Julie, thats my thinking as well. I dont hold grudges and I think life is too short for all that negative energy. Try explaining it to all of my exes' girlfriends though. <_<

None of my exes are honest w/ their girlfreinds because none of the girlfriends can understand why we are friends. None of them like me. :(

I think the one that I went to the movies with last week has never even told the girlfriend that we even keep in contact...and it been 3 years....and we've done lots of things togther.

In a way it kind of makes me wonder what lies they told me when we were together....sheeesh...I'm only seeing now how well they can lie and get away with stuff.

Maybe I will stay single forever. :P

Isn't that the truth about the negative energy! If you hold onto that anger, and whatever else (hate, jealousy, hurt, etc.) you just carry it into your other relationships and your life in general and it only ends up hurting you. I'm all for just working it out and letting it go.

I can understand why it might be hard for your exes current girlfriends to accept your friendship, imo that is coming from a place of jealousy and insecurity with themselves and in the relationship. I don't like that quality in some women, and I suppose men have it too, where they get so crazy with paranoid suspicion, lack of trust, and the need to have control over the other person. If I ever act that way believe me, I will shoot myself

Julie--I can't remember if I discussed this with you, but I called Ecco Bella and the woman there told me that their entire cosmetic line was gluten-free. Just the cosmetics--some of their other products do contain gluten. I repeated "the entire cosmetic line" 2 or 3 times, and she assured me that it was. I plan to try their mascara the next time I need some--I use BE, and their mascara is ok, but I would like to try something else the next time.

That is great news jersey about Ecco Bella cosmetics!! Now that I know this I think I will look into their lipliners and possibly lipsticks. I really do like their mascara, I've been using it for about 6 or 7 years. Let me know how you like it, if and when you do try it out.

This reminds me of a Darma and Greg show. Don't know if you guys ever watch that but in this episode, Darma was running for council and the more she lied to the public she got boils and sickness, it was pretty funny, but true in a way.

I've been VERY worried about this years hurricanes! I live on the water of the Gulf, about 45 minutes north of Tampa AND today they announced "Tropical Depression One" and it will turn into a tropical storm in 48 hours and ground zero is over my house :( I was wondering what everyone is buying to prepare for this years hurricanes that are gluten free..... this is really hard since I'm having trouble with everything processed, packaged or canned, and I'm sure if I need the Red Cross and ask for gluten free food they will just laugh at me and say "are you kidding?" :o Any suggestions would be so appreciated!

Here's the latest tracker for todays "Tropical Depression One"

Open Original Shared Link

I posted this in the celiac gab area also hoping for suggestions, but I feel more comfy posting here in Rachels thread :D

This is a concern of mine too, not that I live in a hurricane area (I'm pretty much in the middle) but what to do in a natural disaster or epidemic situation, like for instance when they say stock up for bird flu for when it comes. What would we stock up on??

I guess the answer Floridian is that gluten free would be priority one. It might have to be a few packaged things because everything else is perishable and wouldn't last or pack well. I'm thinking nuts, dried fruit, canned tuna, water, and even on these I would get sick.

Maybe someone else has some ideas??

Rachel--24 Collaborator

Wow Floridian...I never even thought about this.

I wonder what I could stock up on since I cant eat canned stuff right now??

We dont get hurricanes here but we do get earthquakes.

Since most of the stuff we're eating is perishable it makes it kind of difficult. I'm thinking along the lines of what Julie suggested. Canned tuna, canned fruits and veggies, dried fruit...those types of things would probably be ok for you.

AndreaB Contributor

Floridian,

Can you do canned salmon? Sardines? Anything like that.

Can you do canned fruit in fruit juice?

Fresh fruit like apples and oranges would last a week. What about tomatoes.

Of course make sure you have lots of drinking water.

We don't have much of a threat with that. Mt St Helens is nearby but not a threat to our location (except for ash maybe). We are right by the Columbia River between Vancouver and Longview Washington.

Rachel,

I wouldn't be comfortable with all those earthquakes down there either. Washington seems to be pretty tame as far as natural threats are concerned.

you'll see me on the news flying through the sky clutching onto my little bag of brown rice flour :lol:

:lol: I'm still cracking up imagining that!!

