Arguing With One Another On Posts!?

I'm pretty new here and don't really feel I know too many of the regular posters, but I certainly enjoyed reading this thread. It was interesting and funny...I have to say, this message board has REALLY helped me more than anything else over recent months...I am feeling so much better now, mostly because of reading people's discussions, experiences, thoughts, references to medical lit, etc., and finally figuring out my problems with all of this help. Some arguing (I think I've missed most of it) is only natural in this situation; there just isn't a lot of helpful information out there or easy to find, and so throwing around opinions and all of that is only what you'd expect. If I hadn't stumbled across this message board almost a year ago, I'd still be totally miserable today! I would hate to see this thing moderated like the vegan message board I belong to, where anything possibly conflicting with veganism is deleted right away. I like the idea of veganism, but I don't like doing anything just blindly; I prefer knowing both sides of an issue before I make my choice...but now I'm getting off track. Let me just say again: This board, and every poster on it, has been enormous help to me.

Aww spunky- you're awesome.

Lynne- I cannot wait for the full moon. I am going to howl, wail and scream like a banshee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Richard- I've got Trigger stuffed and mounted in my living room. He's cool, but a little hard. Not as soft and friendly as I thought he's be.

...Gene Autry. My dad was a big fan, she won Gene's ashes on eBay and keeps him in her pocket book. The whole Trigger in the trunk thing never worked out...

oh...help me.....dear God.....was actually reading that for a minute and thinking it was true - pondering it - and then read Richard's signature and Bev's question

Please give him a carrot (Absolutely NO OATS  - not even McCann's!) and tell him mom misses him. Did you find his back legs?

OMG I am freakin DYING HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE FULL MOONS.................................. :D:D:D:D:ph34r:

I did find his back legs but had to buy them seperately. Don't understand why they were more expensive. I'll pet him for your mom. He's very sweet and quiet.

When he wouldn't fit in the trunk mom cut the back legs off, then realized he still wasn't gonna fit. Dad wanted to make a coffee table out of them, but "Two legs does not a table make". :(

Dad tried duct tape, it just kept chafing Trigger's *ss. Finally he gave up and made a nifty pair of lamps(complete with 10 gallon shades) and sold them on eBay to help pay for Gene. (times were tough)

Nice Avatar by the way. Happier times (sniffle)

I'm a little confused. Wasn't it Roy Rogers' horse that was named "Trigger"??????? Gene Autry's horse was named "Champion" (he called him "Champ). Full moon and all . . . . . . .

Well of course everybody know that, everybody but mom. Imagine her dismay when she presented Trigger to dad..."um thanks honey, wrong horse" :(

Champion (Autry's horse, for those of you who don't know <_< ) rode off into the sunset with Silver and Mr. Ed, never to be seen again. Thank God we still have Trigger!

Forgive me for jumping in here....but I love Mr Ed and so do my kids. He lives on in the DVD world. Shhhh, don't tell my kids he's dead. They have a hard enough time with Lassie. Lassie is still alive since it's the same dog year after year right? I know, they've used like 5 Lassies, not including current ones.

What am I doing posting here  I don't have time to keep up on so many active threads!

You HAVE to post the words of the song ,again for Vincent!

Mtndog Collaborator

Is her around? Here it is "The Worm Song"

Have you ever felt this way? Most of us have felt "friendless" at some point, but when you do, remember that the feeling will probably pass. And in the meantime, we DON'T advise you to "go eat worms"!

Nobody likes me, everybody hates me,

Guess I'll go eat worms,

Long, thin, slimy ones; Short, fat, juicy ones,

Itsy, bitsy, fuzzy wuzzy worms.

Down goes the first one, down goes the second one,

Oh how they wiggle and squirm.

Up comes the first one, up comes the second one,

Oh how they wiggle and squirm.

Version II

Nobody loves me, everybody hates me

Think I'll go and eat worms

Long ones, short ones, fat ones, thin ones

See how they wriggle and squirm

I bite off the heads, and suck out the juice

And throw the skins away

Nobody knows how fat I grow

On worms three times a day

Ohh...nobody loves me.

Version III:

Nobody likes me, everybody hates me,

Think I'll go eat worms.

Big fat juicy ones, Eensie weensy squeensy ones,

See how they wiggle and squirm.

Chomp off their heads and squeeze out the juice

And throw their tails away

Nobody knows how I survive

On worms three times a day.

Version IV:

Nobody likes me, everybody hates me

I'm goin' down the garden to eat worms

Long thin slimy ones, short fat fuzzy ones

Ooey gooey, ooey gooey worms

Long thin slimy ones slip down easily

Short fat fuzzy ones don't

Short fat fuzzy ones stick to your teethlink to a non-NIEHS site

And the juice goes slurpin' (slurping noise) down your throat

Version V:

Nobody likes me, everybody hates me,

think I'll go eat worms...

big fat juicy ones, little slimy skinny ones,

hope they don't have germs!"

My tummy feels like I DOD eat worms today! Miss you Vincent, Beverly

I am on day 13 of eating gluten  and have decided to have the celiac panel done tomorrow instead of Wed. (and instead of extending it a few more weeks) because I am SO incredibly sick. I have almost no appetite and am not able to consume the required daily intake of calcium to try to keep up with the loss of calcium from the high parathyroid hormone and/or the renal calcium leak.    I have spent the past 15 years working hard to improve my health. I lost 50lbs, got off handfuls of medications, lowered my cholesterol to enviable levels, and in spite of having end stage osteoarthritis in both knees, with a good diet and keeping active I have NO pain in those joints- til now.  Almost all of my joints hurt now I feel like someone has repeatedly punched me all over my torso- even my ribs hurt- I have nausea, gas, bloating, headache, mood swings, irritability, horrid flatulence (afraid to leave the house or be in any enclosed spaces with other people- the smell would knock them off their feet) I was so sure that I wanted a firm diagnosis but now- I'm asking myself is THIS worth it? esp over the past 2 yrs I have been feeling better and better the more I adjusted my diet to exclude highly refined grains and processed foods. I didn't purposely avoid gluten, but it just happened that not eating gluten has made me feel better.   I don't know what I would have to gain by getting a definitive diagnosis. I think possibly the only advantage to a DX would be that I could insist on gluten-free foods in settings where I am unable to have access to foods of my choice (hospital, rehab, nursing home)  and maybe having a medical reason to see a dietician?   please let me know if it's reasonable to just go back to the way I was eating.  Actually I do plan to buy certified gluten-free oats as that is the only grain I consume (and really like) so there will be some minor tweaks I hope and pray that I heal quickly from any possible damage that may have been done from 13 days of eating gluten.

So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

I've noticed with my age and menopause my smell for bread gives me severe migraines and I know this. Its alarming that there are all these fabulous bakeries, sandwich places pizza places popping up in confined areas.Just the other day I suffered a migraine after I got done with my mri when a guy with a brown paper bag walk in front of me and I smelled that fresh dough bread with tuna, I got a migraine when we got home.I hate im that sensitive. Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.
