Hello,

What does my results mean? Am I allergic to gluten?

tTg-IgG 8.62
tTg-IgA 3.02
Anti Gliadin IgA 93.24

And what’s the normal range for each?

Thank you!

Hi!

Each lab has different ranges.  Your lab should provide you with a lab range for each of those tests.

Without ranges, it can be difficult to interpret, but I would guess the DGP IgA test is positive.  That means you might have celiac disease.  It only takes one positive on the celiac panel to move forward with more testing.    The next step is to keep eating gluten daily and see a Gastroenterologist who can do a endoscopy to obtain biopsies from the small intestine.

Learn more about celiac disease which is not an allergy to gluten (your body attacking gluten) but an autoimmune disorder that is triggered by gluten (your body attacking itself/small intestine when gluten is ingested).

Going on a cruise next week and I’m a celiac. Bought a bottle of GliandinX. Should I just take two tablets per day as a precaution? Never tried this before!! Any help is appreciated!!

Good point, as thyroid conditions are more common in those with celiac disease: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/celiac-disease-amp-related-diseases-and-disorders/thyroid-pancreatic-disorders-and-celiac-disease/