What about jarred fruits...like pears and peaches (probably not much better huh)? Or if you can do seeds, what about raw, organic food like this stuff: www.goraw.com. I love Go Raw products...its all gluten-free and cf and I find I react less to the raw foodist type stuff because it's all properly soaked and sprouted. I think that stuff stores for a while too.

AndreaB Contributor
I have a problem with all processed, packaged and canned things, it sucks :( and the first thing the Red Cross gives out is bread, pretzels and water  but you are right, the fresh fruit would last a week... that's a great idea.... can you eat red potatoes raw? and how long does fresh veggies last?

You probably could eat any veggie raw, we just aren't used to it. I would think any veggie except lettuce would last unrefrigerated for a week. Buy avocados green, carrots, celery, turnips, kohlrabi, broccoli, cauliflower. Most of this stuff is usually cold. Look for the stuff that's in the middle of the produce section. What about grapefruit and other citrus so common in Florida?

Seems like fruit is most commonly not refrigerated.

This is tough.

You could also get pears. Pears are great...I love em. I'm not sure about eating a raw potato but you could get zuccinni and cucumbers. Those can be eaten raw and they'll last about a week.

AndreaB Contributor

As far as protein...can you do nuts? What about beef jerky or something like that. I haven't eaten those for quite a long time and don't remember what goes into them. I realize they are more than likely a no go.

Also what about snap peas for a raw veggie?

You could live off of fruit and veggies along with water for a week. Certainly wouldn't gain any weight though. :) Would still be nice to find a protein that doesn't have to be refridgerated. Do you have a dehydrator? You could always cook some meat and dehydrate it so it would keep.

What about melons. They would also keep.

Can you eat peanut butter or some other nut butter? You can grind your own at co-ops if you can't do jarred.

Floridian--You and you family are in my prayers. How scary! Everyone has given you good food ideas--I was also wondering if you could do fruit/veggies in glass jars (as opposed to cans). Nut butters on any fresh fruit or veggie would keep you going. The only veggie you should not eat raw is a potato. That could make you sick. Carrots keep well. I will be thinking about you and hoping that the weather will cooperate B) . Take care, friend :)

Floridian, I'm probably too late, you must have gone to the strore by now...I was thinking about this all night and I remembered Edward & Sons Brown Rice Snaps. I get them at my health food store. If you are ok with Rice Twice cereal I would think you could handle these crackers? I can eat them without any problems, they have few ingredients and are gluten free, kosher, etc. I like the Toasted Onion flavor, but you could get the plain and have with peanut butter or other nut butter. Just a thought, for you to have another option.

You and your family are in my thoughts. I didn't realize this but some of my family is in Ft. Lauderdale for business and they are trying to get out, I don't really know my geography down there to know where this is in relation to the hurricane zone...

Stay safe!! And good luck with the food situation, I know it can't be easy in times like this when everyone else is eating just whatever is fast, easy, and available.

And a word on a dehydrator, not a bad idea, especially to make some natural jerkies ahead and prepare for a national disaster/crisis. This would solve my protein problems. And we could make our own dried fruit with absolutely nothing else added to it. Add it to the list of the appliances we need to get for this no processed food diet- the juicer, ice cream maker, dehydrator, am I leaving anything out :lol:

Julie,

You could always get a grain mill to grind your own flours. I have an inexpensive one that goes with my champion juicer but it doesn't do well with beans (which between my hubby and I, we are allergic to 4). I need to consider whether to get a better on. Also the one I have I ground wheat in and need to try and take apart to see how well it could be cleaned. My little one is very sensitive to any gluten I ingest.

Don't forget a hand held can opener, electric one wouldn't work very well with no power.

I bought a dehydrator years ago to dry fruits and herbs. Haven't used it for quite awhile. I'll have to figure out making my own jerky. That sounds good. Still don't know if the kids would eat it. :( They like the dairy so at least they can get some protein from that.

Floridian,

Keep us posted as you can. Don't know where you live but I assume you're above Tampa. My grandma lived in Tampa and she had told me about buildings being wiped out right across the street from her and her place being just fine. I always enjoyed those summer heat lightning storms. Of course the torrential downpours were interesting also. My grandma or parent also told me of a time when a tree was struck by lightning during one of those downpours and came down on the road right behind them. :o I always thought it was neat to be able to go outside even during the rain since it was so warm. I'm from Washington so we can't do that here. :(

Julie,

Great idea...those are the exact crackers I've been eating w/out noticeable problems. Floridian...if you can find them they would be perfect. I get them at Whole Foods. I just eat the plain unsalted...it only has brown and white rice flour. I've also had the rice sesame...same ingredients + sesame. They are made in a facility with wheat but so far so good for me.

