Yes, I really like them too. I like the frosted better than the apple cinnamon. I personally think they don't taste that great in milk b/c they have a weird film on them. They are great as a snack by themselves with O.J. Yum!

AH! I want to try those so freakin' bad...but can't find them anywhere yet :(

Mahee34 Enthusiast

i have the plain ones which are quite plain.......holy 6.30 a box though!!!!

As I am reading this post, my other hand is digging through a container of Frosted Perky O's sitting on my desk. I bought them for the first time on Saturday at the new store in Dillsburg. I cannot believe how good they tasted. I miss frosted cereals so these make me happy. I do not know how they taste with milk, I do dry cereal as a snack alot.

PS--I was really iffy on buying the cereal at first, it was $6 a box.... but I can see purchasing it again.

I haven't found those yet... I did try the Glutino O's and they weren't that good... kinda wimpy in my opinion

They should make you perky, we can't find them locally, but if you get 10 on gluten free mall, you get a case discount, we buy 10 bokes every month or so... SOO yummy

I haven't tried these, but thanks for sharing that you like them. I will try and find them. SO far we did try the Glutino "cheerios" and they weren't very good at all. My son would probably love these. THanks alot.

so they are on the gluten-free mall? i just might have to place an order. although i already placed a big order from the gluten-free trading co and one from gluten-free pantry this week! my dh will be telling me to stop soon!

flagbabyds Collaborator

They have them on gluten free mall, and you can mix&match flavors I think, i get all plain becasue they are the only that don't have corn in them, but I also like the flavor a lot more than the other two.

jenvan Collaborator

I just ordered some. Must....stop....ordering....food....online ! :P

Yeah, these are definately good enough (maybe a bit too exepnsive thoug) to eat for someone that isn't evn on a gluten-free diet.

Great! Glad to hear of all the good responses to this cereal, as my son is 11 months old and the "cheerios age" is about to kick in. He is a gluten free kid. So now I know a cereal I can give him. Thanks!

I think they're linked with Enjoylife?

LOVE the applecinnamon. I was SO missing cereal with taste!!!

They're a great grab and go breakfast - dry.

My two year old loves the frosted Perky O's. But my daughter only likes the Cinnamon Ceros (Heartlands Best I think???) I think I've started something terrible though now that I gave them some Cocoa Puffs for a treat yesterday. Going back to the less sugary cereal is going to be a bugger. I've had such a sweet tooth this pregnancy, and love sugary cereal at night, my kids are definately reaping the benefits of this! :P

My Perky O's arrived yesterday--can't wait to try them! I told myself I have to finish the 3 other opened boxes of cereal first though!!!

Desperately need a vitamin D supplement. I've reacted to most brands I've tried.

Hello, @Jane02,  I take Naturewise D 3.  It contains olive oil.   Some Vitamin D supplements, like D Drops, are made with fractionated coconut oil which can cause digestive upsets.  Fractionated coconut oil is not the same as coconut oil used for cooking.  Fractionated coconut oil has been treated for longer shelf life, so it won't go bad in the jar, and thus may be irritating to the digestive system. I avoid supplements made with soy because many people with Celiac Disease also react to soy.  Mixed tocopherols, an ingredient in Thornes Vitamin D, may be sourced from soy oil.  Kirkland's has soy on its ingredient list. I avoid things that might contain or be exposed to crustaceans, like Metagenics says on its label.  I have a crustacean/shellfish/fish allergy.  I like Life Extension Bioactive Complete B Complex.  I take additional Thiamine B 1 in the form Benfotiamine which helps the intestines heal, Life Extension MegaBenfotiamine. Thiamine is needed to activate Vitamin D.   Low thiamine can make one feel like they are getting glutened after a meal containing lots of simple carbohydrates like white rice, or processed gluten free foods like cookies and pasta.   It's rare to have a single vitamin deficiency.  The water soluble B Complex vitamins should be supplemented together with additional Thiamine in the form Benfotiamine and Thiamine TTFD (tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide) to correct subclinical deficiencies that don't show up on blood tests.  These are subclinical deficiencies within organs and tissues.  Blood is a transportation system.  The body will deplete tissues and organs in order to keep a supply of thiamine in the bloodstream going to the brain and heart.   If you're low in Vitamin D, you may well be low in other fat soluble vitamins like Vitamin A and Vitamin K. Have you seen a dietician?

I do not know this, but since they are labelled gluten-free, and are not really a product that could easily be contaminated when making them (there would be not flour in the air of such a facility, for example), I don't really see contamination as something to be concerned about for this type of product.

Thanks @Scott Adams. Do you know if Kirkland Signature supplements share facility and production lines with other products containing gluten?  I'm worried that I'll react to this brand just like I did with other gluten-free labelled supplement brands.
