:P A triangle of horror

:lol::lol:

Not to be confused with the 'the magic (back) triangle'

My choice of 'chin feet' still stands BTW ;)

I'm sure my funny is somewhere at the bottom of that never-ending laundry basket.

Must search mine!...in amongst the plethora of odd socks and belts no one ever wears

Ok, Tel's making Rock cakes again later..... an orderly queue is forming on FB on my profile page ;)

Tel replaces normal flour with a gluten-free ready mixed flour.

Will you guys let me indulge in a little self pity? Just skip this post if you aren't up for whining......

I am so so tired. I am tired of homework, tired of being the responsible one at work, tired of having to cook every single meal I eat, tired of exercise to keep my joints mobile, tired of dishes, tired of laundry, tired of only eating things that are good for me, tired of all these things that I can't stop doing because they keep my life going. I want to watch a movie or read a book or sit on my butt and do nothing or read one of the magazines that are stacking up on my floor. Sometimes as I'm running across campus to get to class or catch a bus or get to the gym I think "I'm 45 years old....what the hell am I doing??" And what the hell AM I doing? When does the relaxing part start? All I can think of is the list of things I have to accomplish today because I need clothes and dishes and food and the animals need to eat and their beds need cleaning and I have homework and the final is in two weeks and I have yet to write the Friday report for my boss and I have to write two grants for the theater group and I should and I need to and I have to and and and..... And all I want is to do something that starts with I want to....

OK. I feel better. I'll do my dishes now.....but I'm doing it with REALLY LOUD MUSIC and will be singing at the top of my lungs.

celiac-mommy Collaborator

Whisper voice today, I had more than a few strawberry lemonade and vodkas out wif me friends last night, twas lots o' fun, but paying today!!! The voodoo donuts are soooo not calorie free, but soooo delish, and a great way to soak up that vodka--guess I shoulda had more than one <_<

Will he climb into your and Mark's bed to convalesce?

Max has been phrequenting our bed for the last week. Hubby just says--move over to yer mom's side of the bed, I don't wanna get sick!!

HEY! Where is Canada in these lists?

I have phrequented Canadia almost every summer of my life. 1/2 me clan lives there. We're the heavy drinking Irish one's up there... (that narrows it down doesn't it)

Actually, 2 places at the top of my list are Montreal and Prince Edward Island, Don't know how I managed to leave those off the list. We are contemplating a trip to Vermont this summer and would be an hour from Montreal!!!!

Dear gawd... . .I have often thought about choosing the absolutely WORST thing I would have to endure food-wise, and the banishment of PB would be it. However, I would absolutely be ten pounds slimmer, immediately and forever.

Agreed!!!!! I WISH WISH WISH I could give up the pb. I know that's what's jiggling on my arse while I'm on the treadmill <_<

You know, I really shouldn't . . . I should make you go look for yourselves . . .

Apparently, a bunch of us should be dead since we never actually picked even though we discussed it at great lengths . . .

The only people who made decisions . . .

Chin feet were chosen by tom, Juliem and Nikki

Butt heads were chosen by Patti, Bev, and ~alex~

(:( missing Psillies)

I apparently need to kick myself in the forehead butt and change my attitude . . . I was much funnier two years ago . . . perhaps I should drink more.

I've got bangs, so I think I could go with the forehead arse and manage to conceal it ;)

And I think you are all so funny. You have no idea how much I appreciate you all. I don't want to think of a day without you

Jess-----ROCK ON!!!!! You're preaching to the choir, except now I've got 3 others that I am completely responsible for doing everything for  I lurve them more than anything in the world, but I could use a break sometimes!!!! We should all rent that houseboat and sail away for a week!!!

 Ra-shyellle, much of your post had me chortling away.. . . .......yup, agreed -- all the jigglin' stuff as I walk/run/reach for something/stretch/get outta the car/go up the stairs is that fricking peanut butter.... .. ...... .. but I canna stop.

JYESSS!. . .. .....but . . . . ....and :(, too. . . .. . . . . ...

Perhaps you need to look at unloading some of the stuff that you do not absolutely HAVE to do. It is so obvious that you LOVE the theatre - - but can you back off it for a while? Yeegads, girl -- a full-time job, school, a house and pets to maintain, AND theatRE productions to help bring together -- no bloody wonder you're approaching (or hitting) the wall! What can you NOT do from that long list you posted, and still keep financially, physically and mentally comfortable? Sounds like somethin's gotta give!

