Problem With The Board

I have a little problem with the board that is annoying me. I use the "view new posts" option all the time, but if I've done a search online, say to figure out if something is gluten-free and I click on a link to the board, when I go back later to actually read all the new posts, it's only from the time that I had looked at that link. Not the actual last time that I was actively on the board. For example, I haven't been on here for about 5 days, but yesterday I was trying to find out if a certain candy was gluten-free and one link brought me to an old post on this board. Today when I came to look at new posts they were only since yesterday. Does anybody have an idea to prevent this from happening?

When I do that and go back to viewing posts, I click on show active topics for today and then I can see all them, including the ones I have missed. It works well too, when you go to view new posts and there's 4 pages and you only have 5 minutes.

Hope this helps!

Hello- all I know is that I accidentally posted my post under " new topic ", and I really wanted advice from people regarding this post, and since it was under "new topic" no body could see the post from the "coping with" topic board, without finding it (by clicking on the new topic board).

Ugh!!!!!!!!!

I'm having trouble with this board, still trying to learn how to post things correctly and so forth, for example, right now I'm not so sure that everything is okay with this website because it is still "loading me in" now for the last 20 minutes!

I'm frustrated!

Eventually I'll get it, I guess....

Yes, I know what you mean. I think there are basically two options:

1) As Kristina said, log out when you leave. That way if you come to this site, you are logged in as a guest and your new posts list isn't disturbed.

2) Go to "today's active topics" (a link on the main page of the forum). Then specify the time range: you can't say specifically, say, four days, but you can say 1 day, or 7 days, 30 days, etc.

The reason you could not see the post in the "Coping With" forum was probably because it hadn't been pinned yet. A moderator has to pin the topic first and then it will show up in the forum. Its not always pinned immediately after you post it. You can always view the topics in "Todays active topics". Its a link toward the bottom of the main page.

Where's the link for today's active posts? I can't find it.

Thanks,

Matilda

Scroll down to where it shows the members who are on the forum. Then look right above that where it says board statistics. It's there-- or in other words, go to the place where it has links to today's top 10 posters and overall top 10 posters and look to the left of those.

Is it just me or did something change?

I love change -- but the way the boards have been changed in the last week it's not so easy to read the postings. Is it just me? Or does anyone else feel this way?

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
