We should add to the Official Text Warning at the top of each Psillyville page that this can happen anywhere, not just in front of one's computer, as it does with me when I'm thinking about some hilarious thang a Psilly has said that morning, and I'm lined up at the ATM machine, or during my physical, or sitting at our old neighboUr's funeral last fall (funerals are particularly dangerous, and should get special mention). . . . ....

:rolleyes::lol:

I wanna kitteh that does this! My two cats are lovely, but no longer fun in that crazed way that kittens are...... .. ..

Gad. No more cats. No more cats. Must keep reppeating this. . . . ..

Tareeeeseee! You need a kitteh!! Actually, we don't know yer pet situation, do we? Are you a dog person? Gad, you'd best be 'round here. . . .. .....

:D

Yeah....I catch myself mentally re-running posts from here and smirking. I can see where phunerals would be a bad place to do that :D

You probably could tell that I love animals of ALL kinds. Used to be in love with the idea of having a BIIIIG CAT!!! A sleek panther.....white tiger.....

I have had several dogs over the years. My house in NY somehow got to be a "dropoff" point for animals.....or they somehow knew to show up on my porch. Acquired several dogs and cats that way. I have ALWAYS had cats...for as long as I can remember. After Hubby and I started living together, we only had one old cat...and when she passed hubby didn't want any more pets. Partly for reasons that "someday" we'd be doing more traveling, and partly because some of his family members are severly allergic. Now we are petless, and family can come to stay and visit. Sometimes it's ok, but I very often miss them.

ANYWAY....I've been over in Da BOOK playing. I need to go back and continue to view photos. I've started some albums too.

GJiannet....I didn't say thanks for looking up that post (dropping the kids off at the pool ...aaaaaaahahahaaha). I KNOW why others don't look things up.....THEY know that you will go ahead and do it. I've seen this happen several times here.....someone mentions something....someone else picks up on it....they wait 'till you jump in and dig up the appropriate spot!:lol: It's human nature to take advantage sometimes......not out of laziness or meanness...it just happens. ;)

Good luck decorating your muffins with cat bits! Watch out for any stray hairballs.

Tareeeeesuh!! Some of your in-laws are severely allergic!! C'mon, girl, get yerself a couple of persian cats and a English sheepdog!! Oops... . . well, if MY in-laws were constantly visiting, 'twould be my early acquisitions. . . . . . .

Happy Friday Sills :D

It's Oscar weekend, will anybody be watching Sunday besides me????

Oh! Oh! If anyone is gonna post a Lost spoiler, can you warn me so I skip that part? We wait til the season comes out on DVD (Blu-ray, no less!) and then just have a whole week of intense Lost-ness. I would never be able to watch it on TV, much too much suspense. I like to be able to screech WHAT!?!?!!? and then flip to the next episode. It would affect my quality of life to keep up... really.....

Will do Bunnie....although Patti and I don't usually give specifics, just.... Did you watch? Yeah I thought it was great....too much LOST brain overload the next day me thinks

Oh so you think MOO HOO AHH HA HA!!!!!!!

Oh Bevvy poo, you know how much I LOVE you

I realize the errors of my ways, I just simply did not go back far enough to see your darling cute as pie avatar. I saw that on The Book, the sweetest little whippersnapper that anyone has ever seen

Cutting things a little close for comfort, perhaps? It's been a slice.

 Peter, you were cracking me up with your posts yesterday!!

Hey, how does Jacquie like CSI without Grissom? And his repleacement LF? Or Jacquie if you are out there reading along feel free to answer......

Michelle sits in sixth....Brent Sass pulled out at the last stop, for "strategic reasons"........:huh: .... .. Um, how in hell is pulling out of the race going to strategically put him in a better situation to win??

 Excellent!!! Go Michelle!

"Sinking the Bismark", "Contemplating the Universe", "Leaving a Calling Card"

This is quite typical....there should be a warning at the top of this thread saying that this likely to occur

So true! I always am LOLing when reading youse guys's posts, good thing nobody else is around or I would just look like a nutcase

Or wait now......here's a thought.......if a Silly is laughing out loud in a forrest can you hear them and are they in fact nuts?? Something to ponder.

