference between the gluten-free and non-gluten-free cereal.
  21. Yes--they're on the GFRAP list ( Open Original Shared Link ) ...but I've never been there... I also live in NYC
  22. Absolutely--go SOX!!!! It's 9-1 right now...haha... And hockey is back!! We will have an '05-'06 season!
  23. Have you tried Mona's? Excellent and pretty easy. I don't have any troubleshooting tips, sorry.
  24. Haha...so random
  25. Welcome! I'm glad we've been able to help you. Chebe is awesome--the best gluten-free pizza I've tried--takes a few times to get it perfectly, but I've tried maybe 10 crusts and this is the best. Get the bread mix and use it to make the pizza crust--I think it's works better than the pizza crust itself.
