I have never found any coffee that you make in a coffee pot or keurig that was not gluten-free.

And Mt Dew is gluten-free.  ?

Plain Coffee is gluten free.  So, no worries.  But be careful with Instant coffees that may not be gluten free.

Make it a date and head over to a big box store.  Cheap coffee makers work just as well as fancy ones.  If you are into being green, avoid a Keurig machine.  It is kind of expensive, but might be worth it keeping coffee fresher if you both do not drink it.  Or look into a pour over or French press system.  Very green.  I use a Melitta pour over coffee system because I like to avoid plastic.  But that is just my personal preference.  It also impresses my daughter’s boyfriend as he is a coffee snob.  ?

I take it that you are trying to give up a sugary soda habit.  Good for you!  I did not start drinking coffee until I was 40.  Now I am addicted.  ?

I use Christopher Bean Flavored Coffees myself...I talked to one of their reps who had celiac in the family and I even was testing a few of theirs out of paranoia years ago and it was all safe.
I have found issues with some flavored coffee, and bulk bin coffee. I messaged several companies years ago and many told me not to drink their coffee...The major brands plain coffee should be fine though but do avoid any instant ones.

As for a coffee makers I would suggest a cheap pour over....unless your like me...in which case you can get a Newco IA-TD But I had to run water lines to it and install filters...But I love having boiling hot water on demand from the tap for tea etc.

Thank you everyone you have been very helpful and I appreciate it going to store tomorrow to find the coffee took screenshots of what you said so I can find the right one?

You will find many to be labeled gluten free...used to see it on the delight ones.
I personally just use Almond, Cashew (rich and creamy) or coconut milk for creamers as dairy can be a issue for some celiacs...I think almond breeze even released a extra thick and rich coffee creamer.

A lot of it says gluten-free on it - international delight, and nestles?  Does he want a flavored creamer?  Maybe just milk or half and half and sugar ?

Daphne do Collaborator

He needs flavor and I'm worried that it's gonna say gluten free but really it's not or it's at 20 ppms gluten and he spills and I accidentally touch it then touch my food and sick again this disease makes me super paranoid

You sound like you need to take a breath!

They don’t add gluten to make it 20ppm.  Coffee and creamer are usually just naturally gluten-free.  I use International Delight and have never had issues.

My hubby uses Coffee Mate.  It states gluten free on  the label. Sometimes I get him the almond-based one.  I prefer half and half.  But I confess, I had International Delight this summer. My cousin loves the chocolate one.  She is gluten free too.  But it is too sweet for more than a once in a while treat if you have diabetes like me.

I get the anxiety of getting glutened.  I can tell you that it improves with time.

I used to buy croissants from Costco for my daughter’s lunch. I put the in zip-lock bags and froze them.  I touched them all the time and carefully washed my hands.  I made sure not to let crumbs get on the counter.  Same with a frozen burrito. I placed in on parchment paper, sealed the paper and microwaved the burrito.  (She is in a dorm now.....)

Just touching gluten is not going to make you sick.  Just take precautions.

When my kid came home from anywhere, she washed her hands.  We all do because of germs (besides gluten).    Just have your boyfriend brush his teeth and wash his hands before he comes into your home.   He is not covered in gluten unless works in a bakery, pizza joint, restaurant or is a wheat, rye or barley farmer.  I think you get my point.

Relax!

I need flavor also, I normally wait for a sell then buy a dozen or so of these. I have given reviews on a good amount of them, some are dead on others lack in strength. Just sweeten and add creamer and they are glorious...and yes they are gluten-free been drinking them for years.

I was not diagnosed with celiac disease, but am gluten-intolerant. I have been gluten free for almost 10 years. In April of this year (2025), I got a steroid shot. I have been able to eat sourdough bread before with no problems. After the steroid shot, I developed gluten-neuropathy, and I could no longer eat sourdough bread, and now the neuropathy returns with small amounts of gluten.  I also get POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) when I eat gluten. My heart beats so fast in the middle of the night I can't sleep. I'm usually up for hours.

This is my current exhausting battle with the medical field. As Ive mentioned in past I was diagnosed in 1994 by colonoscopy and endoscopy and was told i was celiac and to stay away from wheat and Ill be just fine.NOPE not at all in fact im worse thanks to being disregarded and my new word that was given that fits perfectly medically gaslight for over 30 years.I was not informed by anyone about the condition other than its a food allergy. Long story short if it wasn't for this website.I would be so much worse. I have been glutenfree since 1994 and was diagnosed with many other foods in 2007. I have stayed away from those items, except dairy sometimes I'll cheat when I know I'll be home a few days.My work history is horrible thanks to my digestive issues. I had my past primary for 25 years and everything im going through, he danced around celiac disease. My last day of employment was March 08, 2023 I was a bus driver and took pride in that.I get sick easily and when covid hit me and I stopped taking tramadel to push to give my bloated body a break, I haven't " bounced " back.Though not that well before but worse now.I applied for disability because yet again I was fired solely on health, which by the way seems to be legal because no lawyer wants to help.I was denied and my primary stated let me fluff it up a bit.FLUFF IT UP A BIT?He has been my doctor for 25 years! All that Im going through was basically ignored and not put together. I switched primary doctor and seeing new gi and its EXTREMELY EXHAUSTING because they are staying all my test came back clean, good, its normal. Except THANKYOU LORD JESUS HLA DQ2 is positive that Itty bitty tiny little test of positive FINALLY VALIDATION RIGHT.No, Im still struggling and fighting its not fair

Since medical insurance is not affected directly by celiac disease on an ongoing basis (i.e. medication, medical devices, daily monitoring, home care nursing, etc), I rather doubt anyone would be denied a policy for having it as a pre-existing condition. I’ve certainly never been and I have two pre-existing conditions that are managed with diet alone and both are long-well-known by my doctors and via medical testing and procedures. Insurance is all about risk management, not health.
