Emily, I have decided that most people (especially the newbies) will look at your av and think it is all Celiac related . . . "Oh, that poor soul, a photo of her glutened and laying on the bathroom floor. Somebody put some absinthe in her Laurentians. I'll have to check allrecipes.com for a recipe for Laurentians and add absinthe to the list of ingredients that I need to look out for . . . "

YES! I have noticed that Susie is quite a chameleon, always looking different in each av. Always quite lovely though! :)

Or, they'll think that absinthe is one of those hidden sources of gluten that appears on ingredient lists. I found some absinthe in the Laurentians sounds like a warning, particularly with a pic of me as a wasted shell lying by the toilet. I found it, and look what it did to me. Stay away from Laurentians, or make certain it is absinthe-free!

Yes, it definitely looks like it could be a bad glutening experience! I would certainly want to stay away from whatever put you in that state! Well except for the fact that I really would like to sample some absinthe.

I actually had some of this, as well, a few years ago, given to me by my best and craziest friend. It seemed like such a waste, cooking and eating something that was so shockingly hilarious. I wondered about donating it to the kids' kindergarten class for macaroni picture art projects....but I figured that the school staff may not have the same sense of humour as I, and Children's Aid may be notified.....

Now - - Kissey arrives in various vehicles. The Jetta, the motorcycle, Ford Expedition from work, and now today, a rental car (Phord Phocus) as Jetta is in the shop. So now - my neighbors probably just think I'm a ho'. :lol:

Mornin', Sillies!

Gawd, such frenetic priaptic humour yesterday, and well into the wee hours! And it all began with Bev's vaginal sofa. Would anyone really be comfortable (mentally, at least) sitting on/in that thing? More ergonomically acceptable than a penis chesterfield, I suppose....

      Not necessarily. The "Gluten Free" label means not more than 20ppm of gluten in the product which is often not enough for super sensitive celiacs. You would need to be looking for "Certified Gluten Free" (GFCO endorsed) which means no more than 10ppm of gluten. Having said that, "Gluten Free" doesn't mean that there will necessarily be more gluten than "Certified...

      I think it is wise to seek a second opinion from a GI doc and to go on a gluten free diet in the meantime. The GI doc may look at all the evidence, including the biopsy report, and conclude you don't need anything else to reach a dx of celiac disease and so, there would be no need for a gluten challenge. But if the GI doc does want to do more testing, you...

I wish I had known of this at the time of her diagnosis, life would have been much easier.  I hope you are able to figure out.

But if the GI doc does want to do more testing, you can worry about the gluten challenge at that time. But between now and the time of the appointment, if your symptoms improve on a gluten free diet, that is more evidence. Just keep in mind that if a gluten challenge is called for, the bare minimum challenge length is two weeks of the daily consumption of at least 10g of gluten, which is about the amount found in 4-6 slices of wheat bread. But, I would count on giving it four weeks to be sure.
