Undigested food

Pardon if this is the wrong area to post!

I've been without gluten, corn, soy, dairy, eggs etc for about two weeks now.... after months of regularly eating all of those things while knowing (and certainly feeling) how intolerant I am and basically choosing to keep myself very sick and in a depressed fog.... I may have consumed a trace of soy at some point or was contaminated via cookware or a glass or something though I am being careful... I truly don't think I'm being contaminated. Most everything/symptoms are improving.

Except... as soon as 12 hours after I eat, most of whatever had is through me and completely undigested in stool. This has been a regular issue and occurrence for months. The weird thing is I'm not losing any weight and actually struggling to. I'm at a normal BMI but would like to lose a few pounds... the scale number and measurements don't budge... always have a calorie deficit, muscle isn't the culprit etc. Who knows. No idea if I'm malnourished.

Last night I had peas, mushrooms, leeks and potatoes and rice all chewed well. And wine! Peas and mushroom slices unbelievably whole and unaffected in stool....  just like when I would eat corn.

Can't think of what else I've seen undigested in the past.

I do love rice and eat it regularly. Same with vegetables, I'm a vegetarian. Could rice be my culprit? I don't think I could bear giving up more, especially rice!!

Am I just being impatient and this will improve?

Thanks for any comments or thoughts. So much help on this forum!

Sorry this is happening to you. I know how scarey it is. Are you taking any medication? I had that happen once as a reaction from a medication.  What helped me was eating pineapple (it has digestive enzymes) and probiotics. Don't know if that might help. I am assuming you have had a celiac diagnosis. If not you should get tested. That would mean going back on gluten for e a bit though. If you are diagnosed and this continues for more than another day or two you should consult your doctor as it may not be food related.

Sounds like pancreatic enzyme deficiencies, need to talk to a doctor about it....in my case my stomach would not dump and I could not digest meat, animal fats, etc. It would just puke back up 4-6 hours later or pass in the stool undigested. I have to take porcine enzymes with my meals to digest foods. They make a vegan version of digestive enzymes but not as effective. Jarrow makes the enzymes in both versions btw

You might have to start steaming and stewing your foods to mush, I often have to do this when my gut is iffy after a gluten exposure for weeks afterwards. I steam to mush and blend them often and make porridge out of them. You mention you like rice...try congee, look it up a savory congee and you can cook with any seasonings you wish. >.> PS check my recipe blog here for some good vegan recipes,

If your not getting enough nutrients from your food you body is going into horde mode essentially and hanging on to all it has and keeps storing fat when it can, your not going to loose and keep weight off via food intake reduction especially if your not absorbing it right. If your celiac this compounds the issues by your intestines lacking the ability to absorb all the nutrients due to damaged villi.
