I sat at the table with others eating desert.  I had already warned them that I could only eat at home, Doctors orders.  I was set at the end of the table in an effort to avoid the snack.  I took one last slurp of the water to notice my mug now had something in it.  Oh, no.  Next time, perhaps I will skip the water.

OOps just noticed I misspelled dessert.  Oh, well, it seems kind of appropriate!

lol

Yeah, that really, really sucks. Reasons like that are one of the reasons why I'm avoiding eating at my parents, for now at least. Like when my mom passed the bread basket, an actual woven basket with lots of holes, overtop the main gluten-free dish. Its kinda a relief for me though, she's a nagging person and last time I spoke with her she seemed to finally accept that I still wasn't feeling great or not going over for dinner due to known health issues (instead of just me being lazy my usual lazy personality *rolls eyes*) only because I told her my last scope still showed lots of damage.

I'm also really sorry to hear that.  Hope you are feeling ok.

I thought I would tell you a story which might hopefully make you laugh.  I went out for lunch to a pub with my sister and a couple of friends last Summer, and I cooked all my own food to take in my lovely plastic box and lid.  So while the others all tucked into their gorgeous looking roast lunches, yorkshire puddings and gravy, I had some boring cold thing which was purely functional!

So then we sat at the outside table at the pub for a little while after lunch and I tried not to watch as they followed up with sticky tofffee puddings and apple pies and cream. I don't think I'd had time to think about bringing dessert as well.  But then, at least I knew I wouldn't be glutened and could relax.

Then there was a whip of wind and before I knew it, a plastic bag flew across to our table from the road outside and wrapped itself around my mouth before I had a chance to do anything.  Imagine my joy when I realised it was full of breadcrumbs!

Sometimes if you didn't laugh you'd really cry :-)

Ha, Oh, yeah.  Now I guess we better keep our mouths closed, stay inside and shudder!  Having lived a few days, I think that was absurd and not likely to reoccur!    It reminds me of the time I tried to convince my friend that birds droppings wouldn't land on me...

I am okay.  I needed to laugh, though.  Thanks.

So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

I've noticed with my age and menopause my smell for bread gives me severe migraines and I know this. Its alarming that there are all these fabulous bakeries, sandwich places pizza places popping up in confined areas.Just the other day I suffered a migraine after I got done with my mri when a guy with a brown paper bag walk in front of me and I smelled that fresh dough bread with tuna, I got a migraine when we got home.I hate im that sensitive. Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.
