  1. I agree with Ursula. There are so many good gluten free goodies out there, your little guy won't know the difference. I just made brownies with a mix and they were just as good as gluteny ones. He will grow up with this diet and won't know to miss anything....it will be "normal" for him. Normal is a term I'm not sure fits. Anyone's diet, no matter what...
  2. Wow, those numbers seem high for just a 19 month old. Sounds like you already now about the scores. Celiac and gluten sensitivity seem to be pretty much the same thing-gluten free for life irregardless. I'm not really sure of the difference either. I believe Dr. Fine tests for more genes than most people. Maybe his studies will redefine what are...
  3. You need to post more so I can see that cute dog more places. Basically you are gluten and casein sensitive (or intolerant as I say). Gluten free and casein free for life. You are just over the line for casein which may make it tempting to not do it but I'm sure you'd feel better. You have the dq1 subtype 6 which I think can lead to neurological...
  4. I'm not sure how much yeast to add. If you usually need 2 tsp soda I would try 2 tsp yeast and see what happens. Can't be any worse than what it's doing now. I had asked someone that question once who works with creating recipes and I forget what she said now.
  5. Ooooooppppppsssss. I don't eat peanuts since I'm intolerant to soy and they are of the same family. I didn't know about that though.....interesting.
  6. Could you try yeast? They won't turn out the same but it should give the life to help them cook.
  7. She FORGOT!! How could she forget!!!!! Sounds like it won't be a problem in the future though. Vincent, Is there anything we could try and help you with?
  8. I have also read fibro is associated with other things.....like celiac. Please do post your enterolab results when you get them Toni. I would like to know what they say.
  9. Congratulations Beverly!!!!!
  10. Sounds like you had a day from a not very pleasant place. I sure hope your new manager takes the very obvious hint not to wear the perfume to work again, at least not when you are there. I hope you aren't cut too badly and that you were able to get your department in order again, or ordered. Hang tight with the tests. I know it is hard to wait...
  11. I'm 5'5". My mom is 5'6". Pretty much in line. My kids are young, my daughter is almost 7 and she's about 4' right now. It's expected that she'll take after her fathers side of the family. He has one sister that is 5'10 or 11. His other two sisters are around 5'6" I think.
  12. Patti, Yes, it is a good thing you went.....no telling how bad it would have gotten. You'll probably feel much better in a couple days, once the medicine has time to start its work.
  13. Evie, That's great, it sounds like you will be able to get off the sleepy medicine. Your mini family reunion sounded like fun, albeit tiring for you. Carla, Glad you are enjoying your sauna. Everyone else....we are enjoying a very nice indian summer day.....about 80.
  14. You guys are brightening up my day......I needed that.
  15. I think it has a lot to do with immunizations. We didn't have this many when we were kids. I believe that my son's 2 month shots springboarded his reaction to gluten and soy. He probably still would have reacted down the line, since my other two and myself have celiac/gluten intolerance.
  16. As far as I know rice cakes are gluten free but there are problems with cross contamination. Some brands are better than others. Welcome.......others who eat rice cakes will pipe up about what brands are better.
  17. I agree with Patti, Donna. Everyone's problems can tend to themselves, but we are a support and socialization network and everyone is important. Well Patti, you must not be feeling too poorly despite the eye if you can laugh at it.
  18. Patti, That's too bad about your eye. I hope you can get your infection under control quickly. I know what you mean about trying to wait it out. Beverly, I haven't said, but I thought.....you're picture is beautiful. It's nice to see you more clearly. Hi Julie!!!
  19. I'm sorry Donna. That's got to be a hard thing to go through, teeth, diet and work. I've been down too lately. Must be going around.
  20. Patti, Thanks for posting that.
  21. That is great Patti! Sounds good. We like pizza too.....haven't had any for about 2 months.
  22. Nikki, Yes, it's been a better day today. We went down to a carousel that is about 30 minutes south of us. Day delayed birthday fun for Micah. Mitch is still sore but needs to head to work tomorrow. We wish he could take more time off but he doesn't get sick pay. My Dad was/is in the hospital again. He went in Wednesday night. He thought...
  23. Beverly, Wow! There is a lot going on for you. I guess I have my answer from the R2 thread. Good luck with your test tomorrow. I'm so glad you are out of that apartment. Sounds absolutely awful. Be sure to keep us posted on how your doing AND when you get those pups.
  24. Hey Beverly, What happened? You changed your user name a long time ago. What's with the new member number and only 8 posts?
  25. Beth, Welcome and ask away!
