Newbie Feeling Desperate. How Long Before I See Improvement?

When I told my regular doctor about my thoughts of there being a correlation between my joint pains and an outbreak of blisters, I'm pretty sure she thought I was crazy...but in my mind there was no question.

I've tried several of the beers, and haven't cared for them.  They tend to be sweet to my taste buds...not something I care for in a beer.  I'll keep trying them as I find new ones in hopes of finally finding one I like.  I'm finding as I look at reviews of various gluten free things there tend to be two broad categories of testers (tasters?)...new people to gluten free and the "old timers", with the new folks not liking things so much and the "old timers" liking them.  Makes sense...we newbies still want the exact old taste of the bread, beer, whatever we used to love, and the more experienced folks (I assume) are maybe more comparing to other gluten free things of the same venue???  Example, I've seen several breads get rave reviews, and to me they taste like cardboard and only palatable if toasted.  I'm finding that for now at least, I'm tending towards complete elimination of some of the old favorites (like bread)(I used to make my own) rather than settle for something I don't care for much.

Yep, I hear you. We pretty much just quit the whole idea of bread. I have one I make in the nuker for my breakfast but the hubs won't touch it & I certainly wouldn't call it a burger bun but I like it for breakfast. I quit on the idea of biscuits period. I made my own even when I was in Jr. High --- nothing gluten-free is EVER going to taste like biscuits to me. Not even close.

I'll tell you one thing we both agree on is Namaste' Spice Cake mix. It tastes like SPICE CAKE for real!!!!! The texture is dense though, more like a carrot cake type of thing but really it's quite nice. So I got all hot on the Namaste' products b/c of the spice cake. Bust! Didn't like a single thing else they made.

Oddly, I'm not missing those things like bread & biscuits & pastries really. The only thing I miss about bread is the convenience of it. Coming in from an appt. late & needing to eat quick as in make a sammich? Not happening these days.

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
