I'm slowly starting to feel better, but I'm still lacking energy! I know that taking B12/Folic Acid will help... should I take a full B-complex or just those two?

And if anyone has gluten-free brand recommendations, especially for some of the liquid vitamins, that would be great. Thanks!

Jamison vitamins will indicate if they are gluten free right on the label.

gummy vites (gummy vitamin bears made by l'il critters) are gluten-free- says it right on the label! and they taste just like candy...they come in multi v and vit c/echinacea LOVE THEM! :)

Nature Made labels their products as gluten free if they are. They have a wide variety of vitamins and are easy to find.

You should definitely try an entire B-complex for energy and immune boost.

I personally think that Klaire Labs has the best vitamins/supplements, www.klairelabs.com They can be purchased at Family Pharmacy of Sarasota online at Open Original Shared Link

Here are some others:

Freeda Vitamins www.freedavitamins.com

Douglas Labs www.douglaslabs.com

Country Life www.countrylife.com

Natrol (has liquid vitamins) www.natrol.com

I use Centrum, vit. B6 and calcium lactate. I also take a digestive enzyme at each meal.

Hi,

I take a B complex liquid vitamin made by GNC. They also put right on the label if their products are gluten free or not. I recently started using it and I noticed right away an increase in my energy.

someone correct me if I am wrong..but I thought that best method of taking B12 is sublingual. My husband uses Trivita brand (mail order) and they say their product is gluten-free.

jerseyangel Proficient

It was my understanding that sublingual was the best way to absorb vit. B12. I have been thinking about trying Trivita and called the 800 # and the person I got on the phone couldn't tell me if it was gluten-free or not. She said she"didn't see any wheat ingred. on her list of ingred." but couldn't guarantee it. Did the label state that it is gluten-free or did you have better luck than I did with a rep.? Thanks.

No, Life Extension contains Benfotiamine and Thiamine Hydrochloride. Objective Nutrients Thiamax contains TTFD.     I take both of these and a B Complex.
    • xxnonamexx
what Benfotiamine should I take as Life Extension contains both Ben and TTFD.
    • knitty kitty
I take both Benfotiamine and TTFD.   You might want to start with the Benfotiamine for a few days and then add in the TTFD.   You can look for NeuroMag (Magnesium Threonate).  A magnesium glycinate is fine, too.  Doctor's Best is a good brand.  Don't take more than 300mg total per day of magnesium or it may have a laxative effect.   Be sure to take the B Complex.  The Benfotiamine and TTFD will need the other B vitamins.

Life Extension Benfotiamine with Thiamine has 100MG of Ben and 25 of Thia..... Do you think this is the one I should take or Objective Nutrients Thiamax (TTFD) which has 100MG Thiamine. How much magnesium should I look for? I take the womens 50+ multivitamin since consumerlabs stated and tested that it has the right amount of vitamins and not too much for men and doesn't have BHT which has shown to cause liver cancer in animals. I was never big with multivitamins as well as doctors I just read when I was first going gluten free to take a multi but I think I will stop them and work on trying the super B Thia and Ben, Mag.

Hi all I’ve been celiac for 4 years now, I’ve done pretty well to avoid it thus far. Last night I took the wrong pizza out of the freezer and ate the whole lot!! The non gluten and gluten pizza boxes are both very similar.   2 hours later I was throwing up violently on my hands and knees over the loo.  .horrendous stomach pains,  My hair was wet from sweat every part of my body was wet. What an awful experience, just had a bad headache today  fortunately.    Is their any products/pills anyone takes if they have realised they have just been glutened to make the symptoms a little less worse.  thanks
