Hair...just Another Improvement :)

I remember always wanting to have long hair, but it would get right to my shoulders and always look really stringy since it's thin and fine, so I kept it shorter.  I lost hair each day, but I didn't think it was too much of it and knew that losing a little bit each day was completely normal.  Fast forward to now and my almost 10 months gluten-free, and not only is my hair below my shoulders, it finally looks healthy and only a few strands come out each day.

I keep seeing things change that I thought were normal, and really it was my body's way of telling me, "Hey!  Something is not right here."

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

So happy for you! My hair has thickened up too. So nice to be healing!

Great!  My daughters always wanted longer hair!  Maybe it will happen one day.  Mine got real short just before I went gluten free.  I never lost handfuls, but it sure was thin.

Me too! My hairdresser is really impressed by how much thicker and longer it's getting. Lovely, isn't it? (Although I've just gluten myself tonight for the first time :( hope it doesn't all fall out!)

yesssss!!  my hair is the longest it's been in a very long time - also, thicker  :)  it was always coming out and breaking off on the ends.  lolz, i didn't even use conditioner today (because i bought shampoo by accident, so now i have 3 shampoos, no conditioner durrr...  ) and it's still feels pretty good.  yay!

Jealous. I have super fine hair, and while it doesn't come out in clumps, it definitely doesn't like to stay in my head. It's longer than it's been in ages, cause I let it grow (and now have to deal with more tangles), but thin (and thinning hair) is just part of my genetic inheritance.
I think if it was a gluten problem for me, I'd have twice as much hair by now (if only!)

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