Floridian,

Everything I'm reading makes it sound pretty scary. I dont know about hurricanes except what I've seen on TV and they scare me.

I hope you are able to get everything you need in case you lose power...I'll be thinking of you guys. Stay safe.

AndreaB Contributor
We are in Beverly Hills, (Citrus County), about 10 minutes just east of the Gulf of Mexico and 45 minutes north of Tampa. I'm getting scared

I hope my post didn't scare you. The hurricane that hit Tampa was a long time ago. My grandma died about 15 years ago and it had been probably 10 years before that if not more. Didn't Tampa get some high winds last year.

Citrus County...I assume because that's where the citrus is grown. I will also be watching the news on the computer, we don't have TV, just DVD's and VHS.

At least you have your water and milk and between all here have figured out some food stuffs. Do you have the plywood to batten down the hatches this time? During nice weather when you feel well it must be great to go to the gulf. We live about 1 1/2 to 2 hours from the coast. About 8-9 years ago I used to get off work, grab the stepkids and hubby and make a mad dash to the coast to watch the sunset. 1 1/2 hour drive for about 20 minutes of time at the beach. Crazy but fun.:lol: I love the ocean! Too much wind and not enough jobs to live there though. Of course gas prices weren't so bad but we had a van which still sucks up gas. The stepkids are 15 and older and the ones not out of the house are back with their mom by choice. My hubby had won custody of them. Just have our 3 little ones now...but no van. :(

Now it's been upgraded to "Tropical Storm Alberto" great :( it always is worse after they give it a name.

I don't know what the wind rates are for storms vs hurricane 1, but it's still not a hurricane. Keep your chin up and do what you can to prepare and stay safe.

That said from the safety of my home in a place that never sees hurricanes. I think I'd rather put up with all the rain everyone complains about than the tropical storms, hurricanes or major earthquakes (like you in California Rachel). I've been hearing since I was in college ('85-'87) that we were due for another big one. We had a medium big one back in 2000 I think it was. Didn't hurt us but buildings in town (Olympia) to Seattle were damaged pretty badly.

dlp252 Apprentice

Wow, I've been out all day and just got home.

Floridian hope you are doing okay! I lived in Hawaii for about 6 years and during that time we got two bad hurricaines...it was DEFINITELY scarey!

Now I just have to put up with the California earthquakes...those can be scarey, but not as scarey as the high winds from a tornado or a hurricaine I think...maybe that's just because I have live here all my life except for the time in Hawaii so I'm just "used" to them.

I'm not nearly as good about preparing as I should be. I have a little water, and lots of nuts and nut butters, canned tuna (which fortunately I can get at whole foods without added ingredients except for salt), and some rice cakes (which I just discovered yesterday, lol). But that's about it. I'm going to try to find those brown rice snaps and maybe I'll stock up on rice cakes and a few more bags of nuts.

Floridian, I put a little olive oil on my diced up cucumbers...sometimes with a touch of lemon juice...it's pretty good and none of that really needs to be refrigerated.

Rachel--24 Collaborator
I would be really afraid of earthquakes because at least with hurricanes you have a few days warning so you can prepare. I hope you don't EVER get the "big one"!

Well I already survived one big one so I hope thats it for me in my lifetime. I think it was in '89. It was pretty damn scary. I dont wanna go through anything like that again!

Hmmm...actually I forgot what year it was in but I remember the day Oct. 17th...the Giants were playing the A's in the world series. It was the Battle of the Bay. Were you here then Donna?

I needed some hairspray today. I usually use Finesse unscented but it still has a strong smell that bugs me. I was spraying all the different brands in the store to see if any of them have little or no odor. I found one..(of course it was over $15)...the thing is its got Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein. Should I be worried? The finesse was gluten-free...it had hydrolyzed soy protein though. Hydrolyzed Proteins are MSG but I dont know if it can be absorbed in my skin or not.

Gluten doesnt get absorbed so as long as I'm not spraying it in my mouth I should be ok as far as that goes...right.

