ok so i was reading my newb kit and it states that cool-ranch doritoes are safe, is this really true or is there lots of cc issues, milk does not seem to bother me that much, and these are literaly my favorite chip and i have not had them for about 4 months before i went gluten-free and now that i have been gluten-free for a month thats 5 months and i would love to have these as a treat to myself for not cheating on this diet and sticking with it even though i feel like its not working sometimes

Ranch was never my favorite flavor  I have had them without a problem (remember to always read the label, the formulations are always changing). However, there are several people who have had issues with Frito-Lay and cc issues.

I've not had a problem yet with Lay's products. We have the little 25 cent bags at work, so I snack on Cheetos and Doritos fairly often. No clue about the meat.

turning this post into a 4 question post sorry, i just hate to flood the board with new topics

ok so colgate says that all variates are gluten-free but then they also say that, the same factory is used for all there products and they make absolutly no garuntee against cc and its a risk you take in using there products... so im wondering if maybe my toothpaste is what has been getten me sick??

I have never had a problem with colagate but I have had a problem with cooler ranch doritios

I eat the white cheese, organic Doritioes made by Frito-lay, safe ingredients and your fingers don't get the orange dust all over them. They taste good too.

I think most of the Doritos are safe. The nacho cheese one is not. The black pepper jack ones are my favorite. They taste great with Velveeta cheese dip. Yum.

I use Crest toothpaste and have never had a problem. It may be worth switching just to be safe. I like the cinnamon crest. :)

I have never heard of the brand before. But I think that you are reffering to deli meat? If so just ask the deli counter for the company phone number tell them that it is reguarding a food allergey and call the company and ask. You might also want to try to see if there is a number on line for the company.

Good luck :)

We eat the Doritos Nacho Cheese Naturals White Corn too. My son is very sensitive, but Thank God has had no problems. They taste the same as the regular nacho cheese Doritos - yum!

i dont think its deli meet, its just steak that they packaged, no ingrediants so it should be safe, i have to eat it for lunch no matter what or else my stomic will get upset since i did not bring backup food

even though a celiac came in yesterday and says that she eats here all the time without problems including useing eating are frys (i dont even do that i know what happens with the fryers)

Hello, I was very stick,  with flu like symptoms, but my virus panel came back negative and we couldn’t figure out what’s going on. The doctor then added a celiac panel.  Has anyone ever had such a dramatic change?  What are the odds this is true celiac I am going to have an endoscopy, but it’s expensive and I just feel like why can’t the labs be enough?

Eating out in general is full of risks, but this article may help:

This kind of question is always difficult to give a definitive answer to because of so many variables. One such variable is the sensitivity of the individual celiac to small amounts of gluten cross contamination. An amount that causes a reaction in one celiac many not in another, or at least not be discernable which, of course, does not exactly equate to being "safe".

I don't live in the US, but based on this thread, I wouldn't risk it:   https://www.reddit.com/r/glutenfree/comments/1n2ehw8/cracker_barrel/   This app is helpful: https://www.findmeglutenfree.com/

I see that Cracker Barrel restaurants have a gluten free menu (not all locations, but one confirmed that they do). I was wondering if it is safe for my 5 year old son with celiac disease?
