I was looking at the Gluten Free Pantry's website and they said the the Quick Mix can be used ONE for ONE in all your favorite Bisquick recipes...!!! I thought what a wonderful idea, so I searched for some Bisquick recipes

no, xanthan gum is already in The Gluten Free Pantry's Quick Mix... which is what I used 1 for 1 in place of Bisquick...

Is this Quick Mix a mix you mix up yourself, or do you have to buy it ready-mixed like Bisquick?

I miss this one dish I used to make a lot, it was kind of like a savory tart, but we called it "tuna pizza."

It had a kind of tuna/cream cheese/herb spread on top of a baked bisquick crust, with thinly sliced tomatoes on top...It sounds gross, I'm too tired to describe it properly, but oh, it was good....

it's a ready made product like Bisquick... It's by The Gluten Free Pantry, and it's called "Quick Mix"

Crock Pot Recipe

A crockpot chicken recipe with orange marinade. This chicken needs to marinate, so start very early in the morning or the night before.

INGREDIENTS:

Marinade:

2 cups chicken broth

2 tablespoons frozen orange juice concentrate

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste

2 tablespoons gluten-free soy sauce

2 tablespoons brown sugar

2 cloves garlic, minced

dash ground allspice

dash ground ginger

1 teaspoon salt

.

Chicken and Remaining Ingredients

6 chicken breast halves

6 to 8 ounces sliced mushrooms

2 tablespoons butter

1 can (11 ounces) mandarin oranges, drained

1 small bell pepper, green or red, seeded, cut in strips

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

3 tablespoons cornstarch

1/4 cup cold milk

1/4 cup cold water

PREPARATION:

Combine marinade ingredients in a non-reactive container with lid or a large sealable food storage bag; blend well. Add the chicken to marinade; cover or close bag and refrigerate for 6 to 8 hours, or overnight.

Place the marinated chicken in the slow cooker.

Add marinade to cover chicken. Sauté mushrooms in the butter, then add to chicken and marinade in slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours. About 1 hour before done, add mandarin orange sections, green pepper and ginger; stir well. When done, mix together the cornstarch, milk and cold water, then gradually add into the slow cooker while stirring; cover and cook 15 minutes longer, until thickened.

Do you think it would work for plain old biscuits, too? I miss those for strawberry shortcake :(

I'm probably starting to sound like a broken record (scratched celiac disease?), but Annalise Roberts' cookbook has a recipe for buttermilk biscuits--it's the second-to-last recipe in the book.

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