Well, you can inhale that stuff if you're spraying it. I was using hairspray with wheat in it for a while. Honestly, it never made me sick, but I stopped using it for my own peace of mind. I was in a ballet class a few weeks ago and I had to redo my hair really quick so I took a bobby pin out of my hair and stuck it in my mouth without thinking about it. Of course the bobby pin had gluteny hairspray all over it. Yuck. Okay that's a really weird story to tell (and a really bizzare way to get glutened), but my point is you might not want to spray that stuff anywhere near your body or your environment just for your own peace of mind. You just never know how you might end up ingesting it.

Rachel,

From what I have read on this board there are several people who believe that anything and everything is absorbed by our bodies so they stay completely away from any products with gluten (and their other offending substances soy, corn..) then there are several who only stay away from products with gluten that could possibly be ingested in the mouth. I guess you just have to make the best decision for yourself.

Sorry, I wasn't very helpful

Floridian, I really hope you are able to get to the health food store tomorrow. If things get worse and you can't just do the best you can, gluten free being the number one priority. Hang in there!!

Rachel,

I dont use any hairspray or products, just suave coconut shampoo, and no conditioner.

I use a soap called Basis pure and simple for extra dry skin for soap its preservative free and fragrance free, and I shave with it too.

I wolud be sensitive to all hair sprays at this point.

Ever watch that show Blow out on Bravo?

Well that hair designer Jonahan has a whole product line for hair including sulfite free shampoos I was thinking of trying.

He says they are dairy free, and 100% vegan and wheat free on the website.

He also sells a shower filter, to filter out impurities when you shower.

heres the website

maybe he has some better hairsprays.

Never!! I wouldn't think that Floridian, I enjoy your posts :)

Did you check out the thread about hurricanes down in the "anything but celiac" discussion category? Someone posted a very good suggestion list of what to do to prepare beforehand and during power outage.

This is actually a wake up call, and a good learning experience, for us all no matter where we are in the country to have a plan for disasters/crises.

Were you in the northridge earthquake in '94? It was one of the many disasters that happen around my birthday <_<

That was January 17th, my b-day is the 16th. The Gulf War started on my birthday too.

For some reason, earthquakes don't scare me like storms. We drilled in cali for earthquakes, we braced. Maybe it's just because I was raised there

Good luck with the storm, Floridian!

I don't remember exactly either. My parents were rv'ing and had crossed the bridge within a week of the earthquake. That was the Oakland bridge that was damaged wasn't it? They retired in 1991 and were traveling quite a bit at that time so maybe it was around that time.

I think I would rather be right where I am (except I still like NE Washington) than anywhere else. We don't get hurricanes, no tornadoes to speak of (they say anyone can get those though), and no earthquakes like California. We just have occassional flooding, forest fires (along with everyone else) and recently more burps from Mt. St. Helens. We keep wondering if Mt. Rainier is going to wake up. St Helens is the most active in the Washington Cascade range. We have Mt. Adams near us as well. We are about 20 miles north of Vancouver WA in a bity town called Kalama that is right off the freeway.

We went down to Portland in January I think it was, trying to beat a storm coming through. Didn't make it. I-5 in Portland turns into a skating rink very easily we found out. I think ice skater would have had an easier and faster time getting through there than we did. :) I was so scared. It took us 3 hours to get home in what should have taken an hour. It's not so bad if there's not a lot of traffic but it was bumper to bumper cars and you'd go into a mini slide just going 2 MPH. :o It's the semi's that make me nervous. My husband drives semi's for his job. I usually drive since the seat has to be so far forward with the babies car seat. I had to have my husband take over because I was shaking and crying because I was so scared to drive. He got us home safely. :D It's weather like that that makes me wish he had another job...but at least I get to stay home with the kids.

Floridian,

Keep us posted. Hope you make it to the store tomorrow.

The olive oil on cucumbers actually sounds good! Wow 6 years in Hawaii, was it similar to Florida, as far as climate?

Yes the weather is similar I think…I’ve only spent 1 day in Florida (after a cruise—we took an excursion in Ft. Lauderdale), so I don’t know if that’s a good enough time…but it is muggy in both places and very warm, lol. Bugs grow big in both places.

Hope you have successfully been to the health food store and are now back home safe! Post all you like!!

Hmmm...actually I forgot what year it was in but I remember the day Oct. 17th...the Giants were playing the A's in the world series. It was the Battle of the Bay. Were you here then Donna?