Well, listen, Jyessss. . .. . ......always try to find the bright side. .. . ......

You do NOT have li'l feet sticking outta yer chin. Nor do you have a bum on your forehead.

Thank GAWD!!

Although with either of those unfortunate things, you'd only have to put in a couple of months each year travelling the country with a modern freak-show circus ensemble.... . .you would demand, and make, six figures, and could have the remainder of the year off... . . . ....

Perhaps NOT such a good thang, lacking these features.. . .. ......<_<

DoUGHnuts & vodka???

...next time , IM IN!!!!!!!!!

<worry about the cals after eh?! >

PB?.... <strokes chin>.... we Brits don't really have that love affair going on.

Probably 'cos 'ours' is inferior...now't like it should be (apparently :P )

...but no fear!!...plenty, plenty other things making my bum jiggle when running!!

Whine acknowledged Jess, and duly noted. ;)

I AGREE with Rae-schull!!

Sometimes it's like........'Stop the world!!...I want to get off!!!!'

I have warned my 'daughter I never had' (my wee friend who's 20 yrs younger than me!) to NEVER leave home!!!.... responsibilities creep in otherwise!!

Gaaaawd!! That houseboat sounds phab don't it??

Jestgar Rising Star

You do NOT have li'l feet sticking outta yer chin. Nor do you have a bum on your forehead.

'twould just be one more thing to do --- all those damn little visible toenails needing painting, although I suppose they wouldn't chip as often as fingernails.....

and would you need socks? or specialized mittens for those really cold days?

Eating peanut butter cups.... somehow doing just one thing that I shouldn't be doing makes the rest of it easier to deal with, that, and my friend suggesting I come over in a bit for tequila sunrises.....

jerseyangel Proficient

but I'm doing it with REALLY LOUD MUSIC and will be singing at the top of my lungs.

This is a very sensible phirst step :D

In the meantime whine away, me phriend, that's what we're here fer. You don't need any advice from me, so just know that it will all get done, do not phorget to breathe once in a while, and I promise you that if I were closer I'd be over there in a minute to pick up the slack. ;)

Go to yer phriend's and have a snootphul or two tonight and let it all go fer a little while....that's the beauty of work, it ain't goin' anywhere :D:wub:

Tis so very true <_< .....I can think of any number of things responsible fer that blasted jiggle. Sometimes I think no matter what I do, I'll never be able to get rid of it completely..... So exasperating.....

Wow, Jyesss! That is SO great! Um... . .I'm assuming that you had thirty pounds to spare. If not, you need to eat more! ;)

Dear gawd.... . .jiggling -- you have not felt THEEEEE most horrific, gut-wrenching, earth-shattering jiggling until you have done some heavy-duty jogging in neck-deep water. Whilst doing this some days back, I let my hand fall to my backside...... . . .holy crap. 'Twas like, 9.0 on the Richter scale... . . ....

And when you're in the water, it's like it's jiggling in slow motion :lol:

Ummmmmm, I do P90X plyometrics and the first time I did it, I heard this odd slapping sound when doing the high knee jumps, yet I couldn't feel anything weird. I looked down to see what it could be, and it was the saggy, hangy skin on my lower abs literally slapping my thighs. I was SOOOO grossed out with meselph that I started wearing a t-shirt over my sports bra--even when no one else can see me

What SHE said!!

. . . and my friend suggesting I come over in a bit for tequila sunrises.....

See . . . now this here idea will address several items on your list:

I am so so tired - I betcha those tequila sunrises will perk you up!!

I am tired of homework - Just write yer homework like you write to us when you've been drinking - your teacher will love it and give you an A for sure just for entertainment value.

tired of being the responsible one at work - drink enough tequila sunrises (especially AT work) and they won't let you be the responsible one.

tired of having to cook every single meal I eat - let your friend make your tequila sunrises for you.

tired of exercise to keep my joints mobile - lifting your arm to drink counts as exercise.

tired of dishes - drink out of a plastic cup.

tired of laundry - drink naked..

.

.

When does the relaxing part start? I'd say after your second or third one.

