FYI: I drank some Mug root beer the other day, and spent the rest of the day in the bathroom. I know the website says gluten-free, but I still had a reaction to it. Maybe it was one of the herbs they use for flavor?

perhaps it was just a weird reaction - i literally drink one Mug a day... it's my favourite root beer, and i have never had a problem with it.

I get the same thing with vision in frames. It usually only happens when I'm really tired. I think it's just your optic nerve telling you that it can't function anymore without sleep. Who knows though. When this happens, try putting a warm cloth over your eyes. Not only will it sooth your eyes, but it may help you to go to sleep faster. It works very well for me. I either put it on my eyes or over one ear, either way it makes me desperately sleepy.

On a side note, if I were you I would try to stay away from caffein. It's a diuretic and may increase any D that you've been experiencing. It also aids in sleeplessness and restless sleep. If you must drink soda, try to stick to sprite, sierra mist, ginger ale, and caffein free colas.

yay if i could have gone to sleep i would have, but i had just gotten to work for about a hour, so i was 4 hours into beeing awake for the day, and i was having those vision problems, it was awful- i just dont get why im so tired lately no matter how much sleep i get

I was going to drink some soda because i was at work and could barely function (as for increasing D, i guess luckly i have C problems instead so it may acually help

Guhlia Rising Star

Hmmmm... Okay, question... Did you ever do acid? Feel free to not answer that. If you did though, you may have just been having a flashback. Happens all the time and those are very common flashback symptoms.

Lister Rising Star

no but about 5 months ago, my friends put a 8th of mushrooms into a drink and i drank it all before they said anything ( my mom is litaraly pshycotic) so i think im already slightly chemicaly off balance, and they pushed me over the edge and it took me about 3 days to finally become "normal" and acually all my stomic related problems s tarted after that insadent also

Guhlia Rising Star

I'm not sure if shrooms would do the same thing as acid, flashback wise that is... Maybe someone else would know. Seriously though, the symptoms that you described sound like a very typical flashback. Hopefully that's all it is. Though, I have some doubt whether you'd be experiencing flashbacks after one usage of a psychadelic. Hmmm... Who knows...

I think that in order to help you with your issues, you need to decribe your daily routine. Everything that you put in your mouth and anything that is ingested into your body. (That includes, smoking/cigs/pot, pills, vitaimines, meds, food, drink.....) There is something that is messing with you or your messing with them.

Write down EVERYTHING that goes into your system for two weeks.....and report back perhaps the answer may be there. You must be truely honest though. No cheating on the log list.

There are alot of pros here that can help, but only if you are willing to get help.

Try this avenue, perhaps it can help you figure all of the out.

Lister:

Can your imagine what the results of feeling crappy will be....

1. How do you work when you're stoned at 2:30 in the afternoon... 4 bowls (of what) even between 4 is enough for you to not give a crap about what your doing at work.

2. You smoke cigs, I do, but I eat.

3. There is every reason why you feel like crap:

What you wrote today:

No diary

No protien

No fruit

Too many carbs

Too many cigs

Too much weed (I assume i'ts weed - bowl, who knows).

A corrective diet, won't do it for a few days, this is a life style change. If you want to feel better, take charge of your life. But you can't do it if you stoned all the freggin time.

You have some serious issues and if you want to stand up and address then, we will help you in any way that we can. But, if you want to live in your lah-lah-land and stoned most of the time that you post....I can't help you.

If you want to feel better, then be responsible. Loose the weed and get controll of your health. Your choice.

Life is a choice in every thing we do. You can "choose wisely, or choose poorly".

Don't bother posting when you're high, post when you're clean and clear.

I truely care, Lisa

Lisa Mentor

I just wanted to add that I care about you and your are too young to have issues and they need to be addressed. I want you to feel better. :)

Lister, I totally agree with Lisa, and we REALLY want to help you here, but you have to really want to help yourself too, and it may involve seriously revamping your current lifestyle.

No one is judging you, least of all me, for I have been where you are... trust me.

We are in this thing together and we want to see you healthy, but your lifestyle right now is not helping your health situation at all.

lorka150 Collaborator

lister, i've mentioned this to you a few times, and you haven't seem to responded, but i'll try again. perhaps you should focus on more of a whole foods diet then eating so many pre-made and processed items.

Lister Rising Star

there was only 3 slightly processed things on that list..

as for the weed i only smoke 1nc a day, 2:30 just usualy happens to be the time, since im off work at 2 and its nice to relax the second i get off. as for 4 bowls/ split between4 people is really not that much. I ate chicken doesnt that have protein?? as for dairy im still avoiding it, i tried to have yogurt the other day and it made me feel really ill, i stared the morning off with a banana.. isnt a banana a fruit?

sorry if this came out mean or something, im not good with typing was just responding not ment to be snappy or anything i just dont know how to prhase things in words

lorka150 Collaborator

right, but i'm just saying that i had to eat completely clean. i ate about seven things for about six months. instead of the enjoy life bar, the corn tortillas, the rice chips, the billion cigarettes, the other chips... what about some food from food groups?

