Another Amy's Reaction

Just talked to my mom...she ate an Amy's gluten free pizza w/rice crust yesterday, and was horribly and violently sick all night. I'm wondering if Amy's can be trusted to be gluten free.

That's weird........I had Amy's gluten-free mac and cheese and i got really sick too......i went to a play and had to run out, it was so embarassing! I couldn't understand what the problem was because i'm very careful especially when i have somewhere to go.......i guess maybe you're right!

Awwwww man...I just finished eating an Amy's rice bowl just this second. :o I've already felt like crap for more than a week and dont want to get glutened again. :(

I'm going to start praying....

I'm soooo freaked out right now I'm probably going to GIVE myself a gluten attack just from worrying!

well, hopefully berneses will keep us updated, but soon the mac and cheese and pizza will be moved to a gluten-free facility! don't worry rachel!! i have eaten quite a bit of amy's with no issues... hope you're okay :)

I've noticed that people who have had reactions have only had it with the mac and cheese and the rice pizza. Is that right? I ate a dairy free gluten free rice bowl so I feel ok with that. I havent had any symptoms and its almost been 24 hours.

Hi guys!

I just want to add to this Amy's dilema. I think I might be getting glutened from the soup! I bought tons of the dairy/gluten free soup and it seems like on the days that I eat it, or the day after, my symptoms come back stronger.

But then again, maybe my input isn't too valid right now because I'm starting to wonder if I have other intolerances besides gluten........but I'm going to stay off the Amy's for a while, just to make sure.

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
