  1. I would also say cut out the dairy if he has that......and check into other reasons if dairy free doesn't help at all. Definately bring it up with his doctor, even before his normal checkup if it doesn't get better being dairy (and soy) free.
  2. Welcome Ciglee! I don't have anything new to add....just wanted to say 'hi'.
  3. I am allergic to some of the things you are. dairy, gluten, soy, kidney beans, pineapple. I would cut out all bean products if you can. I am allergic to navy beans as well but have had a problem with red beans. So far the only beans I've tried again that I can tolerate are garbanzos. Dairy and soy are in a lot of things as well as corn. I assume...
  4. I need to make bread too......want to make some for me? Brownies sound pretty good too. I hope you feel better soon.....and yes Rachelville would be wonderful wouldn't it. Snow, SNOW!!!!! Where do you live.....or did I forget. We hardly ever see snow over in good ol southwest Washington. Did manage to get stuck in Portland during an ice storm...
  5. How about getting rid of the rest of the casein for six months and see if you feel better. Goat's milk.....I absolutely don't like it. Allergic too.
  6. I just wanted to say welcome! I second what everyone else has said so far. I am a former vegan. Left the diet due to my intolerances so I can't really answer your question on vegetarianism. There have been numerous discussions though. I do have a thread I started in the recipe section. Gluten, dairy, egg and mostly soy free stuff, mainly "cheese...
  7. Rachel, I'm being extremely positive. Miamia, Please keep us posted on how tomorrow goes.
  8. I don't text either. Doesn't that require a cell phone?

  10. And I thought carmel was your last name.
  11. Ryan, Have as good a time as possible at your mom's. I know how you feel. My mom doesn't take this seriously and we've been glutened over at her house. Make sure to take lots of safe snacks for yourself.
  12. Rinne, That is so great that you found a good doctor who is willing to listen and run all the tests. Yes, it's a bummer that you have to pay out of pocket and travel.....but I think it is worth it. We are having allergy testing done tonight for T, M & M. Don't know if they'd want to test S or not. We are choosing him since he likes to figure...
  13. That's great Carrie! Thanks for sharing. It will continue to give people hope....especially when they are going through a rough time.
  14. That's neat.
  15. Carrie, Rachelville is our utopian village town that some of us have created to get away from the burdens of the real world.....no cc, perfect health, etc. Those who want to have jobs that are based on their hobbies/interests/real job skills. If you would like a job please let us know. Welcome back. Hope you had a fun filled summer. Morgan...
  16. I got to say I'm glad you kept this board up too Scott. I knew I was IgG Allergic to wheat, gluten and gliadin, but would have remained gluten light until I stated developing more symptoms and my infant son's eczema would not have cleared up completely. I've learned everything I know about celiac and gluten intolerance on this board and your parent site...
  17. Yep. Always on the bottom. I don't think it's so bad if I rinse the rice first. I think I used broth once and it was worse so I just add some broth for flavor and to make the rice a little moister afterwards. I typically make a lot and have leftovers. Broth works good when warming it up in the oven.
  18. Jestgar, I grew up in South Puget Sound. I'm now down by Vancouver. Are you aroung the Seattle area?
  19. Yah, she doesn't look like a granmother does she? A little older than me....of course I'm an older mother. Now if I look like that when I have a grandbaby, then, wow. I'll be old and wrinkled by that time. Oh wait, I forgot about my stepsons.....maybe I won't be so old an wrinkled. The one that's married isn't in a hurry to start a family though...
  20. Welcome Spunky! Thank you for sharing your story. Hope to see you around some other threads as you get comfortable posting and sharing your knowledge.