Yep. That was a really scary one. I had just finished helping teach a youth karate class and it hit. We were in a gymnasium and they had long metal tables that folded up into the walls…those started falling out! As we were trying to get out of the gym, it was nearly impossible to walk upright…I turned around to watch my karate instructor (who had the best balance in the world) struggling to walk…that’s when I got very scared. The gym was only a few blocks from my house, but it took me 45 minutes to get home because all the traffic lights were out and it was just after 5:00 p.m. so lots of people were on their way home from work. I think the worst part was sitting at home that night alone in the dark with aftershock after aftershock. I couldn’t reach my mom because phone lines were out locally. I was able to reach my uncle in Texas who was able to call my mother. My mom and I live 20 minutes drive from each other, lol.

I DO think it was the Battle of the Bay…it was a big deal, I know that much.

It was October 17th, 1989! I don't think I'll ever forget that date, lol.

ChelsE – I don’t think we felt the Northridge quake up here, but I sure remember that one. Scarey! I had an aunt who was living down there at the time. She lost some dishes and stuff like that, but no real major structural damage. It was devastating for so many people.

Andrea - the Bay bridge (Oakland/SF) was the one that had the piece drop out of it, and the Embarcadero bridge I think was the one that collapsed on itself...I think there were some others that had minor damage, but those were the two I remember had the big stuff. Glad your parents weren't anywhere near there on that day!

Rachel--24 Collaborator

Floridian, I'm really worried for you. When do they expect it to hit? Keep us updated. I'll be praying for you and everyone down there.

Raising you vitamin D will increase absorption of calcium automatically without supplementation of calcium.  A high PTH can be caused by low D causing poor calcium absorption; not insuffient calcium intake.  With low D your body is not absorbing calcium from your food so it steals it from your bones.  Heart has priority over bone. I've been taking 10,000 IU D3 a day since 2015.  My doctor says to continue. To fix my lactose intolerance, lots of lactobacillus from yogurts, and brine fermented pickles and saurkraut and olives.  We lose much of our ability to make lactase endogenosly with maturity but a healthy colony of lactobacillus in our gut excretes lactase in exchange for room and board. The milk protein in grass fed milk does not bother me. It tastes like the milk I grew up on.  If I drink commercial milk I get heartburn at night. Some experts estimate that 90% of us do not eat Adequite Intake of choline.  Beef and eggs are the principle source. Iodine deficiency is a growing concern.  I take 600 mcg a day of Liquid Iodine.  It and NAC have accelerated my healing all over.  Virtually blind in my right eye after starting antihypertensive medication and vision is slowly coming back.  I had to cut out starches because they drove my glucose up into the 200+ range.  I replaced them with Red Bull for the glucose intake with the vitamins, minerals and Taurine needed to process through the mitochodria Krebs Cycle to create ATP.  Went from A1c 13 down to 7.9.  Work in progress. Also take B1,B2,B3,B5,B6. Liquid Iodine, Phosphatidyl Choline, Q10, Selenium, D and DHEA.     Choline supplemented as phosphatidylcholine decreases fasting and postmethionine-loading plasma homocysteine concentrations in healthy men +

@catnapt, Wheat germ has very little gluten in it.  Gluten is  the carbohydrate storage protein, what the flour is made from, the fluffy part.  Just like with beans, there's the baby plant that will germinate  ("germ"-inate) if sprouted, and the bean part is the carbohydrate storage protein.   Wheat germ is the baby plant inside a kernel of wheat, and bran is the protective covering of the kernel.   Little to no gluten there.   Large amounts of lectins are in wheat germ and can cause digestive upsets, but not enough Gluten to provoke antibody production in the small intestines. Luckily you still have time to do a proper gluten challenge (10 grams of gluten per day for a minimum of two weeks) before your next appointment when you can be retested.