Hee! Jan-it, you're too phunny! Hopefully, Jess is taking your advice right now :P

We bought an electric milk frother today--now I can make tea lattes at home :D We tried it out just now--Mark had frothed hot chocolate and I had a tea latte. Pretty good if I say so myself B)

Anybody watching the Oscars? I have it on in the background. Watching for the dresses, mostly.....

Egads, Jyesss, for how long are you going to keep up this pace??? Not long, I hope :unsure::rolleyes:

Although you do sound a bit like me "WHEN I WAS YOUR AGE"

Arise, shower, walk dog, feed dog, three cats and parakeet, commute on mostly freeway 45 minutes, work at stressful job (which I loved though), commute on freeway for 1 hour (rush hour of course), grab bite in cafeteria while studying, class 7-10 pm, commute home on backroads 40 minutes, fall into bed. Repeat four times per week (no class Fridays). Weekend, things on your list plus homework, trip to law library for research (1hr round trip) say hello to spouse (Hi honey!), pet cats and dog, talk to parakeet, talk to selph, water gardens, chase gophers (oh My God, those gophers!), maybe vacuum and dust, clean shower, grocery shopping, talk to selph....Damned near kilt me. But what doesn't kill ya makes ya stronger  And all this to qualify for the job I was already doing :o Well, at least it allowed me to move to a new job :)

Get tested for vitamin deficiencies.  Though neuropathy can be a symptom of celiac, it can also be caused by deficiencies due to poor digestion caused by celiac and could be easier to treat.

Thank you so much for your response  Yes it seems as though things get very painful as time goes on.  I'm not eating gluten as far as I know.  However, I'm not sure of cross contamination.  My system seems to weaken to hidden spices and other possibilities. ???  if cross contamination is possible...I am in a super sensitive mode of celiac disease.. Neuropathy from head to toes

EXACTLY! I was asked yesterday on my LAST video call with Standford and I stated exactly yes absolutely this is why I need the name! One, get proper care, two, not get worse.Im falling apart, stressed out, in pain and just opened email from Stanford stating I was rude ect.I want that video reviewed by higher ups and see if that women still has a job or not.Im saying this because I've been medically screwed and asking for help because bills don't pay itself. This could be malpratice siit but im not good at finding lawyers

We feel your pain. It took me 20+ years of regularly going to doctors desperate for answers only to be told there was nothing wrong with me … when I was 20 pounds underweight, suffering from severe nutritional deficiencies, and in a great deal of pain. I had to figure it out for myself. If you're in the U.S., not having an official diagnosis does mean you can't claim a tax deduction for the extra expense of gluten-free foods. But it can also be a good thing. Pre-existing conditions might be a reason why a health insurance company might reject your application or charge you more money. No official diagnosis means you don't have a pre-existing condition. I really hope you don't live in the U.S. and don't have these challenges. Do you need an official diagnosis for a specific reason? Else, I wouldn't worry about it. As long as you're diligent in remaining gluten free, your body should be healing as much as possible so there isn't much else you could do anyway. And there are plenty of us out here who never got that official diagnosis because we couldn't eat enough gluten to get tested. Now that the IL-2 test is available, I suppose I could take it, but I don't feel the need. Someone else not believing me really isn't my problem as long as I can stay in control of my own food.
    • AlwaysLearning
If you're just starting out in being gluten free, I would expect it to take months before you learned enough about hidden sources of gluten before you stopped making major mistakes. Ice cream? Not safe unless they say it is gluten free. Spaghetti sauce? Not safe unless is says gluten-free. Natural ingredients? Who knows what's in there. You pretty much need to cook with whole ingredients yourself to avoid it completely. Most gluten-free products should be safe, but while you're in the hypersensitive phase right after going gluten free, you may notice that when something like a microwave meal seems to not be gluten-free … then you find out that it is produced in a shared facility where it can become contaminated. My reactions were much-more severe after going gluten free. The analogy that I use is that you had a whole army of soldiers waiting for some gluten to attack, and now that you took away their target, when the stragglers from the gluten army accidentally wander onto the battlefield, you still have your entire army going out and attacking them. Expect it to take two years before all of the training facilities that were producing your soldiers have fallen into disrepair and are no longer producing soldiers. But that is two years after you stop accidentally glutening yourself. Every time you do eat gluten, another training facility can be built and more soldiers will be waiting to attack. Good luck figuring things out.
