  2. You are the mom. If your kid feels better when she eats a certain way, why do you care what the doc says about it? He's not the one inflicting pain on his child.
  3. Well, those poor guinea pigs in the lab managed to choke down my chocolate cake. They were even considerate enough of my feelings to pour extra chocolate sauce on their fruit. good folk them.
  4. Cook the brown rice with chicken stock. Saute some eggs, veggies, the shrimp with some soy sauce or sumpin'. Serve on the rice.

  8. I also don't care what people bring. I'm fine with bringing my own food and I don't need to eat that junk that shows up at group events anyway.
  9. I've never traveled for the food and have had no problems being gluten-free anywhere in Europe. Skip the restaurants and get meat and cheese or whatever from the market. You'll have more money to spend on the really fun stuff, and you'll be better friends with the rest of your travel mates if you haven't spent every minute together.
  10. well, he's willing to do anything to make me happy, he just doesn't understand what's wrong. And actually, it's not as if anything is wrong, it was just so fabulous in the beginning that I think we should try to maintain that. I'll have to work on how to convey this. Maybe a demonstration.
  11. About three days after stopping grain I could sleep through the night. If you aren't sensitive to something in the grain then nothing will change.
  12. ok. chickens are in bed. that's my destination too. talked to BE on the phone, told him I was less than thrilled with our recent 'evenings'. He said "I don't know what you're talking about. I have a great time!".....uh....yea.....that's 'cause events pretty much go straight to your gameplan.....how 'bout we go back to you thinking you had to convince...

  15. <_< I'da thought it would take longer. No point in going to his house dressed in a corset or sumpin' cause half the time he calls me on the way there to ask me to stop at the store. Must think of some fun way to return to the previous level of entertainment.

  18. I am also O+ 50% of my veggies consist of nightshades. I avoid most grains (and starches from other sources) I eat tons of dairy. I have no problems with any fruit. I also happily eat avocados and oranges.

  21. I think it would just flatten out and turn into near liquid. Try it on some parchment paper or something.
  22. You could try it with the BC gluten-free cake mix. You might have to buy two boxes - I think the gluten-free boxes are smaller - but that should be the only substitution. I think the pudding mixes are gluten-free.
  23. Did you ever have a dexa scan to look at bone loss from malabsorption? I remember that you've had terrible problems finding good medical services.
  24. At the grocery store I was behind a woman with a handful of coupons. It took forever to determine that she got two of these and 5 of those and this was the flavor mentioned in the coupon and so on. At the end the clerk announced that she had saved $44 on her $210 purchase. It looked to be about 6 bags of groceries and I wondered just how much more food...
