Oh, yuck, Jyesss.. . .. ....this is what I hate about our outdoor cats - - I am a worrier, so I don't tend to own these types very well. They are gone for longer than two or three meals and I'm up at night, wondering, out calling.. .. . ..... .

They ALWAYS return. Lefty will be back, Jyesss! He's out doing kitty stuph. . . . . ....:)

Maybe he walked out the door and accidently took a righty, he'll come full circle once he's made it around the island ;)

Just wanted to poop in and say I'm keeping multiple limbs crossed that he comes back soon. I think he will.

Peter- Good news on Jacquie.

Hi Peeps!!!!!!!!!

Too much for me to try and catch up on  :sheepishphace: ..... I am such a Psilly pslacker!!!

...and so we Psillies MUST ask

What does it all mean???

;)

Jacquie came in with me this morning for a half-shift at the store. Just four hours, but it is a start. It will probably be a week or more before she can return full time. She's still not able to drive or lift.

....ok, don't make me use my Mummy voice....

NO LIFTING!!!!!!!!!!

Wishing Mrs Oracle a continued speedy recovery :)

No silliness here. Lefty hasn't been home in two days :( :( :(

<_<

Gaaawd, I hate it when they do that......they are such inconsiderate creatures.

The longest one of mine has been out is 4 days...... with me (like Patti) out calling, wafting all kinds of delicious meats, shaking crunchies in a box etc...

I'm pretty sure he heard me, saw me even.....and thought...

'Whatever..... stupid hooman'

Hope Lefty 's back soon!!

kareng Grand Master

I hope Lefty is OK & comes home soon.

Me, I need my space  Clay used to be away a couple of nights a week pre-retirement, and that was just poifect for me. Since retirement this "togetherness" ALL THE TIME! gets a big much for me. Don't fence me in

I concur! Brian is gone for the week for training in Ohio. Since I don't see him during the week anyway with him working 2nd shift, it doesn't make much difference <_<

My son would freak at the opportunity to go to Legoland. If we can ever make it out to California, I have to take him!

I think there's one at the Mall of America in Minnesota, too.

they are calling for psnaough here........

Get me outta heeeeeeeere!

Oh no!!!!! RUN EM, RUN!!!!!! :o

HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY, PSILLY MOMS!

Ah yes......a timeless classic :P

Hi everybody!!! It feels like forever since I've visited here. Or maybe I just dreamed you all when I had need of you the most. Dunno. Not a lot of silly in me these days...so far proving to be a really nasty year. Seems I've fallen into this truly unpsilly place and I can't get up. I've lost patience with everything (as I like to say....my camel is sipping on it's last straw), and am not liking myself very much these days. I know it'll pass, that I'll stop this pity party and being a blatbaby one of these days, soon. Sorry to be such a wet blanket here.

I'm hoping that you are all well and doing jest fine. I think I'll browse a bit through the psilliness here. Maybe I'll find mine wandering amongst yours.

Well obviously, now is when you need us the most! Toss that wet blanket in the dryer, snuggle up in front of your computer and gather up all the warm fuzzies from yer psilliest friends. You've finally found your way back home. We've been waiting for you ;)

((((((HUGS))))))

hmm, good point. boobs are too small. clearly it's affecting my brain as well

I'm right there with ya!!!!

T!!!!....if you find yer psillie, will you check and see if our boobies are around somewhere?

No silliness here. Lefty hasn't been home in two days :( :( :(

Tinkerbell stays inside, but Zeuss is an escape artist. He was gone for over a week, once.

GADS!!!! Had to interpret on a class field trip. We saw the play Around the World in 80 Days. They brought me a chair to sit between my student and the stage....no room for my legs. Had to sit like this...\../....practically in her lap! AND they put a spotlight on me so she could see me in the dark. At the end they took their bows, and one actor motioned for me to take mine

I am pooped!!!....and sore. Ready for a nap!

Oh........AND another assistant and I were in charge of 19 special ed students, because none of the special ed teachers went <_<

But all went well :)

Lisa- Your whole post and interpretation of interpreting

But I meant to say ((((HUGS)))) to T when I pooped in before. You did it so well, I'll just use your words.

Hang in there T- better days will come!