Lister Rising Star

i only eat like that 2 days out of the week, because of how early i have to get up for work and how early i have to get to bed, on the other 5 days of the week i do eat alot healthyer. the chips are just because i can grab them to munch between orders at work if i start to get my normal hour pains. I also eat rice cakes instead of chips usualy, since all they are is rice

Lister Rising Star

would a gluten-free bread mix be to processed? i was givin a thing of gluten free pantry sandwich bread mix as a gift. I figure if its not to procesed i could use it for like lettece tomatoe and chicken sandwichs and stuff like that so its fast and healthy

as for quiting weed/cigs i am i truly am, u should have seen that list even last week ok. I dont want to go cold turky so instead i am weaning myself away from things, i used to smoke about a half a eight of weed a day now im down to 1 or 2 bowls so i meen thats a dramatic improvement and as for cigs i was up to 15 a day now im down to 7, so i meen yeay im still unhealthy but i am really working on it and i am improving

anyways its 9:42 here and i gotta be up at 4:30 for work so its time for bed, i just wanted to post that really fast so you know that i am working towards everything and i do understand that my lifestyle is exesive on my body and that is why im changing it

hell i have a total gym(not really but its acually bigger it has 2 seperate workstations) in my kitchen (its my roommates really but i use it more then he does- it take sup the entire dining room) so i am working out also, i bike to work everyday and home, and its a fairly steep uphill ride

aikiducky Apprentice

One thing I noticed was that it looks to me like you're not eating very much. How about just trying to eat a bit more at every meal. Two bananas instead of one in the morning? As a short term solution before you figure your diet out...

4:30am wake up get ready for work

5:45am smoke cig

6:46am eat a bannana to help pain

How about putting that banana on a bowl of gluten-free cereal? Or add a slice of gluten-free toast and a hard boiled egg.

7:30am eat enjoy life cocoloco bar

Instead of this try a delmonte fruit cup along with a hard boiled egg or a handfull of gluten-free nuts.

9:47am-lunch break- small amount of homemade chicken along with mision corn tortia and a small serving of lumbarg rice chips

Again add a fruit or some cut up veggies and a gluten-free dip or salad dressing

9:47am take vitemen with lunch (centrum advanced

Have you called the company to make certain this vitamin is gluten-free?

9:55am smoke cig

10:30 take sublinqual b12 vitemen

You may want to take this when you get up instead of towards the end of your day.

12:30pm smoke cig

2pm smoke cig

2:14 eat a small amount of rice chips

Add some raisens or fruit to this

2:30pm smoke 4 bowls-between 4 people(always clean the end of the pipe before hit)

If others are smoking cigs or drinking beer this isn't going to get rid of the chance of CC, get your own new pipe and don't share.

2:45pm finish off lumbarg rice chips wash down with some propel

Once more add something fruity or protein, egg, tuna, nuts etc.

3:00pm smoke cig

4:00pm smoke cig

5:00pm smoke cig

6:00pm smoke cig

6:30pm smoke cig

7:00pm eat dinner (left over chicken with a salad(cucumbers and carrots and roman lettece) and a small serving of mission salsja roja chips

This is your largest meal of the day and with your schedule you may want to eat this at 2:45 instead of a snack and eat your last snack of the day here.

8:00pm smoke cig and small bowl

9:30pm go to bed

Your present diet is very deficeint in protein and in fruits and veggies. You should always try to eat a protein when you eat carbs even if it is only a small handfull of nuts or a spoonfull of peanut butter. Your present diet is diabetes waiting to happen. The protein will help to give you lasting energy throughout the day.

You've made a good start today. I will try to check out some nationwide brands of nuts for you and get back later. I am lucky and live in a state with a Wegmans which really helps as they label all their gluten-free stuff. Do you have a Walmart SuperCenter near you? When my DS was in Wyotech's Mechanics school they were the only place he would shop as they now label all their gluten-free stuff. If you can find 'Enjoy Life' gluten-free granola in a health food store or grocery a 1/4 cup of that with the yogurt on top instead of milk is yummy. Make sure you drink lots of water also. Many of us don't and don't realize that not getting enough water can make us nauseous and headachy by midday.

