Lifesavers, JollyRanchers, Sprite, 7UP -- All gluten-free

Lollipops, Chewing Gum -- Can't absolutely say without knowing brand, but almost without exception gluten-free.

Ice cream -- Generally speaking gluten-free except obvious flavors like cookie dough or Oreo.

Potato chips -- I go with Utz but there are others.

As for potato chips, I like Green Mountain Gringo's corn tortilla chips. It says "gluten-free" right on the bag. They have an excellent salsa too.

sprite, 7up okay.... what brand of ice cream are you talking about? i would hate to say w/o knowing exactly. but as mentioned, the ones esp to watch out for are those with extra flavors and additions like cookies etc. ben and jerry's lists gluten ingredients on their labels and if you go to edy's website they list on each flavor whether gluten-free or not.

What about Tic Tacs? The only thing weird to me was magnesium stearate and that wasn't on any of my lists. I let my son have some orange Tic Tacs. The website was useless, and I couldn't find a phone number.

Welcome to the forum, @yellowstone! The most common ones seem to be dairy (casein), oats, eggs, soy and corn. "Formed" meat products (because of the "meat glue" used to hold their shape) is a problem for some. But it can be almost anything on an individual basis as your sensitivity to rice proves, since rice is uncommonly a "cross reactor" for celiacs. Some celiacs seem to not do well with any cereal grains.

What foods can trigger a response in people with gluten sensitivity? I've read that there are foods that, although they don't contain gluten, can cause problems for people with gluten sensitivity because they contain proteins similar to gluten that trigger a response in the body. I've seen that other cereals are included: corn, rice... also chicken, casein. I would like to know what other foods can cause this reaction, and if you have more information on the subject, I would like to know about it. Right now, I react very badly to rice and corn. Thank you.
