I'm in the process of looking for a Dr. to Diagnose my 12 year old son. We live in Santa Monica, CA. I have the names of Frank Sinatra/USC, Dan Thomas, and Marvin Ament/UCLA. Has anyone had an experience with any of these Dr.'s, and can recommend them, or another in my area?

We took my 5 year old to Dr. Larry Eisenberg in Tarzana. We were very pleased with him. He even called our peds dr and gave him an earful for not handling my son's case well.

He is at (818) 705-8559

Just a heads up. Last we talked, he still supports doing a biopsy even if the blood tests come back positive. The choice is always yours of course.

Good luck!

We went to Dr. Eisenberg and found that he was not very open to new ideas. He also scared my son (10) by discussing worst case scenerios in his presence. We also asked him to do a specific tissue culture for mycobacterium when he did my sons colonoscopy but he forgot. Also, Tarzana Regionals path lab is not that great. We went to Dr. Ament for a second opinion. He is excellent and is open to parents ideas. My son is doing much better and we didn't have to resort to any drugs with side effects. Please be proactive!

Thanks rmj when I first rang up it was we can't do it without , but I talked to a lovely lady and she sorted it all out for me, so it pays to be persistent , I would have had to decline if I hadn't been given the water option too , so yes I'm glad too 😌

I’m so glad they listened to your concerns!  I hope you get some answers from the MRI.

Had my MRI today I didn't have to have the manitol with my allergy's , I just had a litre of water , they were great with my concerns , so let's see if anything comes of if will keep posted once I have results 👍

Thank you ,it’s been a long road for me for having both now ,what upsets the most is that if they discovered that I also have cealiac earlier I would not have injested gluten if I was aware. Double whammy.
