oh dear gaaaaaaaaaaawd Richard....between this and the Phhhhhhabio photo, you are killing me!!!!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

ninja gardening....hmmm....lots of digging in hardpan clay, and my back is killing me...maybe I DO need Fabio but he looks too much like a sissy man to do the digging - might get a scratch or ruin his manicure

Well, you didn't mention you were looking for help in the garden I wouldn't have sent Fabio or Gary (he's the male Glenn Close) Steven hasn't seen his toes in a while so he's not much help either....

Maybe this guy could help. He looks like a hard worker.

All these "gardener" pictures are killing me!!:lol::lol:

It's a good thing I'm the only one home, I don't think my fam would take "nothing" as the answer to what's so funny ;)

TriticusToxicum Explorer

You'd prefer the...alternative?

There's absolutely nothing wrong with Gary's teeth...it's his head that is all wrong...I think it is caving in from all the baking powder he snorted...

I figured they would beat up Fabio first...

I'm hoping they would scare off the attack geese. D*mned things, I've got feathers everywhere!

Richard, are you referring to the auxigro protective geese :lol:

Beverly- love the picture of you and your sweet dog :)

Karen I love your kitty picture too, hysterical. Bad hair day for sure!

Melannen, so good to see your smiling face :)

Yes Carla, we must see the braces. How long do you have to have them on for?

Are the the ones with tatoos and eye patches to match their surly attitudes? If so, thems the ones (I know what it means to be "goosed" thank you very much <_< )

They say about two years ... but if I'm good with my rubber bands, it can shorten the time to about 18 months. I think I'm going to be pretty obsessive about wearing my rubber bands!! The system my ortho uses is www.damonbraces.com. He won't use the white ones because the brackets fail, so I have the stainless steel ones.

At first glance I thought that link said "demon braces":lol:

That shouldn't be too bad, hopefully it will go fast for you. When I was younger I had to have braces, twice, my teeth kept shifting, the little devils. Not fun, but I got through it.

True story...2 summers agoI reshingled my roof on what turned out to be the hottest week of the year. I burn easily, so I didn't take my shirt off (sorry ladies). I worked ffrom sun-up to sun-down for like 4 straight days (alone :( ) at the end of the first day when I was taking a shower the water hit my...er..."lower" back and I just about jumped thru the ceiling. I had burned my upper "ars" because my shirt rode up and my jeans went south...talk about uncomfortable...

 My true story... was going to fly to see all my old buddies and wanted to look good... so tanned ALOT... and wore my usual bathing suit (similar to what that constuction worker was wearing) but wanted to do the... ha ha look I am so much tanner then you... so used oil and was out on the island... fell asleep tummy down.... I couldn't even hardly sit on the plane... and when I got there had to wear sun dresses and nothing else...ohhh and I did get a ha ha but it was on me....

My cousin (a flabby 250lb. male) heard somewhere (in the 1980's) that you could use mayonaise to tan, so he slathered himself in Miracle Whip and sizzled all afternoon and smelled like garbage for about 3 days!

Right now I think they are demon braces ... I can't eat anything! I'm supposed to eat protein and veggies, so I guess I'll be living on scrambled eggs and avocodoes! What's that going to do to my digestive system??!!

Ewwww!! That reminds me of an episode of Seinfeld where Kramer slathers himself w/butter and goes tanning :P

One of the funniest things I've ever seen--Kramer's head on a roast turkey, waiving his wing to Neuman--classic :D

I hope they start feeling better soon! Mine were always really sore for about 3 days after I had them adjusted

So sorry they hurt Carla :( . I guess you could cook the heck out of the veggies and then puree them, kind of like baby food, brace food.

My favorites..."Festivus, for the rest of us..."

All of Kramer's "big ideas" cracked me up. The one with the stronger shower head  or the man bra  Or was that George's dad that came up with that one??

my favorite - Kenny Rogers' Roasters, right under Kramer's apt.....and the sign blowing out at the end, Kramer in the bed with his chicken, and his plaintive cry: "...Kenny? Kenny.....":lol:

the manzier - invented by Mr. Costanza, I think.....is that the one where they're playing pool with their pants off (a la The Maestro), and Estelle Costanza walks in? maybe a different one......

the manzier (or the bro) appears in the episode about the doorman. Mrs. Costanza walks in on Kramer helping Mr. Costanza try it on

Doesn't he get a tan, artificial tan, from the light? Or something like that? Kramer is my favorite character.