GADS!POLITICS!!!

We've been following you Brits and your election o'er here, as we have had a minority (or "hung" as you blokes succinctly put it ) parliament for four years. They canna get anything done.. ...bills don't get passed, alliances are quickly made and abandoned... . ......'tis crazy. We simply have too many parties running. I wanna be like the Yanks -- two choices. Thassall I need!

Leeeesargh! There you are! :)

Dear gawd.. . . .....just like the position I must assume for my pap smear, complete with the spotlight shining right above the doc's head, illuminating EVERYTHING. Crap... . .. . .. does he expect me to take a bow after he extracts the tools and throws them into the sink??

Whennnnnnnn, will I learn NOT to take a drink whilst reading Em's posts?!?!?!

OMG, OMG, OMG--know what I just realized (I may be waaaaaay behind.....)?? There's a way to see the page of posts while yer replying. Caveat, you can't multipost wilst doing it, but, you start typing in the fast reply box and you can scroll all the way UP and see the entire page of posts!

I suppose you can type on what you want, copy it from the fast reply section, multipost on everything you want, hit "add reply" (under the posts) instead of "post" (under "fast reply"), then paste what you previously typed!

I messed this up. Was going to say that that was too complicated for me. Regular posting appears to be too complicated for me.

HEY! I'm inside the Fast Reply box! here I go... .. .gonna scroll on up to see what's been said before me... ... . .....

Yep, can see it all! But yes, there is no bringing others' quotes into this reply, so I can see how it would get quite complicated with cutting and pasting. . .. . . .....I must now open up a regular "Add Reply" window with my quoted bits in it, and somehow combine the two windows.. . .. ....

Gads.. . ....maybe later in the day. . . . . . ... . ..

Dang--I was hoping to hear that Lefty was at the door this AM. :(

celiac-mommy Collaborator

Maybe Lefty knew I needed a good mouser right now and he's on his way to help me out because we can't have a kitteh of our own ;)

I'm home alone today!!!! Really want to go get lost in Nordstroms today, but alas, the in-laws are coming this weekend so I have to stay home and do chores <_< I think I will try to get out this afternoon and do some rollerblading on the waterfront, supposed to be a nice day!!

Happy hump day y'all!!

Hi,  My 7 year daughter has complained of this in the past, which I thought were part of her glutening symptom, but more recently I have come to figure out it's part of her histamine overload symptom. This one symptom was part of her broader profile, which included irritability, extreme hunger, confusion, post-nasal drip. You might want to look up "histamine intolerance". I wish I had known of this at the time of her diagnosis, life would have been much easier.  I hope you are able to figure out.

My 5yo was diagnosed with celiac last year by being tested after his sister was diagnosed. We are very strict on the gluten-free diet, but unsure what his reactions are as he was diagnosed without many symptoms other than low ferritin.  He had a school party where his teacher made gluten-free gingerbread men. I almost said no because she made it in her kitchen but I thought it would be ok.  Next day and for a few after his behavior is awful. Hitting, rude, disrespectful. Mainly he kept saying his legs were shaking. Is this a gluten exposure symptom that anyone else gets? Also the bad behavior?
    • trents
Not necessarily. The "Gluten Free" label means not more than 20ppm of gluten in the product which is often not enough for super sensitive celiacs. You would need to be looking for "Certified Gluten Free" (GFCO endorsed) which means no more than 10ppm of gluten. Having said that, "Gluten Free" doesn't mean that there will necessarily be more gluten than "Certified Gluten" in any given batch run. It just means there could be.
    • trents
I think it is wise to seek a second opinion from a GI doc and to go on a gluten free diet in the meantime. The GI doc may look at all the evidence, including the biopsy report, and conclude you don't need anything else to reach a dx of celiac disease and so, there would be no need for a gluten challenge. But if the GI doc does want to do more testing, you can worry about the gluten challenge at that time. But between now and the time of the appointment, if your symptoms improve on a gluten free diet, that is more evidence. Just keep in mind that if a gluten challenge is called for, the bare minimum challenge length is two weeks of the daily consumption of at least 10g of gluten, which is about the amount found in 4-6 slices of wheat bread. But, I would count on giving it four weeks to be sure.