Lister Rising Star

winco, safeway, albertsons those are what i got around me and fred meyer but they are only good for there gluten free section, but its really small and really really expensive

If you feel like dairy is a risk for you, I would aviod it. People don't need dairy. You do need more protein though. Try to add a little protein to every meal. I would add some peanut butter on the bannana, and get rid of the chocolate bar. It also wouldn't hurt to avoid corn for now. Remember that the Lundberg rice chips have corn in them.

lorka150 Collaborator

lister - why don't you buy nuts in the shell? they will for sure be gluten-free, in that case.

do you want some daily menu ideas? perhaps that will help you... you can organize yourself that way, and then if you're in a rush, you'll already be ready.

Lister Rising Star

ideas would be good yes.

as for corn it does not bother me i already tested it, i went with some basic foods for 4 days felt "fine" besides beeing tired then i had some corn tortie shells and i was fine still and had some the next day and i was fine, but i had some mission salsja roja chips and aparently those upset my stomic, i dont think its the corn it has to be something else in it

as for peanuts like i said, for some reason peanuts make me feel like my throat is tightning and i get light headed so im avoiding them for now. As for nuts in the shell, unfortunatly no place here sells nuts unless its during christmas, so i need canned nuts.. what about blue dimond almonds? there in cans i just figured i would ask since its the same company that makes the gluten free almond milk

9:30am-lunch left over chicken(big breast peace) salad(5 carrots and lettece) 6 mission salsa roja chips(was not able to get to the store for fruit yet)

9:40am- cig

11:45- one enjoy life cookie and half a apple(bite around skin(dont eat the skin does not digest well))

11:55 cig

1:30pm rice cake

more to come, going to the store in a few hours to pick up some fruits and veggies

i was thinking if i make that bread mix i have i could make lettece tomatoe sandwichs, just need to think of like 1 more thing to put into the sandwich

okay, breakfast, nix the chips. add some more vegetables.

instead of the cookie, why not have some nut butter on the apple? or applesauce with some flax mixed in?

instead of the rice cake (no nutritional value), how about a hard boiled egg?

for your sandwich, you eat chicken... or tuna? you can add that.

Okay - just trying to help....

You said the chips upset your stomach, so definitely take those out.

Can you do almond butter? I know you said you don't like the co-op, but can you go there for just a few things?

Can you tolerate garbanzo beans in the form of hummus? How about lentils?

I'm not actually intolerant or allergic to corn, but if I eat it everyday, it starts to make me sick, and the reaction is delayed. I can eat it about once a week, at the most (just a thought).

You can do any kind of meat in the sandwhich. What about tuna?

Hard boiled eggs are a good idea for protein too. They are quick to make and eat and they're inexpensive.

I have trouble with nausea. It often starts when I’m anxious about something (home repairs, sick dog) but continues long after the home is repaired or the dog is healthy again. When it happens I eat less and lose weight.  My gastroenterologist suggested ginger or peppermint tea. I don’t know if that will work or not because I haven't had the problem since she suggested it.
    • Colleen H
Hello  I'm not sure what to think . Seems no matter what I do I get sick. I had some yogurt with only 2 grams of sugar and is labeled gluten free ...the strawberry version seemed to really set me off My jaw is burning as well as my stomach and my feet.  Horrible pain..plus acid reflux and nausea... sensitivity to touch pain. ..yikes !! I don't know if it's from the lactose in the yogurt or if I'm getting an ulcer  This condition can make you question yourself quite a bit.  Then if you are not sure the anxiety comes 😞 Does any of these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? The neuropathy is quite intense.  What do you eat or drink after this happens  Open to suggestions  Thank you
    • sleuth
Of course my son is on a 100% gluten free diet.  I wish his symptoms were not debilitating as there are right now.  He cannot work, even when a miniscule of cross contamination occurs.  It's not just GI distress, but intense fatigue, brain fog, depression, anxiety, insomnia, etc.  It's literally neurological inflammation.  Not to be taken lightly here.  We have sought out many other possible ways to cope during this window of time (8 months!!!!)  without success.   AN-PEP does not help and seems like studies on this are not well researched.  So, we are trying this out because research shows some promising results.  And, all participants showed no cravings afterwards, no signs of addiction.  The patch is different than the oral route such as smoking, vaping, gum, pouch, etc.
    • Scott Adams
Have you tried AN-PEP enzymes, for example, GlutenX (who is a sponsor here)? A lot of research has shown that it can break down small amounts of gluten in the stomach, before it reaches the intestines. It might be a better approach than risking nicotine addiction, and the questionable research around this. I also hope that he’s trying to be 100% Gluten-Free.
    • Me,Sue
Hi all  I was diagnosed Coeliac a few years ago and follow a gluten free diet. The list of foods that I can eat without a problem grows shorter on a weekly basis. [I also have diabetes and asthma also].  BUT the reason I am posting this is because I seem to struggle with nausea quite a lot, which is really quite debilitating, and I was wondering if others suffer from nausea, even if following a gluten free diet.