No soup for you!!

Who can forget George running from the bathroom to the phone, with his pants around his ankles, falling face first on the floor--and Jerry walks in and says "and you want to be my new latex salesman!"

Scott, I am mostly asymptomatic. I was diagnosed based on high antibodies, low ferritin (3) and low vitamin D (10). I wasn't able to get in for the biopsy until 3 months after the blood test came back. I was supposed to keep eating gluten during this time. Well why would I continue doing something that I know to be harmful for 3 more months to just get this test? So I did quit gluten and had the biopsy. It was negative for celiacs. I continued gluten free with iron supps and my ferritin came back up to a reasonable, but not great level of around 30-35.  Could there be something else going on? Is there any reason why my antibodies would be high (>80) with a negative biopsy? could me intestines have healed that quickly (3 months)?  I'm having a hard time staying gluten free because I am asymptomatic and i'm wondering about that biopsy. I do have the celiacs gene, and all of the antibody tests have always come back high. I recently had them tested again. Still very high. I am gluten free mostly, but not totally. I will occasionally eat something with gluten, but try to keep to a minimum. It's really hard when the immediate consequences are nil.  with high antibodies, the gene, but a negative biopsy (after 3 months strict gluten-free), do i really have celiacs? please say no. lol. i think i know the answer.  Asa

I have had a long year of testing unfortunately still not diagnosed , although one thing they definitely agree I'm gluten intolerant, the thing for me I have severe back troubles they wouldnt perform the tests and I couldn't have a full MRI because I'm allergic to the solution , we tryed believe me  I tryed lol , another was to have another blood test after consuming gluten but it makes me so bad I tryed it for only a week, and because I have a trapped sciatic nerve when I get bad bowels it sets that off terribly so I just take it on myself now , I eat a gluten free diet , I'm the best I've ever been , and if I slip I know it so for me i have my own diagnosis  and I act accordingly, sometimes it's not so straight forward for some of us , for the first time in years I can plan to go out , and I have been absorbing my food better , running to the toilet has become occasionally now instead of all the time , i hope you find a solution 🤗

I was undiagnosed for decades. My ferritin when checked in 2003 was 3. It never went above 10 in the next 20 years. I was just told to "take iron". I finally requested the TTgIgA test in 2023 when I was well and truly done with the chronic fatigue and feeling awful. My numbers were off the charts on the whole panel.  they offered me an endoscopic biopsy 3 months later, but that i would need to continue eating gluten for it to be accurate. so i quit eating gluten and my intestine had healed by the time i had the biopsy (i'm guessing??). Why else would my TTgIgA be so high if not celiacs? Anyway, your ferritin will rise as your intestine heals and take HEME iron (brand 4 arrows). I took 20mg of this with vitamin c and lactoferrin and my ferritin went up, now sits around 35.  you will feel dramatically better getting your ferritin up, and you can do it orally with the right supplements. I wouldn't get an infusion, you will get as good or better results taking heme iron/vc/lf.

Scott, I agree with everything you said except the term "false negative". It should be a "true negative" just plain negative. I actually looked up true/false negative/positive as it pertains to testing. The term "false negative" would be correct if you are positive (have anti-bodies) and the test did not pick them up. That would be a problem with the "test" itself. If you were gluten-free and got tested, you more than likely would test "true" negative or just negative. This means that the gluten-free diet is working and no anti-bodies should be present. I know it sounds confusing and if you don't agree feel free to respond.

I realized it is actually important to get an official diagnosis because then insurance can cover bone density testing and other lab work to see if any further damage has been done because of it. Also, if hospitalized for whatever reason, I have the right to gluten-free food if I am officially celiac. I guess it gives me some legal protections. Plus, I have 4 kids, and I really want to know. If I really do have it then they may have increased risk.
