I have safely managed to NOT buy a puppy today, so far.

and BTW I'm so glad the trash was picked up yesterday, the stench of rotting carcasses in there was just getting embarrassing.

but soooooooooooooozieeeeeeeeeee that's no fun!! go buy one!! :D

   what was the grand total??

awesome!! just found out how to do a spoiler

:P and i love how it just works around the smileys ;)

oh and if any of u are jewish, HAPPY YOM KIPPUR!! (there's another color associated w/judaism, right?? is it gold?)

Is that a burgling bugler or bugling burglar?

Pffft! :P This from the one who goes to bed at ....9sumfin?

Soooooooo, my interview was a breeze, as expected. I'm horrendously overqualified, almost even on a slow-brain day.

But part-time is all I'm ready to try.

Not sure when I'll hear back, but should get a better idea tomorrow. :)

it's a burgling bugler of course! ...... unless he's routinely burgling from Wall-Mart... :o *dashes off to check his pockets*

pffft urself!!! puhleezze :P *stereotypical teenage-girl attitude* i don't go to bed until 11:30! what about u? :P

and oh by the way, one does not "pffft" at his queen!

hooray! :D congrats!

Patti - Yes, Judith (I LOVE when you call her that) has a mean cat, I think........or is it just aloof? quite a difference, methinks.......but I'm pretty sure that Nikerler has a mean, intolerant cat also......

Aloof my arse........... The damn cats tries to eat me alive

so much for our 'rescue' cat..............:ph34r: I'll pay to ship him to ya.......you want a kitty don't you?

I know Judith's cat bites.....poor woman has to be mighty carephul in the middle of the night.

Maybe tomorrow I'll mosey on up to the PC upstairs and try the new phun psymbols. :D

I'll send some photos with the blood running down Jim's arm next time if i have time before i have to find the turequet. :P

 I guess so, and a perfectly good reason it is to buy one!

I'm wichya Sooz--I'd pay darn near anything for the perfect hair product. I looked into Ouidad, and a lot of it contains gluten. Wheat must have some kinda magical effect on hair  cause it's in just about all the products I'm interested in.

Basically what it's come down to now is something that lathers and doesn't make me sick <_<

Me too, or three. If I found something that tamed this mane I would drop, well pretty much any amount (within reason  )

Bummer on the Ouidad <_< , Susie peaked my interest in it.....I read something about the wheat protein smoothing out the curly hair shaft er cuticle er sumfin, which is what we curly haired want, smoothness!!

I am forever looking for the right product

It has been a busy day, and when I phinally got on here, there was much catching up to do.

I hope I remember all the questions I need to respond to.

For those having trouble with Alt-7 et cetera, make sure that the <num lock> is on. If it isn't, strange things may happen. When num lock is off, the 7 on a the keypad is <home>. Some browsers (including Firefox) interpret <alt><home> as meaning, "get out of wherever I am, and take me to my home page." If you do this by accident, your <back> key or button will unto it.

Laptop and notebook users can access this functionality, but it is a bit awkward. Your numeric keypad is overlaid on the built-in keyboard. When activated, the keypad is formed by the keys 789/UIO/JKL/M becoming 789/456/123/0 respectively. Activation may vary on some models, but on most the toggle is <shift><scroll lock>. Activate the keypad, hold <alt> and type the number for the character, release <alt>. Enter more extended character codes, if desired, and the hit <shift><scroll lock> again to return to normal. On my ThinkPad, a light with the digit 1q inside an arrow is lit when the keypad is active.

I don't know where Emily's cursor went. Maybe Gus ate it when she wasn't looking.

My contribution to the menagerie is five cats in all, three at home and two at the store, and one fish. Each of the cats has, at some time or another been my avatar. Our fish is camera shy, and has never been photographed.

I'm outa here again--the season premiere of CSI is on in five minutes. :)

Excessive dietary tyrosine can cause problems.  Everything in moderation.   Sulfites can also trigger migraines. Sulfites are found in fermented, pickled and aged foods, like cheese.  Sulfites cause a high histamine release.  High histamine levels are found in migraine.  Following a low histamine diet like the low histamine Autoimmune Protocol diet, a Paleo diet, helps immensely.    Sulfites and other migraine trigger foods can cause changes in the gut microbiome.  These bad bacteria can increase the incidence of migraines, increasing histamine and inflammation leading to increased gut permeability (leaky gut), SIBO, and higher systemic inflammation.   A Ketogenic diet can reduce the incidence of migraine.  A Paleo diet like the AIP diet, that restricts carbohydrates (like from starchy vegetables) becomes a ketogenic diet.  This diet also changes the microbiome, eliminating the bad bacteria and SIBO that cause an increase in histamine, inflammation and migraine.  Fewer bad bacteria reduces inflammation, lowers migraine frequency, and improves leaky gut. Since I started following the low histamine ketogenic AIP paleo diet, I rarely get migraine.  Yes, I do eat carbs occasionally now, rice or potato, but still no migraines.  Feed your body right, feed your intestinal bacteria right, you'll feel better.  Good intestinal bacteria actually make your mental health better, too.  I had to decide to change my diet drastically in order to feel better all the time, not just to satisfy my taste buds.  I chose to eat so I would feel better all the time.  I do like dark chocolate (a migraine trigger), but now I can indulge occasionally without a migraine after.   Microbiota alterations are related to migraine food triggers and inflammatory markers in chronic migraine patients with medication overuse headache https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11546420/

Then we would need to cut out all meat and fish as they are richer sources of tyrosine than nuts and cheese. Something else about certain tyrosine rich foods must be the actual culprit.
    • Scott Adams
I agree that KAN-101 looks promising, and hope the fast track is approved. From our article below: "KAN-101 shows promise as an immune tolerance therapy aiming to retrain the immune system, potentially allowing safe gluten exposure in the future, but more clinical data is needed to confirm long-term effects."
    • Scott Adams
Thank you so much for having the courage to share this incredibly vivid and personal experience; it's a powerful reminder of how physical ailments can disrupt our fundamental sense of self. What you're describing sounds less like a purely psychological body dysmorphia and more like a distinct neurological event, likely triggered by the immense physical stress and inflammation that uncontrolled celiac disease can inflict on the entire body, including the nervous system. It makes complete sense that the specific sensory input—the pressure points of your elbows on your knees—created a temporary, distorted body map in your brain, and the fact that it ceased once you adopted a gluten-free diet is a crucial detail. Your intuition to document this is absolutely right; it's not "crazy" but rather a significant anecdotal data point that underscores the mysterious and far-reaching ways gluten can affect individuals. Your theory about sensory triggers from the feet for others is also a thoughtful insight, and sharing this story could indeed be validating for others who have had similar, unexplainable sensory disturbances, helping them feel less alone in their journey.
    • Scott Adams
The most common nutrient deficiencies associated with celiac disease that may lead to testing for the condition include iron, vitamin D, folate (vitamin B9), vitamin B12, calcium, zinc, and magnesium.  Unfortunately many doctors, including my own doctor at the time, don't do extensive follow up testing for a broad range of nutrient deficiencies, nor recommend that those just diagnosed with celiac disease take a broad spectrum vitamin/mineral supplement, which would greatly benefit most, if not all, newly diagnosed celiacs. Because of this it took me decades to overcome a few long-standing issues I had that were associated with gluten ataxia, for example numbness and tingling in my feet, and muscle knots--especially in my shoulders an neck. Only long term extensive supplementation has helped me to resolve these issues.
