Cheesecake Factory Experience

I went to the Cheesecake Factory in Aventura Mall in Aventura, Florida. I'd never eaten there before, so I asked to speak to the manager. He was great! He sat in the booth with us, and went over the menu. After I decided on Mahi Mahi with broccoli, he told me he would personally supervise the preparation. Then he came back to tell me that the broccoli is cooked in the pasta water, so I would have to pick something else. He suggested pea pods with carrots and zucchini (sp)? He said he would eliminate the soy sauce which was usually used. He was so helpful, and knowledgeable about gluten, which made me feel totally comfortable about the meal.

Kathy,

I'm glad that you had such a positive experience. I've eaten at the Cheesecake factory in the Aventura mall a few times, and though I've never been glutened there, I haven't the experience you've described. Did you ask for the manager before sitting down?

Congrats on a good experience. I live near Aventura Fl, I think, and today I was just thinking I wanted to go to the mall there!!!

NicoleAJ,

Yes, I did ask to speak to a manager before I was seated because they have such an extensive menu I was worried about what to order. I wish I could remember his name, but I can't. He went out of his way to help me, and knew a lot about gluten and what to avoid.

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
