Just learned that some of the toothbrushes are made from wheat straw... They usually have a different color but i cant be sure :( Are the ones sold by brands like colgate only made from plastic derivatives? I know it may sound stupid but i get paranoid...  (And the toothbrush brand  i've been using since i started gluten-free diet is not sold everywhere )

None of the name brad ones do to my knowledge, sounds like a daft idea in the first place. I mean wheat straw? That is going to get moldy and rot from getting wet, just a bad idea. Now there is a type of resin made from a processed form of wheat, but they normally do so in a way you would not have to worry about the proteins. NOW there is a additive in MOST toothpaste that many of us react to, it is a non gluten ingredient but can act as a irrient and even cause neurological symptoms in some think it was called sodium lauryl sulfate.

PS Colgate is pretty much gluten-free with everything they produce.

That's a new one!   I haven't heard of that.  If that was a big concern, I think we would have some warnings from the Celiac Societies.

As you go a along, you will find that there are people on the internet that like to cause trouble, are gullible and believe everything they read (no matter the source) or make stuff up to sell something.  Try to look for reliable sources.

Sounds like they are made of stalks and starch - so likely gluten-free if you ate some.  But this is not the toothbrushes sold Walmart! $11 for something you are supposed to throw away every month or two!

Crazy! But just to make you feel better, the bristles are made from Bamboo Charcoal. So you more than likely couldn't get glutened using it......

When my wife attempted to open the online card in the store with a cashier, it would not work. We then showed the owner the link to the card, the online receipt that I got upon purchase, and even my bank statement confirming the purchase. That did not satisfy her, since she said she needed the link to open to reveal the gift ID num. They even admitted they had a systems problem around that time.

Was the card itself lost or just the record or both?

We were flabergasted that the owner would not acknowledge a $50 e-gift card I purchased for my celiac wife. My wife tried to open it in the store and was informed there had been a system change and they could not find the record. No worries, she was told, just talk to management. Six months later, and numerous absurd back and forths, and the owner literally informs me there have been "bad actors", so she can't make good on this lost gift card. In other words, she accused me of lying and committing fraud... over $50! Please be careful with your orders and purchases here.

Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen  I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce.   Something is making my pain so much worse  I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs.  Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever would do. I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding
