Pad Thai.......you must be getting SOOO excited!! You're getting a landscape package too? Fabulous! Hope you can post a pic for us to see!

Never really met Sven.....as a "playmate".....but most of my jobs have been SuperSven....long days of blood, sweat, tears....agony so glorious! Seem to have misplaced a lot of muscle in the last coupla years.....has someone here found it anywhere? <_< Maybe Sven has it!

Gloomy, gloomy day here today. Can't seem to find the ambition to get much done! Except some F Booking (hah!) Still far behind, there. Maybe I'll drown my sparrows sorrows in a book and blankie.....hmmmm....some tea would go good with that. I bought myself some strawberry -vanilla - rose tea for my boithday! Had to send away for it and it got here yesterday! Mmmmmmm.

"It's my party and I'll cry if I want to, cry if I want to , cry if I want to. You would cry too if it happened to you" (Don't know why this stuck in my head...but there it is!)

T--your tea sounds so good!! I'm on a vanilla caramel tea kick--every afternoon. Have to stop drinking it by 4 or so or I can't sleep

It's a gloomy overcast day here, but not too hot. After such a hot and sunny summer, this is nice. :D

The builder put up a pic of the house this morning on the site--port-a-potty, trees and all  I'll see if I can somehow get it up on here. Or maybe I can email it......

flourgirl Apprentice

I've been drinking Vanilla carmel tea, too. It's great hot! Tried to make cold tea with it but it didn't taste very good that way. I make big jugs of tea for cold drinks at work.....pretty much have stopped the diet soda thing. Love diet vanilla coke/pepsi...but it gives me a terrible belly-ache. Anyway.....love the vanilla teas. If you can find the strawberry-vanilla-rose you should give it a try! It's like heaven in a cup! Mmmmmm :D

<---------OMG--I did it :D The site of the phuture Psyllie Summit!!

The sod is going in today--I thought they did a really good job wif all the trees and shrubs. There's another big magnolia on the left side that isn't in the pic and an oak on the right that I had to cut out to get the pic to upload. I wanna keep the pretty blue outdoor potty--maybe move it to the backyard......

flourgirl Apprentice

Pad - Thai.....your house is so beautiful!!! And yes.....you must keep the pretty blue port-a-potty. It sort of off-sets the colors in your house.....kinda sets an ambience for the place. Perhaps you could put some hanging flower baskets on it to blend in with the landscaping! Have you already mentally placed all of your furniture and belongings? Wish we could all organize a moving in/settling in Psilly Psummit with you! :D Then again....maybe we wouldn't get much work done.

New avs! New avs!

Patteigh, your feet were gorgeous - - but your new house is STUPENDOUS! :) So exciting...... . ...I think you should leave the porta potty right where it is until after the Psummit, as there will be, what, twelve or so houseguests with digestive issues hanging about. We will need all the toilets you can provide.... .. .....

Phloozie, you could NOT have hit the nail more precisely on the head.<_<

<I HAVE been making some jewelry, however>

Ya know, yer phootz are lookin mighty fine tonight. Maybe it's cause my head has been in a big pot for quite sometime now. Since the 60's, when I named my first born Sember. No wonder I'm so wrinkled up and pruned -faced.

First off, I loved Louise Nevelson- not her art, but her face. When I was 18, I wanted to look like her. Now that I do, I want plastic surjury. And it's out.

Speaking of sturgeons, Can a get a neck shortening? And, can this really replace caviar? It's a long roe to hoe. And, I am the hoe to hoe that row.

I am so tired from my head being in pot for so long, and I NEED some frosted brownies. Em- you want to draw Doc Swuuss That's where my art supplies should go. Maybe this is a sign for you to become an artist, and sooz and sleez to become corporate magots. And Petravinski and Jesskolnikov could join my son and poor dead Annie being smart at Yale. Jezibel should continue doing molecular stuff, but concentrate on the nutational rate. Bunzafire- bake some brownies. Send them to me, post haste. Jagnut, Pity, poTOMac....I have to go POTTY. Later

Was dreamin of the 1 ripe watermelon in my garden, have been watchin it daily, discovered last night that it was ripe for the pickin, wanted-foolishly-to wait till morning to pik it fresh for work to find that some mofo in the middle of the night STOLE MY MELON!!!:angry: It's not like I have melons comin out my arse, cuz that would probably be painful... I only have-had-5, now I'm down to 4 little ones which probly won't ripen. Flash fwd, boys at work, SOMEONE STOLE HER MELONS-LET"S SEE!!!

Ate a pear for breakfast, made a comment about my "bruised pear" boys at work-"THOUGHT SOMEONE STOLE HER MELONS- LET ME SEE THE BRUISED PAIR!!"

Ate a peach for a snack in the afternoon, talked to our equipment rep for a minute before realizing I had peach stuck in my front teeth--that was the last straw-boys at work rolling on floor laughing-"SHE'S GOT PEACH IN HER TEETH" Even I had to laugh at that one!

Dirty dirty boys

I say send Al to the staff member's house for the weekend. She needs to understand the full extent of the poo crime she has committed.

Lyle is feeling much better wi'out his teef. They left the front ones, so he still looks cute when he smiles, but all the back teeth got pulled. After the first day home he started feeling better. He still gets pain meds, because I don't want him to feel bad, but he doesn't act as if he needs them.

This morning he whined and whined about going out, then to spite me went to hide under the bed, where he promptly started snoring.

I'll let him out when he wakes up, but for the moment I'm happy that he's sleeping well in a safe place.

Hello, @asaT, I'm curious to know whether you are taking other B vitamins like Thiamine B1 and Niacin B3.  Malabsorption in Celiac disease affects all the water soluble B vitamins and Vitamin C.  Thiamine and Niacin are required to produce energy for all the homocysteine lowering reactions provided by Folate, Cobalamine and Pyridoxine.   Weight gain with a voracious appetite is something I experienced while malnourished.  It's symptomatic of Thiamine B1 deficiency.   Conversely, some people with thiamine deficiency lose their appetite altogether, and suffer from anorexia.  At different periods on my lifelong journey, I suffered this, too.   When the body doesn't have sufficient thiamine to turn food, especially carbohydrates, into energy (for growth and repair), the body rations what little thiamine it has available, and turns the carbs into fat, and stores it mostly in the abdomen.  Consuming a high carbohydrate diet requires additional thiamine to process the carbs into energy.  Simple carbohydrates (sugar, white rice, etc.) don't contain thiamine, so the body easily depletes its stores of Thiamine processing the carbs into fat.  The digestive system communicates with the brain to keep eating in order to consume more thiamine and other nutrients it's not absorbing.   One can have a subclinical thiamine insufficiency for years.  A twenty percent increase in dietary thiamine causes an eighty percent increase in brain function, so the symptoms can wax and wane mysteriously.  Symptoms of Thiamine insufficiency include stunted growth, chronic fatigue, and Gastrointestinal Beriberi (diarrhea, abdominal pain), heart attack, Alzheimer's, stroke, and cancer.   Thiamine improves bone turnover.  Thiamine insufficiency can also affect the thyroid.  The thyroid is important in bone metabolism.  The thyroid also influences hormones, like estrogen and progesterone, and menopause.  Vitamin D, at optimal levels, can act as a hormone and can influence the thyroid, as well as being important to bone health, and regulating the immune system.  Vitamin A is important to bone health, too, and is necessary for intestinal health, as well.   I don't do dairy because I react to Casein, the protein in dairy that resembles gluten and causes a reaction the same as if I'd been exposed to gluten, including high tTg IgA.  I found adding mineral water containing calcium and other minerals helpful in increasing my calcium intake.   Malabsorption of Celiac affects all the vitamins and minerals.  I do hope you'll talk to your doctor and dietician about supplementing all eight B vitamins and the four fat soluble vitamins because they all work together interconnectedly.

Hi Jane: You may want to try the D3 I now take. I have reactions to fillers and many additives. Sports Research, it is based in the USA and I have had no bad reactions with this brand. The D3 does have coconut oil but it is non GMO, it is Gluten free, Soy free, Soybean free and Safflower oil free.  I have a cupboard full of supplements that did not agree with me -  I just keep trying and have finally settled on Sports Research. I take NAKA Women's Multi full spectrum, and have not felt sick after taking 2 capsules per day -  it is a Canadian company. I buy both from Amazon. I wish you well in your searching, I know how discouraging it all is. Florence.

highly unlikely  NOTHING and I mean NOTHING else has ever caused me these kinds of symptoms I have no problem with dates, they are a large part of my diet In fact, I eat a very high fiber, very high vegetable and bean diet and have for many years now. It's considered a whole foods plant based or plant forward diet (I do now eat some lean ground turkey but not much) I was off dairy for years but recently had to add back plain yogurt to meet calcium needs that I am not allowed to get from supplements (I have not had any problem with the yogurt)   I eat almost no processed foods. I don't eat out. almost everything I eat, I cook myself I am going to keep a food diary but to be honest, I already know that it's wheat products and also barley that are the problem, which is why I gradually stopped eating and buying them. When I was eating them, like back in early 2024, when I was in the middle of moving and ate out (always had bread or toast or rolls or a sub or pizza) I felt terrible but at that time was so busy and exhausted that I never stopped to think it was the food. Once I was in my new place, I continued to have bread from time to time and had such horrible joint pain that I was preparing for 2 total knee replacements as well as one hip! The surgery could not go forward as I was (and still am) actively losing calcium from my bones. That problem has yet to be properly diagnosed and treated   anyway over time I realized that I felt better when I stopped eating bread. Back at least 3 yrs ago I noticed that regular pasta made me sick so I switched to brown rice pasta and even though it costs a lot more, I really like it.   so gradually I just stopped buying and eating foods with gluten. I stopped getting raisin bran when I was constipated because it made me bloated and it didn't help the constipation any more (used to be a sure bet that it would in the past)   I made cookies and brownies using beans and rolled oats and dates and tahini and I LOVE them and have zero issues eating those I eat 1 or more cans of beans per day easily can eat a pound of broccoli - no problem! Brussels sprouts the same thing.   so yeh it's bread and related foods that are clearly the problem  there is zero doubt in my mind

Thank you for your post, @nanny marley It is interesting what you say about 'It's OK not to sleep'. Worrying about sleeping only makes it much harder to sleep.  One of my relatives is an insomniac and I am sure that is part of the problem.  Whereas I once had a neighbour who, if she couldn't sleep, would simply get up again, make a cup of tea, read, do a sudoku or some other small task, and then go back to bed when she felt sleepy again.  I can't think it did her any harm - she lived  well into her nineties. Last week I decided to try a Floradix Magnesium supplement which seems to be helping me to sleep better.  It is a liquid magnesium supplement, so easy to take.  It is gluten free (unlike the Floradix iron supplement).  Might be worth a try.

It could be a fructan intolerance? How do you do with dates?  https://www.dietvsdisease.org/sorry-your-gluten-sensitivity-is-actually-a-fructan-intolerance/