Hello, @asaT, I'm curious to know whether you are taking other B vitamins like Thiamine B1 and Niacin B3.  Malabsorption in Celiac disease affects all the water soluble B vitamins and Vitamin C.  Thiamine and Niacin are required to produce energy for all the homocysteine lowering reactions provided by Folate, Cobalamine and Pyridoxine.   Weight gain with a voracious appetite is something I experienced while malnourished.  It's symptomatic of Thiamine B1 deficiency.   Conversely, some people with thiamine deficiency lose their appetite altogether, and suffer from anorexia.  At different periods on my lifelong journey, I suffered this, too.   When the body doesn't have sufficient thiamine to turn food, especially carbohydrates, into energy (for growth and repair), the body rations what little thiamine it has available, and turns the carbs into fat, and stores it mostly in the abdomen.  Consuming a high carbohydrate diet requires additional thiamine to process the carbs into energy.  Simple carbohydrates (sugar, white rice, etc.) don't contain thiamine, so the body easily depletes its stores of Thiamine processing the carbs into fat.  The digestive system communicates with the brain to keep eating in order to consume more thiamine and other nutrients it's not absorbing.   One can have a subclinical thiamine insufficiency for years.  A twenty percent increase in dietary thiamine causes an eighty percent increase in brain function, so the symptoms can wax and wane mysteriously.  Symptoms of Thiamine insufficiency include stunted growth, chronic fatigue, and Gastrointestinal Beriberi (diarrhea, abdominal pain), heart attack, Alzheimer's, stroke, and cancer.   Thiamine improves bone turnover.  Thiamine insufficiency can also affect the thyroid.  The thyroid is important in bone metabolism.  The thyroid also influences hormones, like estrogen and progesterone, and menopause.  Vitamin D, at optimal levels, can act as a hormone and can influence the thyroid, as well as being important to bone health, and regulating the immune system.  Vitamin A is important to bone health, too, and is necessary for intestinal health, as well.   I don't do dairy because I react to Casein, the protein in dairy that resembles gluten and causes a reaction the same as if I'd been exposed to gluten, including high tTg IgA.  I found adding mineral water containing calcium and other minerals helpful in increasing my calcium intake.   Malabsorption of Celiac affects all the vitamins and minerals.  I do hope you'll talk to your doctor and dietician about supplementing all eight B vitamins and the four fat soluble vitamins because they all work together interconnectedly.

Hi Jane: You may want to try the D3 I now take. I have reactions to fillers and many additives. Sports Research, it is based in the USA and I have had no bad reactions with this brand. The D3 does have coconut oil but it is non GMO, it is Gluten free, Soy free, Soybean free and Safflower oil free.  I have a cupboard full of supplements that did not agree with me -  I just keep trying and have finally settled on Sports Research. I take NAKA Women's Multi full spectrum, and have not felt sick after taking 2 capsules per day -  it is a Canadian company. I buy both from Amazon. I wish you well in your searching, I know how discouraging it all is. Florence.

highly unlikely  NOTHING and I mean NOTHING else has ever caused me these kinds of symptoms I have no problem with dates, they are a large part of my diet In fact, I eat a very high fiber, very high vegetable and bean diet and have for many years now. It's considered a whole foods plant based or plant forward diet (I do now eat some lean ground turkey but not much) I was off dairy for years but recently had to add back plain yogurt to meet calcium needs that I am not allowed to get from supplements (I have not had any problem with the yogurt)   I eat almost no processed foods. I don't eat out. almost everything I eat, I cook myself I am going to keep a food diary but to be honest, I already know that it's wheat products and also barley that are the problem, which is why I gradually stopped eating and buying them. When I was eating them, like back in early 2024, when I was in the middle of moving and ate out (always had bread or toast or rolls or a sub or pizza) I felt terrible but at that time was so busy and exhausted that I never stopped to think it was the food. Once I was in my new place, I continued to have bread from time to time and had such horrible joint pain that I was preparing for 2 total knee replacements as well as one hip! The surgery could not go forward as I was (and still am) actively losing calcium from my bones. That problem has yet to be properly diagnosed and treated   anyway over time I realized that I felt better when I stopped eating bread. Back at least 3 yrs ago I noticed that regular pasta made me sick so I switched to brown rice pasta and even though it costs a lot more, I really like it.   so gradually I just stopped buying and eating foods with gluten. I stopped getting raisin bran when I was constipated because it made me bloated and it didn't help the constipation any more (used to be a sure bet that it would in the past)   I made cookies and brownies using beans and rolled oats and dates and tahini and I LOVE them and have zero issues eating those I eat 1 or more cans of beans per day easily can eat a pound of broccoli - no problem! Brussels sprouts the same thing.   so yeh it's bread and related foods that are clearly the problem  there is zero doubt in my mind
