  1. I was told by my pediatrician when my daughter was younger to give fever reducer if the fever was over 102, but they didn't recommend it before that. The body needs to have a chance to fight the infection and can't if the fever is brought down too much too soon.
  2. I'm sorry. Maybe by throwing it up she won't have any lingering effects.
  3. I was going to say pedialyte also. Keep us posted on how he's doing please.
  4. That's what I figured.
  5. Let's look at it another way. How much will you learn while you are waiting? I tend to think you'll learn a lot.
  6. Maybe she needs to evaluate whether she has any of these possibilities.
  7. As Martha Stewart would say....."That's a good thing". That was on our wedding party videotape. Our hostess used that phrase constantly. I would think that it would be harder to overload your system if you couldn't eat to the point of overload. Seth can reach the keyboard now even when I push it back so IF you guys ever get chopped off...
  8. Someone else uses the onion analogy too......maybe it was Rinne.
  9. DH's rash.....gluten/soy/dairy.
  10. Cecile, Were those the people in the accident back in June? I'm so sorry, that must be so hard for him. Glad you got to see T & J and that you will get your computer back soon. Red onion.....I can see how that would divert your attention.
  11. Cecile, You always say a day late a dollar short.....how 'bout 8 days late 8 dollars short. Full moon was last week you two........you sillies.
  12. My oldest son will be four next week and hasn't even potty trained. He will go occasionally. I think he's being lazy but I'm not sure and don't want to push him if there is a problem. He's been gluten free for 3 months and did have mild malabsorption so I don't know if that would cause him any problems or not.
  13. Hhhhmmmmmmmmm.......29 and counting right?
  14. I would be suspect of any bioengineered less gluten wheat product, or hypoallergenic. What celiacs would they test out this wheat on to see if it does any damage, etc.
  15. Cecile, You're not late. It's still the 15th even on your side of the country.
  16. It will be good to see you on more again Donna. Work is something I don't really miss. Can anyone tell me why I still have dreams about work and always having to get back to the children, and working too long? Don't really expect an answer. I'm glad to be out of my job. My boss was not very supportive during my pregnancy. I didn't figure out until...
  17. They are totally different than the yeast you bake with. I'm not sure where you live but Fred Meyer/Krogers carries them in the natural food bulk isle. Wild Oats has them in the bulk isle. Co-op have them in the bulk section. Health food stores would probably be the same. I haven't looked for them pre bagged so if you find them that way let me know...
  18. Mercury/Toxic Metal Sensitivity Questionnaire This questionnaire should serve as a warning/alert to persons scoring "yes" in five or more of the questions below. 1. Have you had sore gums (gingivitis) often over the years? Yes No 2. Have you had mental symptoms such as confusion, forgetfulness? Yes No 3. Has severe depression...
  19. Here's a few more recipes. Recipes from Newstart Lifestyle Cookbook by Weimar Institute Carob Fudge 4 cups date or malt sweetened, non dairy carob chips (obviously swap these out for chocolate) Don't think they make carob chips without barley malt. 1 cup almond or peanut butter 1 cup chopped nuts 1 cup raisins Place carob chips and almond...
  20. As far as I know the bagged salads aren't a problem, just the bagged spinach.
  21. Skinnyminny, I don't know, I don't know what the symptoms are. I just threw out our bagged organic spinach. I had eaten a little of one bag a couple days ago. I figured organic would probably be safe but we didn't want to take any chances. I also threw out the stuff that was in the bin with the spinach and washed the bin with hot sudsy...
  22. Thank you everyone! It's great to be a part of such a warm, caring, loving board. I just saw this thread......don't spend a lot of time perusing the board early in the day. Seth thinks he's ready for 4th grade math....I bought ahead on some books on ebay for my school curriculum and he's into them. OK, got Seth outta here and Talitha is...
  23. I don't think this person meant to be rude, he/she sounds very irritate though. He/she is probably looking to build up feedback but needs to be a liitle more tactful about how he/she is coming across. I still don't get feedback from everyone and I ask them to leave feedback after they get the item or to contact me via email if they are not satisfied to...
  24. I don't have anything to offer as far as info etc. I'll keep your family in my prayers.
