Don't think I am a horrible Mom after you read this!

A couple of years ago when Walker was learning to ride his bike, we'd taken him down to the park and he rode his bike into a bush. He laughed about, he was a good sport.

Later that day, we were out in front of our house on our sidewalk and he had me holding the seat of his bike so it wouldn't fall over, but that was all I was to do. He would start pedaling, I'd let go, and he'd travel down a few houses on his own.

Well, I was holding the seat, and his handlebars weren't pointing straight down the sidewalk, but more crooked, so he'd have to straighten them up pretty quickly to stay on the sidewalk. I tried telling him and got the old, "I can do it!", so I kept my mouth shut. He started pedaling, didn't straighten up his handlebars and rode his bike sooooooo sloooooowwwwwly into a tree. The bike stood there for a second and then he and the bike fell over. OMG! I thought I would die laughing! I went over there and said, "Hey, where did that tree come from?" :lol: and then laughed some more. :lol: He laughed too, and then got mad and said it was all my fault.

Don't Think I'm a Horrible Person but I LMAO reading this. It was the slow motion part that got me!

I am going to get to the bottom of WHO SARTED THIS and I will come back with a full report. It's my job as a moderator :P :P :P :P

My preliminary hypothesis is that it was Susie with her talk of falsies, but I could be wrong; probable, but highly unlikely (it was probably me or that wily Brit) :P

The finding are in- p. 50 DingoGirl mentined show boarding, But it WAS JESTGAR who asked if the tassles could spin. JESTGAR- TAG- You're IT! :lol::P:ph34r:

Yer right. I should be slapped with a gluten-free noodle. I request a corn noodle, since those tend to be squishier.

But I guess they're stickier too, so maybe they'll substitute for the tassels.... :rolleyes:

:lol: Hilarious!

One time we were at the Calgary Zoo at the gorilla enclosure and we saw a big male gorilla lying down right in front of the window. He picked his nose, ate it, glanced out of the corner of his eye and saw us watching him and clapped his hand on his forehad in the traditonal "D'oh!" move. We laughed so hard and wished we'd had our video camera with us, we'd have made a million.

Do you guys know about Hayseed Dixie- they're a hillbilly tribute to AC DC . Here's their version of

Back in Black is waaaay better but I couldn't find. My hubby and I love them. Also, there's a hillbilly band called Tthe Gourds that cover Snoop Doggy Dogg's song "gin and Juice". I don't even know the Snoop version, but their version will make you pee you panatlones! :P

Have I been sold yet? Only for charity! :rolleyes:

Ewwwww....I would never slap anyone with an old trout. Maybe a fresh one.

I'm sure Ricahrd would be happy to deal out the punishment as i was never much of a disciplinarian. Just ask my students. "What, you kicked Ashley? That's not nice. Ashley, come here."

      Great  post. The skin issue can be intolerable. I have been taking niacinamide for the past month and have improved with respect to the blistering lesions.

      I've found taking Niacin Vitamin B 3 in the form that causes flushing (nicotinic acid) helps immensely to clear my skin.  The flushing is harmless and goes away the longer Niacin is taken.  The flushing (vasodilation in the skin) helps the body get rid of the tTg 3 IgA antibodies that cause the blisters.  TTg 2 IgA antibodies are found in the blood and are measured in diagnostic testing for Celiac.  People with Dermatitis Herpetiformis make tTg 3 as well as tTg 2 antibodies.  Niacin Vitamin B3 in the non flushing form niacinamide also works without the flushing, but takes a bit longer.   I also avoid foods containing high levels of iodine because iodine activates the tTg 3 IgA antibodies to become more active and make more blisters.  I avoid kelp (nori, seaweed) and crustaceans,  eggs, dairy products, and iodized table salt.   Niacinamide and Nicotinic acid are water soluble and harmless.  I'd much rather take Niacin than Dapsone with scary side effects.

      We have a gluten-free household. It's the least stressful option. No one else in my family has Celiac, but they are all extremely supportive. We don't even have Play-doh for this kids.

      @Ronnie d, there is a small percentage of celiacs who have dermatitis herpetiformis but have no small bowel mucosal involvement. Also, we have had some reports on this forum from dermatitis herpetiformis suffers who said Dapsone did not work for them. But for the vast majority it does.

      yes, the above is true. however; if the doctor does the tests and finds your are a candidate then dapsone is the drug that will stop the blisters immediately. dapsone started as a drug for malaria and leprosy....I do not know how it became known for dermatitis herpetiformis. I can tell you that my doctor told me she had several patients that have taken it over 20 years. our dosage was one a day until clear,then we went to every other day for a while, working down to zero a day. I still have an active prescription for dapsone but have not had to take one in several years. in closing, if anyone reads this and has truly been diagnosed for dermatitis herpetiform is, then ask your doctor for dapsone..... for those of you reading this that have never had the blisters and infections from the scratching and oozing fluid...than you can't identify. you can have celiac without dermatitis herpetiform is....but all people with dermatitis herpetaformis have celiac...  a double whammy, so to say.
