Multiquoted all y'alls and LOST EM ALL!!! I am sooooo super late, but

Merry Christmas!!!!!!!

The charger to our computer crapped out, so I've been wifout since Friday. I hope everyone had a most wonderful holiday! We went to my grandma's (dad's side) house on Friday which is always a drunken blast and then had Christmas day at our house with my mom's family. I'd eaten nuthin but crap for about 4 days, felt bloated and enormous and do you know what my DH bought me?! SATIN leggins..... Now, I am a firm believer that unless you're a size 2, satin should only be a trim piece on clothing. NOT covering yer arse! He was so excited about this outfit and really wanted me to try them on toot sweet  Oh I tried them on all right... Then I cried.... Then I went down to breakfast and ate 2 cinnamon rolls

I decided to start my New Years BS resolution yesterday, stepped on the scale, cried again, then juiced all day and dance for an hour with Madeleine and Max last night on the Wii. I feel much better today! Then DH asked if I'd go on a date wif him tonight, cuz he's really craving Mexican food....GAH!!!!!

Whatchy'all doin for New Years?

kareng Grand Master

We will stay home for New Years. Thinking of making lasagna. J has a party not far away. The parents of the party are the most over- protective, smothering parents. :)

New Years Eve we'll probably stay home and fall asleep.....

New Years Day, hopefully, we'll have our family Christmas dinner here postponed from last Sunday.

*sigh* Failing again at apart time. BE wants to do something New Year's eve. I may have to go back to Spain to keep away from him.

Jestgar Rising Star

oooh. I just had a scary thought! If Knick pinches and punches us on the first day of the month, what happens on the first day of the year!?!? :o :o Maybe we all better hide!

Do you want to keep away from him? Otherwise go to Spain with him!!!! It can be quite romantic. That's where I told Clark I was pregnant and he proposed. I did the whole nine yards backwards. Honeymoon, pregnancy, proposal and wedding. This is just a suggestion from a loyal, friendly voyeur! Not the honeymoon, pregnancy, proposal, and wedding- just the romance and not even Spain - just skipping the apart time unless you need it.

Hugs,

Loey

P.S. I thought the alone time was BE's idea. Clark did that when we were dating but it didn't even last a day.

Maybe you shouldn't have apart time then. If you can't stay away from each other, then don't :D

Hub and I tried this 110 years ago when dating but found we really didn't want to be apart.

There are hundreds of birds in the trees out back! They are so noisy, I can hear them in e house, over the noise of the wash machine & TV! Anyone remember Alfred Hitchcock? :(

Every time I go to my painting class there are an enormous amount of birds on the telephone lines. Then I come out two and a half hours later to find they all crapped on my car so badly I have to take it to the car wash that day it dries. And their crap is red. Are they drinking blood? It adds $10 to the cost of my class each week. AAAARRRGGGGHHHH!!! mad.gifmad.gifmad.gifmad.gif

Ok maybe only 72.

You need a joke:

Trevor's New Year's Eve party was an annual occurrence with numerous guests arriving.

It depends what he wants to do  I thought apart time could involve "seeing" each other in public places - although that hasn't worked very well in restaurants in the past :P ; you do have to actually carry through with your intentions!

We did this too. Actually, I said I didn't want to be with someone who was drunk all the time and who wanted to mess around with other girls. I wished him well and tried to move on.... He came crawling back to me in no time, sober and monogamous :D

Sometimes they just need to realize what they could lose. :P

Since both BE and I commute, the only time we could really go out is Saturday. Fridays he's not home until 8:30, which is late for me. I suppose dinner in Seattle would work, but he'd still have to drop me off at home, and then leave.....:P :P Dunno. Have to think about this. Once the weather improves we can do weekend hikes n' stuff. Not such a fun prospect this time of year though.

And his friends told him if he hurt me, they'd kick his A$$! Loved his friends :)

Maybe I missed it-was if you who wanted some space or him?

Jestgar Rising Star

I wanted space. It was getting a bit overwhelming with school and work and theater and application for school and late nights and early mornings and lonely cats and so on and so forth. I also felt like all we ever did was have sex, which isn't a bad thing :P , but it would be nice to play too.

I'm sure it's chemically perfect. Most of them taste lousy!

Hi @JulieRe.  I just found your post.  It seems that I am also experiencing thrush, and my doctor believes that I have fungal overgrowth in my gut, which is most likely candida.  I'm seeing my GI doctor next week, so I'm hoping she can diagnose and confirm this and then give me an antifungal treatment.  In the meantime, I have been working with a functional medicine doctor, doing a candida cleanse and taking vitamins. It's already helping to make me feel better (with some ups and downs, of course), so I do think the yeast is definitely a problem for me on top of my celiac disease and I'm hoping my GI doctor can look into this a bit further.  So, how about you?  Did the candida come back, or is it still gone following your fluconazole treatment?  Also, was it awful to take fluconazole?  I understand that taking an antifungal can cause a reaction that sometimes makes people feel sick while they're taking it.  I hope you're doing better still !

I'm so sorry you're going through this—the "gluten challenge" is notoriously brutal, and it's awful to deliberately make yourself sick when you've already found the answer. For the joint pain, many people find that over-the-counter anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen can help take the edge off, and using heating pads or warm baths can provide some direct relief for the aches. For the digestive misery, stick to simple, easy-to-digest foods (like plain rice, bananas, and bone broth) and drink plenty of water and electrolytes to stay hydrated. It feels like the longest month ever, but you are doing the right thing to get a clear diagnosis, which can be crucial for your long-term health and getting the proper care. Hang in there; you can get through this! This article, and the comments below it, may be helpful:

Daura Damm (a sponsor here) uses AN-PEP enzymes and filtering in their brewing process to reduce/remove gluten, and it actually tests below 10ppm (I've see a document where they claim 5ppm).

This topic has come up before on this forum and has been researched. No GMO wheat, barley and rye are commercially available in the USA. Any modifications are from hybridization, not laboratory genetic modification. Better toleration of wheat, barley and rye products in other countries is thought to be due to use of heirloom varieties of these cereal grains as opposed to the hybrids used in the USA which contain much larger amounts of gluten.