The Ripper has a PD day today, and when I just came in he was watching the end of The Price is Right. OMG.. . ......now, this is a show that I have not seen in probably twenty years. I CANNOT believe how it just is not the same thing a 'tall without Bob Barker. I mean, that man WAS The Price is Right. Why would they even attempt to continue this legacy without the Great Bob?? I like Drew Carey, but c'mon, he is NO BOB BARKER.

I need to start a movement er sumfin .. . . . ...

Em, what is a PD??

I know what you mean about the PIR. How scary is it though the set looks the same? I haven't watched it since the 70s either (twas me Grandma's favorite show and we had to watch it daily when visiting) and then I caught it a couple years back and it was like being stuck in a time warp! Same set, same games. Barker didn't even look all that different.

Getting ready for Skeeter's birthday party sleepover . . . starts tomorrow at 3pm. I'm going to have the girls decorate cupcakes in a cat theme. Been doing my research and am now headed off to go buy edible cat parts . . . :o . . . I mean, candy.

 Janet......not the furry peanuts though, right?!?!

But what a very cute creative idea for the girls!!

Happy B-day to Skeeter!!

Hey, how does Jacquie like CSI without Grissom? And his repleacement LF? Or Jacquie if you are out there reading along feel free to answer......

Well CSI would be even better if we had more Nick :) but in all seriousness I'm liking the show. Billy Petersen was and is good as Grissom but I can see he was getting tired of the show. The other actors were getting stagnant in their characters. There was nowhere for them to go while Grissom was still there. This way with Laurence Fishburne's character, Ray Langston learning the ropes you get the other characters branching out. Nick becomes a teacher and a very good teacher at that. Catherine get to be the supervisor and as long as she's doesn't turn back into super b***h like she was in season 5 she'll go a good job. Greg probably wouldn't have become a CSI level 3 if Grissom had stay. So there's a lot of good that has come with Grissom leaving. I also think there will be more science and less romance. Gawd I can't stand GSR, Grissom Sara Romance.

Now you're probably wishing you'd never asked the question

Oh, c'mon, you guys.....just let me dream, puleeeeeese..........it is ME. I was seven months old, my mom had me out in the backyard on a blankie in the sun, and the way the light hit my eyes made her jump up and expclaim, "Oh! What a gorgeous li'l face!! Must get my camera!!" And she caught the moment, me gurgling and cooing, big eyes staring in wonder, little pouty mouth smiling tentatively. .. . ...

<_<

Okay. Dunno who that baby is. Just a gorgeous face that WAS IN THE LAST LITTLE PEWTER FRAME I BOUGHT AT ZELLERS.:angry:

I saved it for just such an occasion.

'Tis so true......the same sets, wheel, price-tag thingies that were there in the early 70's. . . . .....heelarrus.....but NO BOB.

When The Ripper first joined Da Book, one of the first groups he joined was "Fans of Bob Barker". Think I will go and join meself. . . . . ...

Is Skeeter's boifday today? Tonight? Happy Birthday, Skeets!!

I asked me mum for a baby pic too, will see what is unearthed.

Posted some pics on Da Book. Looking through all of my pictures got me feeling really meloncholy! Maybe it's not such a great idea, looking at my sons baby pics and the ones of pets that are no longer with us. Got me thinking about how much I miss kittehs cuddling. Sigh.

Hi Suessle! When I am absolutely desperate for chocolate, I make the brownie in a cup. I think someone posted the recipe here some time ago...gluten-free of course. Really good if you scoop vanilla frozen yogurt on top while it's still warm!!! <:mmmmmmdrooolyface:> I've come to the conclusion that "real chocolate" may have to be out of my diet for a while.

Psuessly' Kitteh shredding papers! As long as they're not impotent papers! :P

Papers that can't reproduce???.......this would be a good thing, cuz we all know that papers have a habit of doing this! :P

Still plan on getting baby pics up.......depends on hubby's ability to solve the problem with the scanner........thinks it's cuz he needs to disable the virus protection, but doesn't know how.

