but..........i'm hopeful.

Dance was nice.....not as many people as we had hoped, but there was another dance going on elsewhere in town that night. But moneywise it went pretty good, cuz there were also donations from people who didn't show......dance phobia or summat. We'll be sending it all to Nathan.

Had me private lesson today and may go dancing again tomorrow....it's our usual club night.

Hip replacement......FIL had one of those recently.....he's a new man, running even, at 80+ yrs old!

Breakfast table flasher........had one of those when the kids were small. Never actually saw anything. he would always be covered with a_little hand towel or what I swear looked like women's beige underwear.

Nik, let's face it, honey--turning 40 sucks in a big 'cosmic scheme of things' sort of way. BUT, by forty you've been heartbroken, disappointed, disillusioned, knocked down, or fired or received any other number of life beatings and are fully immersed in the reality of losing your youthful ideals. I think you entered your prime at 30, so if you're not feeling the "I am woman, hear me roar" yet--you're probly not gonna. What you will hear are your knees, your hormones, your peeps saying "But you still look good" with that condescending look in their eyes. Just think, you're only halfway there and the fun hasn't even started!!!

Actually, I agree--turning 40 is a rite of passage. Our generation seems to have done it with more youthfulness and vigor than any before--40 is the new 30, don't you know? At 40, I really don't care about all that 'stuff' that tormented me through my teens and twenties, and have faced the reality of the goals I still had to chase in my 30's. I am happy with who I am and want only to be the person my daughter believes me to be

But, I will harrass the heck out of you that day anyway, cuz it's just such fun!!!

Ah-h-h sills--it's cool and crisp here this morning I have me winders open--it's so nice to turn off the a/c and have some real air in here fer a change. We're on the third floor, so we have needed to run it day and night.

Went to Pei Wei yesterday fer lunch (since they're a "sister" company to PF Changs, me phave)--they have a small gluten-free menu but the phood was good (sweet and sour chicken) and no ill after effects! How sad when the sign of a good meal is when it doesn't make you sick??

We've run into a huge snag wif the house we're planning to have built They would have broken ground this week, but now it may be back to the drawing board......stupid developer Ah well, say la vee
