We had a big auction of the stuff we didn't want, kept too much of what we thought we did. Good golly, what a burden it became so we had another auction!!! :lol:

Sorry I've been away so long.

I just read this page and haven't read any pages before for soooooooooooooooooo long.

I was so down but seem to be better as a new med seems to be working.

Seeing a Dr. who knows his meds.

I'm so sensitive my internist was leery to try anything else new.

I've finally stopped 'spinning' and can focus on living and actually can get things accomplished

Porch is finally finished but the contractors still haven't been back to finish in 3 weeks. The counters are in however. Getting closets all cleaned out. Just taking a task a day and having the 'panic' feelings i did before.

I was even able to gather my mind and inner strength and fly to Ohio for my 50th HS reunion.

It was so nice to see all my old friends. I graduated in a class of 123 and 25 of us are in a 12 years club as we went from 1-12 th grade all together.

It was a small very close class.

Funny, the men seem to age so much more than the women..................IMO

It was worth the trip even tho coming home...........i went to the airport and waited through 5 plane cancellations..........finally i had to take a cab and go back to my brothers for an extra nite.

I so enjoyed staying with my brother and his wife.

Got to see my 93 year old uncle at his farm in the hocking hills. I seem to find my inner core when I go to his log cabin where there are so many family memories.

Then got to see my cousin who who near death on Good Friday but got a liver transplant and we saw her in rehab. She on the faculty at OSU hospital. All the Dr's were pulling for her so i'm sure that helped.

Judy, good luck with the new meds., and the with renovations and house hunting. You have so much on your plate, and yet amazingly, you have given up smoking and got this terrible monkey off your back. You go girl!!!! You are an inspiration to me

Loved to read about your uncle's farm. Tradition and beginnings are very important. It really struck me this weekend that even though we've only been going to the cottage for 16-17 years, it is sooo much a part of our lives. My in-laws almost can't keep it up anymore--they had to sell the boat But, we will enjoy every minute of it as long as we can. It's on Houghton Lake--the largest inland lake in Michigan.

I am as well a member of the screwed-up ankle/feet fraternity.

Since much of my dad's TV wardrobe is sitting unused in storage at the house, I've often thought that it should be worn - - seems like a waste of some very sophisticated costumes, still perfectly good. I should probably look through it all, and wear the sumo wrestler body, thong and wig to the wedding.

Or the German Prison Commandant . . .....or the complete Dame Edna ensemble (Dad's name was Bernice when he was portraying her)...... . . ..or the incredible drunken lo-life, complete with filthy, rolled-up foam mattress pad tied to the back.

I would love to wear one of these. I think heads may turn when I enter the church, and our bride would not be amused.

OR: Why not bring the costumes into the hospital, and help my dad get into them, a new one each day?

I have found the gluten free betty crocker mixes and all I can say is Sweet! The cookies were so amazing and they stayed soft! Friday I made the brownies but I mixed in the cookie mix too so they Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownies....to die for! The price for each box- 3.59. Decent compared to the 6.99 I used to pay for the GFP truffle brownie mix.

Go Betty We could all sure use some help with the cost, eh?

I picked strawberries today...yum, yum!!! It's the end of the season so I didn't get but half what we picked last year. I will probably only freeze 5 qts.....but we'll enjoy the heck out of the rest while fresh! 'Tis rainy, showery here...looks like it will be this way for several days. Had to pick in the rain, but that's ok. I didn't melt.....not one pound!

Fishes in the pond are fat and happy! I think they've about doubled in size! So kool! I need more pond plants.....I think I may try to find some near the creek....cheaper that way!

Families are tough- my dad had a family of 9 kids (he had 5 sisters and 3 bothers) and only one brother he got along with. My dad was the youngest and by the time he was 25 he had no idea where one sister was, didn't speak to 2 of his 3 brothers and it only degenerated from there. My sister and i never understood why but in the last two years he has told us some stories that would make your hair stand on end (including suspected murder). Very very sad.

Many reflections and questions on this summer evening in sillyville!

I, as usual, took the intellectual route and watched the finale of The Real Housewives of NJ.

OMG sillies--no lie.....Mark and I were riding in the car at around 4PM and the outside thermometer read 103!! This is insane.....actually what's insane is the when we got out of the car in that heat, it was definitely hot , but the real proof that my blood must already be thinning is that 3 hours later when we came out of our appointment, it was 97 and I said--gee, it's so much more comfortable now

NIknik....

I got rid of NOrtonN a long time ago!!!! We use PC cillin and love it!!! Would never condone opening the door to NorTonN, as you never know what he'll do or when!!! Steals time, money, mental clarity in your dealings wif him....likes to play head games on you...not a nice character at all...as you so sadly know now Hope your new friend deals with you kindly.

Has been pouring down steady rain all day....looks like more of the same all night and tomorrow. I'm hoping that it'll clear out by then because I want to go exploring and hopefully do some hiking! It can rain all it wants at night....but this all-day stuff is depressing. I sit down to study...but have to keep waking up to turn the pages!