I went home from work today and slept most of the day....heinous dizziness and nausea.......Best I can figure, I woke up with a stiff neck, and that was the start of it all.

So I'm almost back to normal, but no appetite, and only slightly off-balance at times.........should be in good shape for dancing by Sunday! :D

I used to looove little girl birthday parties!.......often did a craft project......sand casting, bead rings, rubber stamping........once I just let them loose with my old makeup

Tareeeeesuh!! YOU NEED A KITTEH! A hypo-allergenic one.....you should research the Devon Rex....an absolutely beautiful little cat, within the siamese family, but it has wavy, poodle-liike hair (honestly!) and does not bother most who are allergic to cat/dog hair. They are wondrous little creatures:

This is definitely not a good thing. The process is complex, and disk storage is complex. You are getting far enough that the lowest level, the BIOS, is recognizing your hard drive at the physical level, and can read the boot sector from it. But then it finds a problem with either the partition table (divides the single physical disk into one or more logical disks), or the root directory on the first logical disk (drive C:).

You need more help than I can give you via remote messages here.

Do you have another computer that runs the same version of Windows? By version I mean XP, Vista or another, older, version? Or, do you have alternate boot media, such as a diskette, that was created from your laptop? For the first level of troubleshooting, you will need to be able to boot from an alternate source.

Dang......did it again and yeah I should admit I am 63 with clumsy phone thumbs. I started feeling better quickly and a doctor a year later said I had to eat  poison (gluten) every day for a month so he could formally diagnose me and NO FREAKING WAY. I couldn't then and can't imagine putting my body through that crap (no pun intended) on purpose ever again.  Why ingest poison for a month to have some doctor say Hey, All you Have To Do Is Never Eat poison Again..

15 years ago my best friend 'diagnosed' me as Celiac. Her little nephew had been formally diagnosed and her observations of me dealing with brain fog, stomach problems and other stuff had her convincing me to try going gluten free. Oh my heavens, within 3 days, no lie, I felt human again. Took me about a y

It seems like you have two choices--do a proper gluten challenge and get re-tested, or just go gluten-free because you already know that it is gluten that is causing your symptoms. In order to screen someone for celiac disease they need to be eating gluten daily, a lot of it--they usually recommend at least 2 slices of wheat bread daily for 6-8 weeks before a blood screening, and at least 2 weeks before an endoscopy (a colonoscopy is no used to diagnose celiac disease). Normally the blood panel is your first step, and if you have ANY positive results there for celiac disease the next step would be to take biopsies of your villi via an endoscopy given by a gastroenterologist.  More info on the blood tests and the gluten challenge beforehand is below: The article includes the "Mayo Clinic Protocol," which is the best overall protocol for results to be ~98% accurate. Here is more info about how to do a gluten challenge for a celiac disease blood panel, or for an endoscopy: and this recent study recommends 4-6 slices of wheat bread per day:   Not to discourage you from a formal diagnosis, but once you are diagnosed it may lead to higher life and medical insurance rates (things will be changing quickly in the USA with the ACA starting in 2026), as well as the need to disclose it on job applications. While I do think it's best to know for sure--especially because all of your first degree relatives should also get screened for it--I also want to disclose some negative possibilities around a formal diagnosis that you may want to also consider.
    • Wheatwacked
Yes.  Now, if you hit your finger with a hammer once, wouldn't you do your best not to do it again?  You have identified a direct connection between gluten and pain.  Gluten is your hammer.  Now you have to decide if you need a medical diagnosis.  Some countries have aid benefits tgat you can get if you have the diagnosis, but you must continue eating a gluten-normal diet while pursuing the diagnosis. Otherwise the only reason to continue eating gluten is social. There are over 200 symptoms that could be a result of celiac disease.. Celiac Disease and Non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity  both cause multiple vitamin and mineral deficiency.  Dealing with that should help your recovery, even while eating gluten.  Phosphatidyl Choline supplements can help your gut if digesting fats is a problem,  Consider that any medications you take could be causing some of the symptoms, aside from gluten.
