It is hard to say what caused it. With my allergy to tomatoes, it took a lot to track down. My symptoms were not normal either (felt like I had a bad sunburn on my head, neck, and shoulders). It would look normal and have no redness. My first sign was my ears, they would start up and the rest would soon follow. Once i stopped eating them, I no longer had issues with it.

It should also be noted that i miss those more than i do gluten. <_<

However, if you do suspect an allergy, be careful.

Ok I am going to quit freaking out!! Thats all I can say!! Sometimes my face swells alot some times it doesn't. So I take my Allergy pill and I think it helps. Thru the day my face goes down. I have a Doc appt soon. I will quit freaking out and just go to him let him know, Then he can send me to someone and they can figure it out. I have absolutely no clue. And from what everyone is saying here it can be a number of things, I wall "Suggest" these things to my Dr. So Thanks everyone :) I will let ya know in the end what or if they find out.

Are you taking any meds -- even over the counter? I am allergic to ibuprofen

( e.g. Advil) and aspirin. Both cause my eyes to swell shut, face and tongue to swell.

It seems to me that from all the things you ate on the first day you started your diet, the only thing no one has mentioned is the beans you ate... I know many people don't tolerate them ... I am one of them.. I think quinoa is also a legume.

Quinoa is a type of goosefoot. Surprisingly, it is also related to spinach, beetroots and tumbleweeds.

If you are going in for allergy testing waitin4dave, they will probably need you to stop the antihistamines a few days prior.  The tests may not work if you are on anti-histamines.

TY I will keep that in mind before I go in.

Your response on this matter is what I expect. You’ve had a similar episode years ago, but this one is lasting longer!

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?
