CeliAct Team's Free E-book: Beyond Your Gluten Free Diet

CeliAct Team's Free E-book: Beyond Your Gluten Free Diet -

There is a great, not to mention free e-book called, “Beyond Your Gluten Free Diet."  I find the information in this book to be very helpful for anyone who has just been diagnosed as well as to those that have been diagnosed for many years.  This book sums it up perfectly when it says, “a gluten free diet should be only the beginning of your treatment.”   I couldn't agree more! This books gives advice as to how to remain social, the best nutritional choices, how to supplement your gluten-free diet and much more.  It's definitely worth checking out...after all, it is free!

I really enjoyed your article. Having celiac for 20 years has prepared me for most menus. With so many grocery stores now carrying a lot of gluten free items, it is so much easier today than it was 20 years ago. Whole Foods is one of my favorite.

After many years of unexplained medical issues, I was finally diagnosed with celiac disease in 2002.  The first couple of years were a rough road traveled, but I am feeling better than I ever have.  It is important that I share what I have learned over the years with others and to do my part to help raise awareness of celiac disease.

Celiac.com 07/30/2007 - I love pizza, and being gluten-free put a pretty serious crimp in my ability to enjoy a fresh, custom-made pizza.
Also, I've never been particularly fond of frozen pizzas of any kind, but I don't exactly have time to make my own crusts from scratch.
Even when I could eat pizza from my favorite local pizzeria, I loved to make my own pizza from fresh pizza crust, and to add my own toppings and pull it piping hot and bubbling fresh from my own oven. Since I went on a gluten-free diet, I've pretty much given up on ever again really enjoying pizza piled high with my favorite things like pepperoni and mushrooms.
But Dad's has come to my rescue and returned pizza to it's proper place of honor I my life. Dad's make a gluten-free pizza crust that fits...

SOYJOY Baked Whole Soy and Cranberry Bar
Celiac.com 10/10/2012 - With so many gluten-free snack bars coming onto the market nowadays, it can be hard to find one that stands out, and really deserves a spot in your snack food reserves. SOYJOY makes great baked whole soy-based gluten-free bars, and their new cranberry flavor is one of their best yet.
When trying to describe the new cranberry SOYJOY, my first instinct is to compare it to a Nutri-Grain bar, just lighter and with whole dried fruit instead of a jelly filling (and no gluten, of course). I'm not usually a huge cranberry fan, but in this context, the cranberries add a very satisfying tanginess that keeps the bar from being overwhelmingly sweet. The bar also has a pleasant texture: it's both light (not overly heavy or chewy like some snack bars) and slightly moist...

Rum Cake Lounge's Vanilla Bean Gourmet Gluten-Free Rum Cake
This delicious cake gets its moistness from by having just the right amount of sweet butter, cream and milk mixed with pure vanilla beans and extract. The rum flavoring is noticeable, but not overpowering. The cakes are just the right size and make the perfect end to any meal.
