we brought tianna home on thursday. she looks so good. i guess i didn't realize how thin and sick she had looked before. we still haven't worked out the bedroom arrangements----we don't have enough bedrooms, so elliot may be in a cubby-hole, of sorts-----fortunately, he thinks this is great and is pretty excited about it. i need a little more of his eight-year-old optimism.

That's great to hear that Tianna is home and is doing so well. Glad you got through the hospital mix up. I bet she's happy to back with family again too.

YAY!!!!!!! :D:D:D

My boys didn't want their bedroom ... they wanted a corner of the basement. We live in a quirky old house, and their bedroom is off the dining room, so it makes a very nice TV room! I'm happy to have the space, and they're very please with their corner of our 90 year old basement -- that's mostly dry!! :D Boys have different standards for judging appropriate places to live!

Chrissy, that's fabulous, you have your family together again. I am glad Tianna looks well. And as for Elliott, hey, a cubbyhole is perfect, it can be a cave, the belly of a big ship (and he the stowaway), a dungeon.........sounds pretty exciting to me!

Nantzie Collaborator

Ooo... A stowaway... So much fun! Make him a sword out of cardboard and you've got a 2-month hyper-focus onto pirates and swashbucking.

Chrissy-

That's great! I pray this is a real turning point for her!

I'm glad your daughter home again. . . I've seen your other posts and I'm glad she's doing so well. And, hey, my daughters are always hoping we'll move into a house with a "Harry Potter" room under the stairs . . . I'm not surprised your son thinks that would be cool, too!

TCA Contributor

I thought you of you and Tianna many times last week while away for Meg's surgery. I'm so glad she's back and doing better. Still praying for both of you!

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
